2012 Teen Choice Awards
Template:Infobox Teen Choice Awards The 2012 Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale,[1] were held on July 22, 2012 and broadcasted on Fox. The awards celebrated the year's biggest achievements in music, film, television, sports, fashion, comedy and the Internet and were voted on by teen viewers aged 13 through 19.[2] Over 134 million votes were cast.[1]
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Avengers led the nominees with 11 nominations each, while Justin Bieber, The Vampire Diaries and The Hunger Games each received eight nominations. Kristen Stewart obtained three surfboard wins, including the "Ultimate Choice" award which she shared with Twilight co-stars Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson. Although the actors received most awards, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 had four wins as a whole, including the "Ultimate Choice", bringing the entire series' Teen Choice Award totals to 41.[3] The Hunger Games won seven awards, including Choice Book, Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie, and Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy Movie Actor, for Josh Hutcherson's work.[3] The Vampire Diaries won six awards, including Choice Fantasy/Sci-Fi TV Show, Choice Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi TV and Choice Male Hottie for its star, Ian Somerhalder. [3] Pretty Little Liars won four awards, including Choice TV Drama.[3]
