KOXR is a radio station licensed to Oxnard, California. It broadcasts a traditional ranchera music format featuring mariachi groups of Mexico. It is owned by Radio Lazer.
History
KOXR was launched on June 11, 1955 by Oxnard Broadcasting Corporation.[1] For several decades the station aired a variety format, which always included at least a few hours of Spanish-language programming each week.
In the early 1990s, KOXR began broadcasting completely in Spanish.
