Ontonagon County Airport, also known as Schuster Field, (ICAO: OGM, FAA LID: OGM) is a county-owned public-use airport located 3 miles (5 km) west of the central business district of Ontonagon, Michigan, a village in Ontonagon County, Michigan, United States.[1] It is included in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2017–2021, in which it is categorized as a basic general aviation facility.[4]

Although most airports in the United States use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and International Air Transport Association (IATA), this airport is assigned OGM by the FAA but has no designation from the IATA.[4] It is the westernmost U.S. airport in the Eastern Time Zone.

Facilities and aircraft

Ontonagon County Airport covers an area of 360 acres (145 ha) at an elevation of 665 feet (203 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway: 17/35 is 3,503 by 75 feet (1,068 x 23 m) with an asphalt surface, with one approved GPS-A approach.[1]

For the 12-month period ending December 31, 2015, the airport had no recorded data regarding aircraft operations. In December 2017, there were 4 aircraft based at this airport: all 4 single-engine.[1]
