Funktronica[1] is a musical genre derived from the fusion of electronica and funk.

Funktronica bands

According to Billboard, Particle is a "funktronica" band lead by artists such as GRiZ, Big Gigantic, and Gramatik.[2]

A popular leader of the Funktronia movement is GRiZ, a electronic saxophone-wielding producer hailing from Detroit Michigan. At 25 years old, he's already hailed as the leader of the genre, combining traditional elements with pop, hip hop, and bass.
