Jacques Loeb Wiener Jr. (born 1934, Shreveport, Louisiana) is a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Judge Wiener graduated from Tulane University in 1956. After serving as an officer in the United States Navy, he attended Tulane Law School, where he was editor in chief of the law review. Judge Wiener received his law degree in 1961, graduating first in his class. He then entered private practice in Shreveport, specializing in estates, trusts, and taxation. In 1990, he was appointed to the Fifth Circuit by President George H. W. Bush.[1][2]
Wiener assumed senior status on September 30, 2010.
