Konsole is a free terminal emulator which is part of KDE Software Compilation. Konsole was originally written by Lars Doelle.

The KDE applications Konqueror, Krusader, Kate, Konversation, Dolphin and KDevelop use Konsole to provide embedded terminal functionality.
