Purquazi is a town and a nagar panchayat in Muzaffarnagar district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This town is adjacent to the Uttarakhand state, connecting border of Haridwar district & Muzaffarnagar district.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Purquazi had a population of 23,526. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Purquazi has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 56%. In Purquazi, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Location

Purquazi is located on NH 58, Delhi-Badrinath highway, 56 km from temple city of Haridwar.
