Ravi Shankar Vyas (1884–1984) was an Indian freedom fighter born at Radhu (Kheda district, Gujarat, India) and social reformer, hailing from and working in the state of Gujarat.His native place was sarsavni village near mahemdabad. he was also known with different names like "Borinvala Maharaj" , "Ravishankar Maharaj" "Muksevak", "Muthi unchelo manvi" and "Swarajwala".
Ravishankar Maharaj inaugurated Gujarat in 1960.
He was one of the earliest and closest associates of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and along with Darbar Gopaldas Desai, Narhari Parikh and Mohanlal Pandya, the chief organizer of nationalist revolts in Gujarat in the 1920s and 1930s. Jhaverchand Meghani wrote a novel Maansaee na deeva about the social upliftment work done by Ravi Shankar Maharaj. The novel was very well received by Gujarati readers.[1][2][3]
