Richha is a town and a nagar panchayat in Bareilly district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It has more than 65 rice industries. Most of these are situated on the Pilibhit Road.

Geography

Richha is located at 28°41′38″N 79°31′16″E / 28.694°N 79.521°E / 28.694; 79.521. It has an average elevation of 274 metres (887 feet).

Demographics

As of 2011 India census,[1] Richha had a population of 67,482. Males constituted 53% of the population, and females 47%. Richha's average literacy rate of 73% was higher than the national average of 59.5%, with male literacy at 75% and female literacy at 68%. In Richha, 14% of the population was under 6 years of age.

Richha is a mixture of all major caste and religions, living together peacefully. Most of the population here are Siddiquis. The majority of the population are Muslims followed by Hindu living here peacefully. There are many mosques, and temples in town. the current chairperson of Richha is Abdul Wahid sahab. And Ataur Rehman is a current M.L.A. of Baheri constituency. He is an Aligarian and passed out of AMU with Diploma Engineering.
