Nationality

I know that Deji's (ComedyShortsGamer) page was recently merged with KSIOlajidebt's, but I believe that Deji deserves his own page back, because he is a very successful entertainer, and not just JJ's (KSI) brother. It's like having Beyoncé share a page with Jay Z because she's his wife.

Deji is a very well known YouTuber in the community but he has not done much (if any) significant things that make him an important topic. Even though he is not just KSI's brother, he has not done any eventful/significant things, and because Deji is his brother, he is very well meant to be merged into KSI (entertainer). Evidently "rapper" is a non-starter and I apologise for not having done that basic GNews check before subimitting the RM. Rather than pull it however I've amended the template to KSI (Youtuber), to see what you think. Of course YouTuber is not as elevated as (entertainer) which would benchmark KSI with Madonna. Full name

Given the date of birth and companies listed here -https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/officers/hCg-rdhq8gvJyJgxH2xvQrXVuD0/appointments (see also https://www.thegazette.co.uk/company/10139490 where the name is given alongside fellow Sidemen)- his full name would seem to be Olajide Olayinka Williams (not "William") Olatunji. Internet searches will bring up numerous results for music (the titles matching those by KSI) produced by someone of this name. KSI, not Olatunji

Per WP:NCP, and more specifically, WP:NICKNAME, I believe KSI should be referred to as such instead of Olatunji. "The name used most often to refer to a person in reliable sources". There are a few examples in WP:NICKNAME where a subject is referred to throughout their article by their commonly known name; Le Corbusier, Lady GaGa and George Eliot. A simple google search of KSI gives results only relating to KSI whereas a search of Olatunji gives results relating to Olatunji Yearwood, with only two out of the first 30+ results relating to KSI; BoxRec and an article by the BBC that details a court case involving KSI's brother, which still refers to him as KSI. Even a google search of Olajide Olatunji gives results of articles where he is referred to throughout as KSI. Granted, there will be sources that refer to KSI as Olatunji but the overwhelming majority refer to him as KSI. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. I could go on and on. The overwhelming amount of sources give his full name then proceed to refer to him as KSI, as should this Wikipedia article. — 2.O.Boxing 12:57, 11 November 2019 (UTC)

Just saw this! I previously disagreed, although having seen the sources you provided I'm swayed by the overwhelming examples where the subject is referred to by KSI. @Masterpk404: If WP:NCP or WP:NICKNAME isn’t enough – even though it gives Lady GaGa as an example; who is referred to throughout her article as GaGa, and not by her surname – then MOS:BIO is more specific and clear. In the Subsequent use sub-section of Names it states:
"People who are best known by a pseudonym should be subsequently referred to by their pseudonymous surnames, unless they do not include a recognizable surname in the pseudonym (e.g. Sting, Snoop Dogg, the Edge), in which case the whole pseudonym is used."
Please do not revert the stable version until you’ve gained a consensus on the talk page – which from the links I’ve provided, will not happen, the manual of style is clear – this could be seen as edit warring. Thanks. – 2.O.Boxing 07:59, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Naibuzz.com specialises in estimating net worths of youtubers. They receive direct estimates from the youtuber's management. You can search the net worth of any Sidemen Member on google like Wroetoshaw, Zerkaa, Vikkstar etc, the first result would be from Naibuzz.com. In fact for majority of the youtubers net worths, Naibuzz.com are the first result on google.

The reason why I want to request an update is because when you search "KSI net worth" on google, it shows $11M as the first result from this wikipedia page whereas when you search about his close friend "Wroetoshaw net worth" it shows $12M as the first result. That makes it seem like Wroetoshaw's net worth is more than KSI which is realistically not possible and anyone who knows anything about them knows that.

Moreover, you're already listing that KSI's net worth was $11M in 2017 so his net worth being $20M in 2019 is the most plausible estimate regardless because he has only become way more successful than he was in 2017.

How is Gazette Review estimating KSI's net worth to be $11M in 2017 "reliable" but Naibuzz estimating KSI's net worth to be $20M in 2019 "not reliable" ? They are both estimates, its just that one is from 2017 whereas the other one is from 2019. And you're using the 2017 estimate in 2019, hence I'm requesting you to use the 2019 estimate because the 2017 estimate is outdated now considering its 2019 currently. In fact, naibuzz.com is a much much more successful website than Gazette Review. And even after all of this, if you still don't classify Naibuzz as "reliable" for some reason, you can still get the idea yourself. That Gazette Review estimate was confirmed by KSI to be true years ago, that's why it was added on his wikipedia page in the first place. KSI confirmed it in an interview 2 years ago, I'll try to dig it up. But more importantly, you don't need an official confirmation from the person for an "estimate" to be added, its an "estimate" for a reason. Not a single thing under "Wealth & Philanthropy" section is confirmed to be true, they are all estimates from different websites, yet they are all added. Literally the third line on James Charles' wikipedia is an estimate of his net worth from a website. There are so many wikipedia pages containing net worth estimates. The person doesn't have to confirm it because as I said its an "estimate". I am not removing any information from "Wealth and philanthropy" section, all I'm doing is adding ONE line which is the 2019 estimate of his net worth to a section which is full of estimates. As all the previous editors have mentioned, you have not provided a reliable source. Naibuzz, especially on it's own, is not a reliable source. Thank you for this, I have checked the list and Daily Mirror UK is counted as a reliable source. Here's Daily Mirror's estimate of KSI's net worth and they are exactly the same as what I was trying to add. Anyways, as far as I can see Daily Mirror is in the yellow column that is marginally reliable. And that is giving the exact same figures as the previous two sources which I listed. I believe the fact that multiple sources are giving the exact same figures, one of them being as big as Daily Mirror surely is more than enough.

Business Insider which is also in the yellow column (marginally reliable) is already included in KSI's Wealth and Philanthropy section. Heavy.com which is also in the yellow column (marginally reliable) that also estimated KSI's net worth to be $11M in 2017 is also already included in KSI's Wealth and Philanthropy section.

@Eggishorn: As I said, use Social Blade as a source. Its a sum total of their subscribers, use WP:BUNDLING for bundling citations like its done on Sidemen. So it should be like this -

The third citation lists all their subscribers which totals to 94.6 million which is their current combined subscriber count. Right now it shows 53 million as their combined subscriber count on this article which is outdated. It has been updated on Sidemen but not here. Regarding removal of sourced info

The first line "Olajide Olayinka Williams "JJ" Olatunji, better known as KSI, is an English YouTuber, internet personality, rapper, actor and professional boxer" was changed to "Olajide Olayinka Williams "JJ" Olatunji, better known as KSI, is an English YouTuber and rapper" by Formulaonewiki even though both the citations added to the sentence very clearly mention him as an actor and a boxer as well.[1][2] Formulaonewiki is also repeatedly removing the The Times source and still hasn't given any reason for its removal. My argument is that every reliable source that has written an in-depth article on KSI within the past year has mentioned him as a YouTuber, rapper, actor and a boxer. The Independent and The Times stating him as "YouTuber, rapper, actor and boxer" alone should be more than enough to justify the fact that "actor and boxer" should be included since both of them are regarded as highly reliable sources.

Secondly, the line "ranking as the third-most subscribed music channel in the UK, and placing him among the top 30 most subscribed music artists on the platform" was removed and replaced with "ranking as the sixth-most subscribed and nineteenth-most viewed channel from the United Kingdom, and placing him among the top 130 most subscribed channels on the platform" by Formulaonewiki. In my opinion, the former should be mentioned because KSI being the third most subscribed music channel in the UK has been covered in several reliable sources and is important information (along with him being among top 30 most subscribed artists that has a whole wiki page on it with KSI being listed) because Youtube converted KSI's main channel to "official artist channel" recently (you can see the artist badge beside his name on his main youtube channel), it is officially an artist channel now so his music rank is worth mentioning considering it has been covered in several reliable sources, I don't see a valid reason for its removal. Whereas him being "nineteenth-most viewed channel from the United Kingdom, and placing him among the top 130 most subscribed channels on the platform" hasn't been covered in a single reliable source whatsoever, it has only been covered in one primary source which is social blade. Plus, there are hundreds of wikipedia articles on YouTubers and barely any of them mention "placing him among the top 100/top500 most subscribed channels on the platform" and there's a good reason for that, because this information is literally only covered in one primary source and not a single reliable source. Pewdiepie is the only major exception because his ranking is actually notable and has actually been covered in several reliable sources. I know primary source info can be included in the article, I just don't see why an info that is only covered in a primary source justifies replacing info that is notable and has been covered in several reliable sources and is actually important because like I said, its a music channel now.

Regarding the boxing aspect; he is technically a professional boxer, and sources do state this, but in reality he's a semi-professional celebrity boxer. He's not taking it up as a career and will never fight a legitimate professional. Freddie Flintoff had one licensed bout, with an actual professional, and isn't listed as such. The countless celebrities that have fought in Sport Relief celebrity matchups under amateur rules aren’t listed as amateur boxers. People that boxed in their youth as amateur boxers aren't listed as former amateur boxers. To me it feels like an unnecessary addition to puff up his CV, while also being utterly laughable considering the circumstances. He was literally forced to turn professional by Eddie Hearn in order for the fight to be televised. The examples you gave and this case has a major difference, and I'm sure you know it already, which is major reliable sources backing up the said info here. The amount of coverage that his one professional fight and his two amateur fights have in reliable sources, also stating him as a 'professional boxer', is more than enough for the 'boxer' word to be included in the first line, especially when the coverage from that avenue is more than his 'rapping' which is already included in the first line. @Brojam: Assuming you're referring to "KSI being the third most subscribed music channel in the UK", the most reliable sources mentioning that info are The Face (magazine), MTV, Yahoo! News and Esquire. The most recent reliable source mentioning that is The Face (magazine), its an interview with KSI & they literally state that in the sub-heading (here). And yes, I too agree that the statement "and placing him among the top 130 most subscribed channels on the platform" should be removed. I’m surprised the statement wasn’t removed by anyone before this. Not only are there barely any other YouTuber pages showing the worldwide channel rankings like you said but being “among the top 130” of anything is useless to mention especially when it hasn’t been covered in a single reliable source, you don’t see any wikipedia article of a musician stating “ranking as the 130th highest selling artist” or a wikipedia article of an author stating “ranking as the 127th highest selling writer” etc. If he was no.1 then sure but from 1 to 130 is such a huge gap that its just unnecessary & odd to mention especially when its not covered in any reliable source. @Potato69x420: you have to take into account that everyone subscribed to ksi's second channel JJ Olatunji is probably already subbed to his main anyway. even if this isn't true there is still likely a major overlap in subscribers that cannot be explicitly determined, and the channel statistics should not be combined in such a way to avoid confusion. what you're saying implies there isn't a single person subbed to both channels ( which probably isn't true because it's literally the same guy ). if it's a corporation on the other hand that owns youtube channels i guess it would be ok to combine subs since that's an industry on its own, but both channels here are owned by a single person (ksi doesnt have a manager for his second channel anyway) LambdaSec (talk) 00:32, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

JJ claims to be 6' tall, however this is likely a generous number and evidence suggests that he is 5'11" or even 5'10". For example Harry Lewis is between 5'10" and 5'11", and in this picture we see them standing next to each other, and they appear to be the same height. Another thing, In a video from years ago he says that with his hair he is six foot.
