A tag has been placed on Joel Downs, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MECU≈talk 02:17, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:JoelDowns.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:JoelDowns.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:PueblaParrots.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Lorenzo Buelna has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.
If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Jared-Abruzzo.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Jared-Abruzzo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:28, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Cade-Gaspar.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Cade-Gaspar.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Pinecrest Cemetery
[edit]A Proposed Deletion template has been added to the article Pinecrest Cemetery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Karanacs 20:28, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Soft 'N' Cuddly Men
[edit]A tag has been placed on Soft 'N' Cuddly Men requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Michael WhiteT·C 21:55, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Juan López (baseball), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PMDrive1061 (talk) 21:35, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Maple Grove Cemetery
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Maple Grove Cemetery, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- Cemetery with no assertion of notability.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Replaceable fair use Image:Kal-Daniels.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Kal-Daniels.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. Speedy deletion of Gifford, Pennsylvania
[edit]A tag has been placed on Gifford, Pennsylvania requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. A tag has been placed on V.I.E.W. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

[edit]Thanks for your support Alex. Cheeers – MusiCitizen 12:41, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
In general baseball cards do not fall under fair use because the copyright is still held by Topps, Fleer, Upper Deck, etc. Posting images of their cards would probably be considered to be in violation of their copyright. Older baseball card from the 1800's early part of the 20th century can sometimes be used as the images have fallen into the public domain because of their age. This is my best understanding of the issue. Also check out this link. No Guru 23:17, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

- The Topps permission is useless to us, because it applies only to Wikipedia, not to any downstream users, or even other Wikimedia projects, such as Wikinews or Wikibooks. That's why we want real licenses like GFDL or CC, not vague permissions. Stan 04:58, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Topps baseball cards images
[edit]Hi. I don't believe that this letter provides adequate justification for use of the images of Topps baseball cards on Wikipedia. Though I'm unsure what your original query to the Topps legal staff was, I can only assume that it was not adequetly explained that Wikipedia is licensed under the GFDL and thus cannot use works or images that are not released under a compatible free license, aside from the rare items that can be used under the fair use doctrine of US law. Please retag these images properly in accordance with Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and Wikipedia:Image use policy, or they will have to be deleted. Thank you.--Sean Black (talk) 05:43, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Pete Adams (baseball)
[edit]I have nominated Pete Adams (baseball), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pete Adams (baseball). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Replaceable fair use File:Tom-Dunbar.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tom-Dunbar.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Wizardman 18:41, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
Baseball AfDs
[edit]I notice you've recently nominated quite a few articles at WP:AFD. I'd like to suggest a couple of other alternative ways to go about deletion for articles that are not likely to be controversial. First, if you are the creator and only editor of an article, it is possible to tag the article for speedy deletion using the {{db-author}} template. Alternatively, if other editors have edited the article or you'd like to give other editors a chance to halt the deletion, you can tag it for proposed deletion. That gives anyone else who may be interested in keeping the article a week to remove the deletion tag, but avoids going through the AFD discussion process. These processes may be useful for nominations that are not likely to be controversial. BRMo (talk) 16:24, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
The article Grady White has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable minor leaguer, fails WP:ATHLETE and WP:GNG.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Glenfarclas (talk) 02:36, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Francisco Butto AfD
[edit]I noticed that you added an AfD tag to Francisco Butto, but you didn't complete the nomination by creating a discussion page and adding it to the AfD log. (The AfD tag points to a previous AfD discussion on this article, which resulted in a decision to "keep" it.) If you would like to proceed with a second nomination, please complete the process, otherwise please remove the AfD tag. Thanks. BRMo (talk) 05:11, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Alexsautographs! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 19 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Non-free use of Baseball Cards
[edit]Hi, Alexsautographs. I can appreciate your work on improving the baseball player articles -- unfortunately however, an image of a coprighted baseball card as a picture for a player's article does not meet Wikipedia's fair-use criteria. (See #7 of unacceptable uses. Baseball cards may meet fair use for a BLP only when the card itself is discussed in the article for something notable, as for example Cal Ripken). Therefore, the following files which you uploaded should be tagged for speedy deletion:
- File:Randy-Asadoor.jpg
- File:Larry-Barnes.jpg
- File:Sean-Bergman.jpg
- File:Rich-Bordi.jpg
- File:Warren-Brusstar.jpg
- File:Brian-Dayett.jpg
- File:Sergio-Contreras.jpg
- File:Jim-Farr.jpg
- File:Ray-Fontenot.jpg
- File:Milt-Graff.jpg
- File:Steve-Hosey.jpg
- File:Johnny-James.jpg
- File:Larry-Jaster.jpg
If you have reason to believe that these files meet fair use inclusion for other reasons, please add the {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}} to the file. On the other hand, if you know of other files which you have uploaded that will also fail Fair Use policy, please tag them for deletion. Regards. — CactusWriter | needles 11:46, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick response. And no problem -- I understand that these were uploaded back when you were just learning the ropes. This kind of fair use error is common. There is a big learning curve for all the rules and regs. I have marked the above for deletion. But it would be very helpful if you could review the other files that you have uploaded during the years and check them for proper use. Cheers. — CactusWriter | needles 09:52, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
RfA
[edit]I don't want you to come away thinking that the main reason your RfA is failing right now is because you only waited half a day from the last one; and I think it's unfortunate that that is the first thing the opposers are bringing up. If you have set adminship as a goal, it might be a good idea to try an editor review or even a less formal process of seeking outside opinions on what you could do to improve your editing habits. As for myself, I havent really looked at your edits in detail, though this talk page seems to indicate that you've created quite a few things that were quickly deleted. -- Soap Talk/Contributions 20:26, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Your second RFA
[edit]I've closed it, as it had no chance and was a disruption, wethe ror not to prove a WP:POINT I don't know but either way it was. Please, read WP:NOTNOW and the associated links - and don't even think about running for several months - honestly you won't pass with your current attitude. Sorry. Pedro : Chat 22:17, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- You will not, I repeat not stand a chance so soon. Whilst it may not be trolling it does look pointy. Even if this is not true I can assure you that you will need several months of clear editing before getting the bit (and I might add it's not that great when you do). At the point of closure you would have needed some 40 - 50 supports with no further opposes which was unrealistic in the extreme. I'm sorry but honestly I'd ignore RFA for some time is my best advice. If you want you could allways go to WP:BN but I'd be suprised if any bureaucrat would recommend reopening your RFA Pedro : Chat 22:29, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reply. I'm not trying to be harsh here, but I've been knocking around WP for a while and seriously - two RFA's in as many days is not a good plan and really is poor form. Having said that, the last thing I want is to drive away a quality and driven editor, so please don't feel this is personal or vindicitive - it's just knocking through some red tape and trying to help everyone. Happy editing and if you need any assistance please feel free to hit me up. Pedro : Chat 22:35, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

==Minor league team stubs==I see that you have sort of a passion for baseball, and have probably placed some good articles on Wikipedia. However, do you think your baseball stubs on Minor league teams are sufficiently notable for Wikipedia? I mean I really don't know. The problem as I see it is: if the individual organization has received no or very little notice, then it is not notable WP:ORG. Also, an organization or team is notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject. A single source is almost never sufficient for demonstrating the notability of an organization WP:ORG#Primary criteria. I notice most all of your minor league stubs are based on one web site. BurtAlert (talk) 01:16, 4 June 2010 (UTC)== Larry Jaster article ==The miscellaneous section that I deleted contained information that was already in the article.Jaster threw five shutouts versus the Dodgers in 1966
That he gave up a Grand slam home run in the 1968 World Series
That he started the first ever Montreal Expo home game
As for the other informationThe height and weight of a player at the time he played isn't seen in the vast majority of wikipedia articles and I've edited over 1,000 of them that concern former MLB players and have created some from scratch. For instance Jim Duckworth.
Jaster was a pitching coach. That could be put in the article's main section. In fact Jaster has been a minor league pitching coach or pitching coordinator in the Orioles or Braves organizations for over twp decade.
His nickname is in dispute. I've found sources that Jaster's nickname was creeper not Dodger killer.
The article has problems of its own. For instance, the writing is sloppy and can use editing to make it neater. Also opinions are given on his hitting, and ERA etc. This is an encyclopedia entry, not an editorial. Some of the opinions may be right, some may be wrong, but the tone of the article is supposed to be kept neutral.Facts are also either wrong or foggy. For instance-Jaster finished T4 in the 1966 ROY voting not 4th alone(Randy Hundley and Cleon Jones got the same points)
Jaster did not call it quits at the end of the 1972 season. He spent parts of two more years pitching for the Richmond Braves, the AAA affiliate of Atlanta.
The college he attended is referred to as Northwood University not Northwood Institute.
Jaster made 8 errors in his career not seven.
Here's some information that would improve the article-He had a son and brother who both played professional baseball.
In a 1968 game against the NY Mets, Jaster came within 4 outs of a no-hitter perfect game. He retired the first 23 batters in a row.His Fielding percentage in 1969 was .684 due to his making 6 errors in 19 chances.
Google has a news archive. I may be able to find other things about Jaster to include in the article with proper citations. Here's one article I foundhttp://news.google.com/newspapers?id=FIwxAAAAIBAJ&sjid=-KkFAAAAIBAJ&pg=4294,4276669&dq=larry+jaster&hl=enBottom line, the article needs a great deal of cleanup. You sound like a fan of Jaster's, nothing wrong with that but encyclopedia entries aren't fan articles. I'm willing to clean up the article, put in the info I mentioned above, fix facts, and do general cleanup work. Then you can read it, and give me input back.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
A tag has been placed on Society for the Abolition of the Month of August requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.If you can assert the notability of the subject, contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
at the top of the article, immediately below the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate), and give your reasons on the article's talk page, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. --DAJF (talk) 23:15, 30 March 2011 (UTC)==Orphaned non-free image File:Sama1.jpg==
Thanks for uploading File:Sama1.jpg. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. College baseball accomplishments
[edit]I ask that you stop prodding and merging baseball players who were nationally recognized as a college baseball player per WP:ATHLETE. I removed your prods at Jeff Corsaletti (all-American in 2005) and Michael Belfiore (baseball) (2009 second team selection).--TM 17:40, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
Surely if you are putting an article up at AfD, you believe it should be deleted. Putting up an ambivalent nomination is (a) a waste of time, and (b) going to get other editors even more angry with you than they already are. I can see where this point and other similar ones have been made many times before but it apparently hasn't gotten through: stop making these nominations when you are wishy-washy on them yourself. If you truly question the validity of this (or any other) article - and I mean question it, rather than confidently believing it should not exist you are uncertain - then raise the issue at the article's talk page. If you're concerned that the talk page won't attract enough attention then go to the talk page of the WikiProject(s) the article belongs to.
In the case of Scott Campbell, you should already be aware of how an sports-related article can pass WP:GNG without passing WP:NSPORT, and that WP:NSPORT is only a guide as to the likelihood that it'll pass WP:GNG. Afaber012 (talk) 23:42, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
- When you continue to make comments like this, it really does not help your case when you have chosen to ignore, to date, the RfC/U regarding your conduct. Although an RfC cannot issue or enforce any sort of sanction, I am notifying you now that choosing to ignore the RfC and continuing disruptive action could lead to a block anyway. Disruptive editing is defined as "a pattern of edits, which may extend over a considerable period of time or number of articles, that has the effect of: disrupting progress toward improving an article; or, disrupting progress toward the fundamental project of building an encyclopedia". Your actions constitute this, and I am asking you to read the concerns raised at the RfC/U linked above on your talk page, and perhaps to formulate a response. If the RfC continues as it is currently headed, the next step will probably be something more formal that will involve sanctions. Alex, you are a good content editor and the Baseball WikiProject does not want to lose your contributions, but you must reconsider these editing habits if you want to continue your thus far productive career on this Wikipedia. — KV5 • Talk • 00:37, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- The Scott Campbell is the only one to date I have been ambivalent on.
- I was just joking about Camping. I was planning on withdrawing my nomination anyway. Alex (talk) 09:37, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- Again, you don't get the point. You make throw away comments like that so often that others start to question how seriously you take anything on here. I realise that it's not a business, that we don't all rely on each other to work hard to get a paycheck at the end of the week, or anything of that nature, but people invest time and effort into this. And when you act so cavalierly about the whole thing as though none of it matters, that it continually seems as though because you hold an opinion that its right and everyone else is wrong, that your way of going on is best and anyone who disagrees doesn't know what they're talking about, it shouldn't then be a surprise that others get annoyed and angry with you. If you truly want to be a positive contributor, take notice of the comments that have been made about and to you, and show that you're trying to work with everyone else. Disagreements about how to handle situations are of course going to happen, but when they're handled maturely there's usually a positive outcome. The attitude and reputation that you're cultivating at the moment make it almost impossible for that to happen. Afaber012 (talk) 10:35, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- Everything Afaber wrote above is absolutely true. This response, while technically "a response", did absolutely nothing to address the concerns raised by the certifiers and other editors who have raised concerns. While it is not required that you responded, it is considered good form to do so and in such a way that you directly address each concern that other editors raise about your conduct. Your attitude, described as "cavalier" above (that is absolutely the perfect word for it), is not helping your case. Completely refusing to acknowledge that you have done anything wrong, as per the permalink above, is simple proof that you truly either a) do not understand how deletion processes operate; or, b) that you do understand and are deliberately circumventing the normal progression. When you are "just joking" about something, that's all well and good, but there is a time and a place for humor. Making a snarky comment like that at an AfD, when you are fully aware and have been notified that there is an active RfC about your conduct regarding AfD, indicates to me that you don't care enough to make changes that will make this community activity better for everyone. Right now, your actions are not improving the community; they are hindering it. — KV5 • Talk • 11:14, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
