July 2021
[edit]- Ruth Todd: nominated at AfD; notified 216.155.223.168 (talk · contribs) 19:41, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Todd's career in television news does not rise to notability under the WP:GNG. Consider checking inbound links and moving Ruth Todd (researcher) here if deleted.
- List of NC State University forests: nominated at AfD; notified Sparkgap (talk · contribs) 01:15, 11 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Not sure if this should be a standalone list. A merger into List of North Carolina state forests might be troublesome based on definitions. It has one incoming link, an incorrect title (should be "List of North Carolina State University forests") and is not a very good aid to navigation with just one of them having an article.
- Peace TV Urdu: nominated at AfD; notified Irfan Arshad (talk · contribs) 05:45, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: The Urdu-language service does not appear to have standalone notability from Peace TV, its parent channel.
- State network: nominated at AfD; notified Tvtonightokc (talk · contribs) 03:57, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: I rarely bring articles to AfD with as much scorn as the one presented here. It is a definitionally imprecise, source-bare piece of mush that has no place on the encyclopedia. In 1,085 words, it struggles to say what could be said more concisely in one sentence—without an article—and provides poor-quality examples, conflating educational and commercial statewide television services and sometimes considering a "state network" to cover a part of a state, which is an untenable definition. The topic term itself is something of a neologism, being mostly used in the names of entities in television and radio and not as a topic of study itself. Sure, there are statewide public television networks in a variety of US states, but this article is among our worst in broadcasting. It has no place here. It should be deleted.
- Category:Digital low-power television stations: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Low-power television stations in the United States; notified RingtailedFox (talk · contribs) 16:47, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: The current category is redundant in a US context after all remaining analog TV stations (with 15 remote exceptions in Alaska) were shut down on July 13. It should either be converted to a category for LPTVs (with stations that failed to transition removed) or deleted as redundant if such a category is not desired. Changing the scope to US and removing CFTV-DT and CHMG-DT will create a parallel to Category:Low-power FM radio stations.
- Ilona Carson: nominated at AfD; notified Railgun (talk · contribs) 07:51, 20 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Topic appears not to meet the general notability guideline.
- Bob Donaldson (news anchor): nominated at AfD; notified Nsgaeverine (talk · contribs) 23:36, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
- K15MH-D: nominated at RfD; Target: KDVR (notified) 15:13, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: I have been working on updating records for TV translator stations. K15MH-D is unusual in that, instead of rebroadcasting a full TV channel, it is set up by the local translator association to rebroadcast the main channels of five different stations. (These are KBDI-TV, KTVD, KRMA-TV, KWGN-TV and KCDO-TV, per FCC records.) There is no suitable redirect target (and it is not a KDVR translator; I believe RabbitEars to be incorrect here, as Anton, Colorado is served by another "stacked" translator that is set up in a similar manner).
- Radio Vida Abundante: nominated at AfD; notified Tae04gu (talk · contribs) 01:19, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
- Star Trek: Chains of Betrayal: nominated at AfD; notified Yodaxv (talk · contribs) 03:12, 25 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This fan fiction film does not appear to meet WP:NFILM.
- The Third Terrorist: nominated at AfD; notified Redhanker (talk · contribs) 22:38, 26 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: As part of a major revamp of KFOR-TV, I came across this article about a 2005 book promoting an alleged conspiracy around the Oklahoma City bombing. I am struggling to find notability in reliable sources. It is mentioned in two sources, https://web.archive.org/web/20120924232653/http://www.laweekly.com/2005-07-07/news/the-rohrabacher-test/ and https://www.patriotledger.com/article/20110311/NEWS/303119753 , but I am struck by the lack of coverage at publication in reliable sources. Most of the news materials I can find in the 2004-05 material are either from known non-reliable sources, notably WND, or are actually letters to the editor.I do not believe that the author is independently notable, either, and nominate her for deletion::Jayna Davis (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
- PBOC Motorsports Club: nominated at AfD; notified JDS2005 (talk · contribs) 16:46, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Organization is not notable per WP:ORG. Last AfD was in January 2008 and resulted in a delete !vote, but the page was restored three months later—with no substantive content changes at the time. There is no SIGCOV in Florida newspapers. In 13 years, our standards have tightened enough that this organization is not fit for inclusion.
August 2021
[edit]- Kuca: nominated at RfD; Target: The House (1975 film) (notified); notified RjwilmsiBot (talk · contribs) 04:08, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Kuca (footballer) was created in 2014; the movie does not seem to be a PRIMARYTOPIC, especially being the native language title. We also have the two topics at KUCA, a radio station and an airport code. Ideally, KUCA (all caps) would redirect to KUCA (FM), and the radio station, airport, footballer and movie would all be linked from Kuca, but I'm not sure how this should be arranged so I'm bringing it to RfD.
- Multimedios Televisión: nominated at RM; New name: Canal 6 (Mexico) 03:10, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Last year, I was asked by Mrschimpf if it was time to rename this page given the increasing prominence of the Canal 6 brand over "Multimedios Televisión". At the time, I was opposed to this change. However, common usage has swung in favor of Canal 6 in the last 15 months and I now support this change, so I am bringing it to a discussion here.A series of events from 2016–2018 resulted in Multimedios obtaining and using the near-national rights to virtual channel number 6 at the same time as it opened some new transmitters in populous areas, including Mexico City. Increasingly, the "Canal 6" brand has been used as the primary by the company.Recent IFT documentation mentions "Canal 6 (formerly Multimedios)": [2] (bottom of Page 1). There is insufficient documentation in English-language sources, but it is also primary in more and more news articles from the Mexican press, such as [3], [4] and [5]. [6] doesn't even mention Multimedios! I also note that Milenio, which is co-owned, has also written more promotional stories this year in a similar vein: [7] [8] [9]. The eswiki article on this topic was moved similarly in January 2020. Google Trends data indicates that queries for "Canal 6" outweigh "Multimedios Televisión" in a way that has significantly accelerated in the last 18 months.
- Glen Cove, Vallejo, California: nominated at AfD; notified Busguy9 (talk · contribs) 00:10, 28 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Overly detailed article on a non-notable neighborhood created by a blocked sock. A merge to Vallejo, California would be undue.
- Route of Ages: nominated at AfD; notified 24.69.255.205 (talk · contribs) 22:25, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Uncited article of plot information on a concept from two seasons of the TV series Andromeda. Doesn't meet the GNG. Only potential redirect target is List of Andromeda episodes which mentions some of this topic; a merge would be undue.
September 2021
[edit]- Radio Neshat: nominated at AfD; notified Raminiranfar (talk · contribs) 03:01, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This internet radio station does not meet the WP:GNG.
- NTD (TV station): nominated at RM; New name: NTD (Australian TV station) 04:06, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Current article title is an incomplete disambiguation situation with New Tang Dynasty Television (which frequently calls itself "NTD TV" or "NTD Television").
- Alex Roland: nominated at AfD; notified Alex Roland (talk · contribs) 08:01, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Deprodded by Sdkb. I believe the topic fails WP:BIO. Note that, as is common in broadcast journalism (and the source of some confusion), the Emmy awards are from a state/regional chapter and are not national Emmys; I don't personally find that the awards from NATAS chapters are notable on their own.
- List of television stations in the San Francisco Bay Area: nominated at AfD; notified DaveOinSF (talk · contribs) 00:53, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: We don't have any other topic overviews of TV stations by market in this style. The contents lack citations and duplicate {{SF TV}} and the various pages featured.
- List of Los Angeles television stations: nominated at AfD; notified Jleon (talk · contribs) 01:08, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Unusual list duplicates {{LA TV}} without imparting much new material. Page is orphaned.
- Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists: nominated at AfD; notified Aymatth2 (talk · contribs) 05:25, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: I cannot find substantial coverage of this organization on its own (though it gets plenty of mentions because it offers a certification). Previous AfD ended no consensus 15 years ago (evenly split keep/delete). This page is a PROMO disaster.
- Category:Multimedios Televisión: nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Canal 6 (Mexico) 06:31, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Per recent RM
- Category:Multimedios Televisión affiliates: nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:Canal 6 (Mexico) affiliates 06:31, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Per recent RM
October 2021
[edit]- North Herts FM: nominated at AfD; notified DarkHorseEurope (talk · contribs) 06:11, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Non-notable community radio station with coverage that does not meet the GNG, all primary/affiliated sources and links to Companies House. Despite the name, never broadcast on an actual FM frequency, as far as I can tell. My PROD was declined by NemesisAT—this station might have been salvageable if it had broadcast on the FM dial, but it didn't.
- Template:10-digit dialing transition: nominated at TfD 20:49, 29 October 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This template was used to transclude a section of text into the articles of about 80 telephone area codes. This is now a past event, so this should be substed on the pages that use it and deleted.
November 2021
[edit]- Brisbane Football Club (defunct): nominated at RM 05:46, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: The (defunct) disambiguator is generally not very useful, and more precise disambiguation can probably be had. Would Brisbane Football Club (1866) or Brisbane Football Club (1866–1887) make a better title? It appears there is some disagreement as to when the club folded, so I'm unsure if a full year–year disambiguator is appropriate.
- Elizabeth Espinosa: nominated at AfD; notified IterationX+1 (talk · contribs) 06:14, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Despite working at a number of television and radio stations and having been on a reality show, I can't say that the subject meets the WP:GNG.
- Area code 602: nominated at RM; New name: Area codes 602, 480, and 623 05:46, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This is a combination merger and requested move discussion and will be tagged as a merge from Area code 480 and Area code 623. In November 2021, the Arizona Corporation Commission approved a proposal from the state's telecommunications industry, received as part of relief planning for area code 480, to erase the geographic boundaries between 602, 480, and 623 in 2023 in lieu of the otherwise necessary assignment of two new area codes in three years to this area. While that may seem some distance off, the fact is that improving these three pages on a standalone basis will result immediately in much the same article in triplicate, as the present AC boundaries were created as the result of one three-way split event in 1999. The current pages could stand to have citations improved. Readers will be better served by one improved, well cited article covering these area codes in advance of the 2023 boundary elimination, not the maintenance of three separate pages covering much the same ground. (Area codes 213 and 323 was merged from two prior pages in 2017 after a similar action combined two separate area codes into an overlay complex, so there is precedent for the merger.)
- 33rd Midsouth Emmy Awards: nominated at AfD; notified MadeYourReadThis (talk · contribs) 06:56, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Pages for individual years of regional Emmy awards (granted by specific chapters of NATAS). These do not confer notability and are overly detailed cruft for the encyclopedia. These are the only such pages of their kind.
- Allison Kropff: nominated at AfD; notified Dwightforrm (talk · contribs) 07:01, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This article on a broadcast journalist does not meet the WP:GNG. Note that the Emmy awards mentioned are regional awards, as is common in this field, and are not notable national awards.
- Talk:Junípero Serra Catholic High School: nominated at RM; New name: JSerra Catholic High School 07:58, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Page moved without discussion away from the proposed title by Cristiano Tomás in January, claiming "only recently been used in marketing materials", but it appears to be the common and official name of this institution. Internally, it seems to be only used for the road to the school and in mentions of the saint [10]. Universally referred to in the news media as JSerra: [11], [12] [13]. Only references to "Junipero Serra High School" are from the very early years/construction process.
December 2021
[edit]- Category:Holladay Broadcasting radio stations: nominated at CfDS (C2D); New name: Category:The Radio People radio stations 07:48, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: To match The Radio People, which is this company. The stations linked from there should be in this category.
- Category:Delmarva Broadcasting radio stations: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Mlaffs (talk · contribs) 07:51, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: No longer an active company (was purchased by Forever Media, which does not have an article or category but likely merits one).
- Category:Mapleton Communications radio stations: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Mlaffs (talk · contribs) 07:54, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Company is no longer in business. Only remaining article in category is a redirect on a topic now owned by another company.
- Category:Red Peach Radio: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Futurewiki (talk · contribs) 07:56, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: SMALLCAT; only four possible pages, all linked from each other by {{Ruston Radio}}.
- Category:Quincy Media: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Mrceleb2007 (talk · contribs) 07:57, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Company is no longer in business and has sold all of its media properties, resulting in their removal to other categories as appropriate.
- Category:Arbitron market by state navigational boxes: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:U.S 08:11, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Arbitron, now fully subsumed by Nielsen Media Research, defined/defines radio markets in the United States. These are proprietary, and in television, the use of Nielsen market definitions led to an OTRS ticket in 2008. Additionally, not all of the markets reflected in this and its child subcategories are defined radio markets by Arbitron. Renaming would remove any potential concerns similar to the old OTRS ticket for this category and more accurately reflect scope. There are 51 subcategories of the form "(STATE) Arbitron market navigational boxes" which should all be changed to "(STATE) radio market navigational boxes".
- Template:UNC-TV DTV: nominated at TfD; notified CentralTime301 (talk · contribs) 08:16, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: There are no articles to use this template because PBS North Carolina covers all the relevant transmitters. Created by a blocked user.
- Category:Georgia media navigational boxes: nominated at CfDS (C2C); New name: Category:Georgia (U.S. state) media navigational boxes 18:22, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Only subcat of Georgia (U.S. state) navigational boxes without the disambiguator.
- Category:Time Zone Intrastate Broadcast templates: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified TheDayTheEarthShook (talk · contribs) 08:12, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: This is the only category tree for templates by time zone on the encyclopedia. It is redundant to others (most of the ultimate categories here are in a subcat of Category:United States mass media navigational boxes) and should be deleted. {{USTimeZoneTemplates}} is being TfDed in a related action. To be deleted alongside it are its nine immediate child categories.
- Template:USTimeZoneTemplates: nominated at TfD; notified OrderSpoke8 (talk · contribs) 08:13, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: TfD accompanies Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2021 December 14#Category:Time Zone Intrastate Broadcast templates. This template is a flat list with 9 of the 10 categories for deletion in the linked discussion.
- Category:Northwest Region Intrastate Broadcast Templates: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:Southwest Region Intrastate Broadcast Templates; notified OrderSpoke8 (talk · contribs) 08:40, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Combined category name would be Western United States mass media navigational boxes. Part of a rescoping of the regional boxes to use U.S. Census Bureau regions. Several subcats would be moved from one region to the other to suit.
- Category:Midwest Region Intrastate Broadcast Templates: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Midwestern United States mass media navigational boxes; notified CPLANAS1985 (talk · contribs) 08:44, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Along with the two renames listed below and the merger of the Southwest and Northwest templates listed in the next item, part of a rescoping of these categories to use U.S. Census Bureau regions and be appropriately titled. Also:*Category:Northeast Region Intrastate Broadcast Templates to Category:Northeastern United States mass media navigational boxes*Category:Southeast Region Intrastate Broadcast Templates to Category:Southern United States mass media navigational boxesThe state changes that would be made as a result of the redefined scope are as follows: Montana moved from Midwest to West; Oklahoma moved from Midwest to South; DC, Maryland, and Delaware moved from Northeast to South.
- Category:Intrastate ABC templates: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:American Broadcasting Company affiliate navigational boxes; notified CoolKatt number 99999 (talk · contribs) 17:29, 14 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Change to titles removing the word "Intrastate". Some have C2D changes applied, originally suggested by Gonnym. A new parent category for all but NPR, Category:United States television navigational boxes by network affiliation or format, would be created with this change. The proposed title for the NPR box matches other subcategories of Category:United States radio by format templates. The same inspiration is used for the religious and Spanish categories.*Category:Intrastate CBS templates to Category:CBS affiliate navigational boxes*Category:Intrastate CW templates to Category:The CW affiliate navigational boxes*Category:Intrastate Fox templates to Category:Fox Broadcasting Company affiliate navigational boxes*Category:Intrastate ION templates to Category:Ion Television affiliate navigational boxes*Category:Intrastate MyNetworkTV templates to Category:MyNetworkTV affiliate navigational boxes*Category:Intrastate NBC templates to Category:NBC affiliate navigational boxes*Category:Intrastate PBS templates to Category:PBS member station navigational boxes*Category:NPR by state templates to Category:NPR member stations by state templates*Category:Intrastate religious television templates to Category:United States religious television stations by state templates*Category:Intrastate Spanish TV templates to Category:United States Spanish-language television stations by state templates
- DYAG-FM: nominated at AfD; notified Boombastic061 (talk · contribs) 20:55, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: Bringing to AfD because of a fraudulently tagged prod (copied from a now-deleted page). However, I would have endorsed this legitimate prod anyway (like I did on the one that was actually copied)—this station does not meet the GNG, and its existence is not verified by an NTC list.

- Category:United States adult hits radio stations by state templates: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Mlaffs (talk · contribs) 18:35, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
- Reason: There was only one template of this kind for the format, in New Mexico. It links 2 stations. I have sent it to TfD (Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2021 December 18#Template:Adult Hits Radio Stations in New Mexico). As a result, this category will not be necessary if the template is deleted.

- Radio 1 FM (Gambia): nominated at RM 07:42, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I am sure that (Gambia) is not a proper disambiguator, but is the correct disambiguator for this page (the Gambia) or (The Gambia)? Capitalization is inconsistent in other pages ([15]) and I cannot find an appropriate guideline.
- Star FM 102.9 Mhz: nominated at RM; New name: Star FM (South Africa) 07:51, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Consistency with other pages on stations named Star FM (and would eliminate the incorrect capitalization of "MHz").
- Star FM: nominated at RM; New name: Star FM (Australia) 07:54, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: No WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Star FM Zimbabwe has 178 views over 30 days compared to 208 for this Australian network. A dabpage at this title would have quite a few entries, and a lot of incoming links come to this page from Germany, Nigeria, and other countries either pointing to station articles we do not have or to one of the other stations with this name.
- Horns Up (radio): nominated at AfD; notified MetalDiablo666 (talk · contribs) 18:32, 15 January 2022 (UTC)

- Primary NFL television stations: nominated at AfD; notified TMC1982 (talk · contribs) 04:31, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This is not an article: it's a series of lists too extensive/crufty for the encyclopedia (such lists as former TV networks for NFL teams pre-1960, NFL games that were aired on local stations), etc. I corrected a typo and added an inline reference; astonishingly, it is the only one on the page.It is true that one television station in a given NFL home city airs more than half the games of the home city team in any given year, but with more primetime games and cross-flexing, this is not very important. More importantly, these arrangements are functions of a network affiliation, not of individual station deals. This is, to use my words from another AfD, a source-bare piece of mush that has no place on the encyclopedia.
- Body In Balance: nominated at AfD; notified Happyboiman (talk · contribs) 19:09, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: I can't find significant coverage of the channel that demonstrates its notability outside of the paywalled Telegraph article. There's also a WP:TNT case with most of the content. The company seems to have ambled on over the last decade without notability; if there's any, it's in the 2007–11 period.
- Cradle of Erotica: nominated at AfD; notified Lovelesskw (talk · contribs) 20:40, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

- Talk:REDTV (online TV channel): nominated at RM; New name: RedTV (streaming service) 07:47, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: Twofold move request: to satisfy MOS:TM and to get a better disambiguator. I'm unsure if (YouTube channel) would be correct; all their content is on YouTube, but they seem to be a bit more than that. "Online TV channel" is awkward phrasing and used by no other page. It also implies that there is a linear feed of RedTV programming, which there is not (I am using this as a bright line to determine eligibility for the television stations task force and will likely remove it from there after this RM).

- Chico–Redding, California: nominated at AfD; notified 2Liters (talk · contribs) 21:06, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: We do not have articles on individual television markets in the United States, and this one is not notable on its own. Further, the definitions of TV markets are proprietary information. In 2008, we were slapped with an OTRS ticket for overuse of TV Designated Market Area information from Nielsen Media Research, so this is more sensitive a topic than it might appear on first blush. There is already a navbox and a category for this market, which should suffice as navigation. This article does not need to be here, and having it here creates other concerns because of the Nielsen issue.

- Reason: Support possible restoration/rewrite of the article that was here. The redirect target, Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, does not mention the graduate institution. A second article on the institution under an old name, Picower Graduate School Of Molecular Medicine, was recently discovered, and I've given it some basic information to update (and possibly move to this title which is the current name). Given how selective it is—it admits MDs!—sourcing is quite hard to come by. Pinging Natureium who made the redirect.

- Reason: with Saint Peter's Peahens basketball → Saint Peter's Peacocks women's basketballThe women's athletic teams at Saint Peter's University have used the Peacocks moniker as well since 2013. That August, a move was made by The Ink Daddy! but was reverted four months later by Jrcla2. It is standard for these article titles to be updated in this instance. A perusal of the SPU athletics website shows no mention of Peahens in any recent year; indeed, the women's basketball players wear "Peacocks" jerseys. The name is not mentioned in the athletics style guide which was revised after a major rebrand effort in 2020 ([16]).I believe this undiscussed reversion from years ago is actually causing reliable sources to print Peahens as a name years after its discontinuation by the university. A March 4, 2022, Times Herald-Record article used the name Peahens (republished by Yahoo at [17]), and I see a few other scattered stories that are using this name incorrectly in recent years. In 2014, The Statesman, the student newspaper at SUNY Stony Brook, had to print a correction about the name:
A previous version referred to the Saint Peter’s women’s basketball team as the “Saint Peter’s Peahens.” The team is known as the “Saint Peter’s Peacocks.”
The university's athletics style guide does not even mention the name, and publications from their own sports information department do not use it ([18]). We need to do likewise.

- Sto꞉lo: nominated at RM; New name: Stó꞉lō 20:02, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This page on a group of Canadian First Nations has a confusing title history, but the diacritics were removed in a page move on 1 January 2011. A 2014 RM that removed "people" from this title noted that the lack of diacritics reflected "the normal use of this common term in Canadian media". There has been conversation as recently as September 2021 about the non-use of diacritics in the title. It would appear that in recent years, dovetailing with a new attitude to writing about Indigenous topics, some reliable sources have increased their use of these diacritics. At the CBC, most articles since 2017 [19] [20] [21] have included them. One article in 2018 did not include them in the title but did in the body: [22]. This has not been the case at the Vancouver Sun — usage is mixed ([23] [24]). Canadian Press does not seem to use them at all; I am unsure of their stylebook's preference for diacritics.I also do note that (as highlighted in the section above) most of this First Nation's own government agencies use diacritics, such as [25]. (There are two tribal councils, one of which does not have a populated website.) In addition to aligning it with the actual peoples' usage, restoring the diacritics also will align this article with its own text.

- List of schools in Venezuela: nominated at AfD; notified Kappa (talk · contribs) 07:29, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Reason: This list is so vastly incomplete and weighted toward one or two states that it serves no encyclopedic purpose. Its eswiki equivalent, es:Anexo:Colegios en Venezuela, has just one mainspace link.Note that the term "colegio" in Spanish has the specific meaning, often, of a private school—if this were to be a desirable list to keep, it should be "List of private schools in Venezuela". However, even that scope is unbearably large for a list.

Unfortunately, the LSU installation does not appear to be generally notable or even known by the name "Open Jet". (The FIU one, on the other hand, picked up media coverage.)

- Reason: Converting from a CfDS for the parent cat made by IP user User:8.29.49.5. The university style guide is unambiguous:
The phrase University of Wisconsin-La Crosse should have a hyphen (with no space preceding or following it) between the words Wisconsin and La Crosse.
It also notes that an endash is incorrect. In 2018, a move along these lines was proposed and immediately rejected by User:Corkythehornetfan with the comment, "We don't go by how the university wants stylized." The same user reverted a change to the lead sentence this week.In Talk:Heriot-Watt University#Requested move 8 May 2022, a request to change a hyphen TO endash was disapproved because official style used a hyphen.I'm unsure how I feel about this—I lean support—but I am certain that the way forward on this one is to bring it to RM and get consensus.Mostly bringing to RM Hat tip to IP User:8.29.49.5 for bringing this up at CFDS.

- Stephan Marks: nominated at RfD; Target: The Marks Group (notified) 08:04, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This page title was the title for the page now at The Marks Group and had been since it was created in 2008. Just one problem: his name was Stephen (A.) Marks, with no A in his first name, and only now has this been recognized as a problem. As Marks died last year, I opted to move the page to the corporate title (and am working on it right now). I also repointed all links to remove the misspelling of "Stephan" from namespace. This should be retargeted to Stephen Marks (we have two articles with that base title) as an {{R from incorrect spelling}}.
- K25NG-D: nominated at AfD; notified Scoty6776 (talk · contribs) 02:18, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: There are many low-power TV stations in the United States that are little more than channels for rent with lower-tier national digital multicast services. This is a great example of such. Many of these lack any history or coverage, let alone significant coverage to meet the GNG. They should be redirects either to a list of stations owned by the company or a list of stations in a given state. We have a lot of articles on stations of this type (especially LPTVs established in the last 10 years), so the eventual redirect carnage can and likely will pile up. Their programming can be verified to RabbitEars, so a listing in a state or company article can at least have a reference, but a standalone article is not justified under any circumstances.

- Category:New Zealand Historic Places Trust Category I listings: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:New Zealand Historic Places Trust Category 1 listings 07:55, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: In doing a GA review of Evans Bay Patent Slip, it came to my attention that Heritage New Zealand now uses Arabic numerals instead of Roman numerals for its categories. This is not my topic area, so I am unfamiliar with the recency of change, but I do believe a rename discussion is warranted. This same change will need to apply to New Zealand Historic Places Trust Category I listings by region and all of its subcategories as well as Category:New Zealand Historic Places Trust Category II listings (Category 2), Category:New Zealand Historic Places Trust Category II listings by region and all of its subcategories. - Reason: This AfD contains 140 articles. The lead article has been selected in alphanumeric order. <Excised due to collapse reasons> Innovate Corp., also known as HC2 Holdings, is a major owner of low-power TV stations in the United States. Its stations primarily broadcast lower-tier national digital multicast television networks, infomercials, and in some larger markets channels leased to independent programmers. However, many of the individual low-power stations lack notability. K25NG-D was deleted and turned into a redirect to a new list, List of stations owned by Innovate Corp., and Nathan Obral and I propose the same fate for 140 more individual low-power TV stations across the United States (35 states and Puerto Rico). Many HC2 stations were built in the last 12 years and have never had any local presence or programming sufficient to meet the WP:GNG. Others were around since the 1980s, 1990s, and/or 2000s, but with non-notable histories such as rebroadcasting national religious programming or with no mentions in the local press. We scouted the entire list of current and former HC2 stations with articles and determined that 141 (including K25NG-D) were not notable, 21 might be notable (requiring further research and/or article remediation), and 15 returned sufficient coverage in reliable sources to pass the GNG.List articles are sufficient to hold the subchannel information, which merits being displayed in a company or by-state list. These are valid redirect targets.

- Reason: Fails WP:GNG. Sources seem to be mostly interviews, blogs, or glancing mentions. According to her personal website, she joined the State Department after the material covered here, but I'm not sure if this helps with notability either:
I joined the Department of State in 2011. I am a Public Diplomacy Coned Officer who served in Brazil, Belize, Cuba, Jordan and Tel Aviv. I currently work in Islamabad, Pakistan, managing the largest alumni portfolio in the world. I will join US Embassy Warsaw as the Cultural Attache in 2022, after a year of Polish language training. I speak Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew and Arabic.
Note: Emmy awards mentioned here are regional, not national, and do not confer notability. This is typical in broadcast journalism.

- Prepaid Payment Instruments in India: nominated at AfD; notified Brar7 (talk · contribs) 02:48, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: A series of dictionary definitions with an honest-to-goodness directory list. I don't even know where to start or why this page exists or if this is a notable concept or a neologism (it may not be if it is in Indian law). I would want to see SIGCOV of the concept as well.
- List of National Cadet Special Activities: nominated at AfD; notified Mjf3719 (talk · contribs) 17:26, 21 April 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: We have a main article at National Cadet Special Activities, but we also have this quite outdated list of activities from 2008. Selectively merge any useful links to the main article and delete this list which provides too much detail.
- Talk:Major League Cricket (defunct): nominated at RM 20:23, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: A better disambiguator must exist than (defunct), but I am not sure what would be right because this is not my topic area and the article is a bit oddly structured. Major League Cricket (2005)? See Talk:KCTY (Kansas City) and Talk:Meta (augmented reality company).
May 2023
[edit]- Independent station (North America): nominated at RM; New name: Independent station 04:31, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This article has 14 times the incoming links (5,546 vs. 382), nine times the 30-day pageviews (3,192 vs. 352), and 3.8 times the since-2015 pageviews (273,657 vs. 71,474) of Independent station. It is time to move it there and have it be the surviving page of the "merger", though it needs work.It is going to be a television-focused article, though of course independent stations also existed and were more salient in radio when radio networks mattered. It is going to be a North America-centric article (though there will be a Japan section), because it is in especially the US and Canada where independents were a specific class of station that once had their own national trade association. However, the obvious primary topic existing at a parenthetical is counterintuitive. It's time to fix this. This should be implemented as a page swap and subsequent redirect so that this page's history lives at the undisambiguated title.
- Talk:Bigg Boss (Hindi TV series): nominated at RM 18:05, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Just reverted an undiscussed move from March to Big Boss (Salman Khan’s TV Series) (note the missing second G). The user who made the move said, "It was also English". I don't have a lot of Indian TV knowledge, but I wanted to at least open an RM so more knowledgeable people can figure out if this is the right disambiguator or not.
July 2023
[edit]- WNPT (TV): nominated at RM; New name: WNPT 07:25, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The television station (574 pageviews last 30 days) is the only current station with this call sign and a clear primary topic over the radio station, now WFMA (FM), with 59 pageviews last 30 days. A hatnote can easily handle any users seeking the former WNPT-FM.
- Talk:States Election Commission (India): nominated at RM; New name: State election commission (India) 23:31, 12 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The current title and capitalization makes it seem to an unknowledgeable reader that the article describes a specific organization, the States Election Commission, rather than a type of organization of which there are a few dozen. While there is no article at State election commission, we do have some similarly named agencies. Would also accept State election commissions in India.
- Category:Radio stations in Central African Republic: nominated at CfDS (C2A); New name: Category:Radio stations in the Central African Republic 01:50, 21 July 2023 (UTC)

August 2023
[edit]- WCFW (FM): nominated at RM; New name: WCFW 03:11, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This station was WCFW for all but one of the last 55 years and recently had the call sign returned to it. If people are looking for the other station (now WEZY (FM)), the hatnote can easily lead them there.
- Template:ATSC 3.0 stations: nominated at TfD; notified Mvcg66b3r (talk · contribs) 06:58, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: I would not normally move to TFD a template so soon after its creation, but I feel like this one is ill-advised, and had I been consulted I would not have recommended this go forward. Further, its deletion would not be a great loss for navigability. We have a list, List of ATSC 3.0 television stations in the United States, and Category:ATSC 3.0 television stations. The 110 entries are loosely related, scattered all over the United States. WP:CLN suggests that while a category or list may be appropriate for this grouping, a navbox probably is not due to its sheer size.
- TikTok food trends: nominated at RM; New name: FoodTok 06:13, 26 August 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: This article was created two and a half years ago as part of a wildcat (non-WikiEd) student program at Northeastern University. It was rescued at AfD. At that time, the name FoodTok was not in the most widespread use, particularly in RS. This article's proseline structure has lent itself to being a mess and a collection of short-lived trends that has only grown as time has gone on. Add in three WikiEd classes in 12 months. Refocusing the article on the FoodTok community, with mention of some of the most notable food trends that actually made it to reliable sources (and things like Pink Sauce, which shockingly is nowhere to be seen here), would provide badly needed focus and structure. We already have BookTok, which could serve as inspiration.

[edit]- Classic Rewind: nominated at AfD 02:12, 15 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Total WP:GNG failure that should be redirected to List of Sirius XM Radio channels like a myriad of other SXM channels have been. However, there have been multiple reverts of bold redirections in the last several years, and at some point an AfD discussion is necessary to have a consensus that can keep this. Pinging the users who have made the reverts this year, PrincessJoey2024 and SouthParkFan65, as well as Tdl1060 who restored the redirect in February 2023.

- Aflacts: nominated at AfD; notified Chuckreece (talk · contribs) 06:29, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Aflacts was an advertising slogan/campaign used by American insurer Aflac. This page mostly consists of details of the campaign in press release fashion, and it does not seem to have received sustained coverage. The one or two usable citations could certainly find their way into the main Aflac article. Deprodded in 2009 with citation improvements that are insufficient to carry the article today. 🦆

- Star 101.9: nominated at RfD; Target: KUCD (notified); notified Maleko (talk · contribs) 07:50, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The radio station known as Star 101.9 in the US to which this redirect is targeted was engaged in a format/frequency swap earlier this year. Star 101.9 (Mackay) should be here instead as the station using this name currently. A hatnote could handle any continued searches for KUCD.
- Star 101.9 (Mackay): nominated at RM; New name: Star 101.9 17:21, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: Star 101.9 redirects to KUCD, which no longer goes by that name. It would be more appropriate to have the actual current radio station using that name here. A hatnote can handle any continued searching for KUCD at that title.
- Template:History of Canadian Broadcasting: nominated at TfD; notified Nihlus (talk · contribs) 19:52, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Reason: The CCF profiles are now at broadcasting-history.ca, not .com. Further, the URLs are no longer dependent on just a call sign and contain other information in them, e.g. https://broadcasting-history.ca/television/television-stations/alberta/ckal-dt/ and https://broadcasting-history.ca/radio/radio-stations/ontario/ontario-south-western/ckot-am/ . 170 uses, all of which must be individually swapped out.

- Willa Sandmeyer: nominated at AfD; notified Kewf1988 (talk · contribs) 06:27, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

May 2024
[edit]- KAAL (TV): nominated at RM; New name: KAAL 18:14, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: The proposed title already redirects here and is the only topic associated with the term to be primarily capitalized. People are not likely to type "KAAL" looking for "Kaal". Moved in 2019 without discussion by Mvcg66b3r. See also Talk:WNPT#Requested move 8 July 2023.
- Miller Trunk Corridor: nominated at AfD; notified Jakes18 (talk · contribs) 21:36, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: This retail corridor in Duluth, Minnesota, certainly exists. However, most coverage of the area is about traffic on the state highway, not the built-up commercial area, a collection of strip malls plus one enclosed shopping center. This is a bunch of original research and a long listing of stores, neither of which justify an article. Some of the stores listed at the time of this AfD are no longer extant (Gander Mountain! Pier 1 Imports!).
- Public sector undertakings: nominated at RM; New name: Public sector undertakings of India 00:42, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
- Reason: The term is not technically specific to India (which certainly seems to be the main user of it), but this article is. State-owned enterprise is the article on the topic and states,
These state owned enterprises are also known as public sector undertakings in some countries.
(India is definitely one of them.) Moved from the title of Public sector undertakings in India by User:The Doom Patrol in October 2023. I don't think this is the natural disambiguation case that editor thought it was. The proposed "of" matches the eight pages on SOEs by country, such as State-owned enterprises of China.
