WikiProject India Tag & Assess 2012 Contest
Hello friends, we are a number of editors from WikiProject India have got together to assess the many thousands of articles under the stewardship of the project, and we'd love to have you, a fellow member, join us. These articles require assessment, that is, the addition of a WikiProject template to the talk page of an article, assessing it for quality and importance and adding a few extra parameters to it.
As of March 11, 2012, 07:00 UTC, WikiProject India has 95,998 articles under its stewardship. Of these 13,980 articles are completely unassessed (both for class and importance) and another 42,415 articles are unassessed for importance only. Accordingly, a Tag & Assess 2012 drive-cum-contest has begun from March 01, 2012 to last till May 31, 2012.
If you are new to assessment, you can learn the minimum about how to evaluate from Part One of the Assessment Guide. Part Two of the Guide will help you learn to employ the full functionality of the talk page template, should you choose to do so.
You can sign up on the Tag & Assess page. There are a number of awards to be given in recognition of your efforts. Come & join us to take part in this exciting new venture. You'll learn more about India in this way.

Disambiguation link notification for April 5
Hi. When you recently edited Ramachandra Babu, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Black & White and Loyola College (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Patibha Patil
Hi. I did see your in use tag, but, WP:BLP is very strict. All negative or contentious information about living people must be sourced, and that means that it can't even stay temporarily while you're looking for references. You'll need to draft it offline and add it whole with references. But as a corollary, we also do not just report every allegation that is printed in a newspaper somewhere. In order for a negative claim like that to belong in WP, it either needs to be widely reported over a period of time, or be fully verified (like, not just an allegation, but a conviction or other highly conclusive decision). As some people put it, we're not a newspaper, and we're certainly not a gossip rag, printing every allegation we can find. It's possible that some allegations against Patil may reach the level to belong in the article, but I doubt it given their nature and how recent some of them are. It's probably best to raise the issue on talk first. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:43, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've removed the stuff again. They were also removed some weeks ago. This stuff is the usual politically-driven rough-and-tumble commonly found in India, and probably elsewhere. They are mere allegations and we are not a rolling-news service etc. If ever the allegations result in some form of censure by a court or similar authority then perhaps they will be notable ... and given the notorious slowness of the judicial system, I am not holding my breath, sorry. - Sitush (talk) 20:56, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
Lalettan listed at Redirects for discussion
An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Lalettan. Since you had some involvement with the Lalettan redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so).

Edit summaries
Hi Anoopkn. I see you do plenty of work on WP - bravo.
Just one thing, though - you seem to seldom use Edit summaries (ESs). But, you know, they are very helpful to other users, and are recommended by WP (please see wp:ES). Thanks, Trafford09 (talk) 08:08, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
