You sure?

I was thinking about asking you if you want an WP:RFA as a long-standing editor who is excellent in sports topivs. But then I notice that you don't want to be admin userbox on your talk page. If you ever change your mind, just let me know and I will be proud to nominate you. Thanks Jaranda wat's sup 06:41, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, it's a first for me to have someone suggest RFA. It's very flattering. However, I do not think I possess the correct personality traits to be an admin! Looking forward to more collaborations on sports articles in future. Chensiyuan 07:01, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Thierry Henry

Those two edits I made was not in bad faith. I made this edit because I read Henry was traded but then I reverted my own edit because I read my information was already on there but just accidently didn't erase the word "on". That edit was a test nor a vandalism or done in bad faith. Brave warrior 02:39, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I've addressed most of the issues you raised but I'm still not happy with the Style of play or Off the pitch sections. But really can't think or find anything more to add. Buc 11:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

The former

I really do not know what "the former" means. Can you please explain to me what it means on my talk page so I can stop worrying. Thank you. Brave warrior 11:51, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Wilt Chamberlain never fouled out of an NBA game; you can go to the NBA Registry and verify it. This note was eliminated.

You may wish to speak to user:Onomatopoeia regarding this. Chensiyuan 07:04, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi there!

Just noticed your edits of the MOS. We need more reviewers in the WP:FAC and WP:FAR rooms to stop the promotion of articles with substandard writing. It's a virtual tumult at the moment, and there are never enough copy-edit-type reviewers to "crack the whip". So you'd be welcome there if you had time to drop in. Tony 10:49, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi there, sure thing. Chensiyuan 10:50, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Tim Duncan

Hi there, I just skimmed through the TD article and found following points to address before making this a FAC:

  • The plantar fasciitis thingie of 2006 is unsourced (but well known)
  • The foot injury which hampered him in 2005 NBA Finals is unsourced (he irocinally picked it up against the Pistons in the regular season, IIRC)
  • Certain individual games have to be sourced, like his almost-quadruple double in the 2003 NBA Finals, the Game 7 loss in the 2006 WCF Semifinal series, his struggles in the Olympics ezc. (TonyTheTiger is a zealot on this)

But mostly, the article is pretty FAC-worthy. —Onomatopoeia 19:11, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Never mind that foot thingie, nobody really needs it. I think just a small copyedit, and then we wait for the peer review (at least for the bot), and then we jump into FAC action. —Onomatopoeia 14:16, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi there Chensiyuan, VASCO speaking,

GA on Hold - Manu Ginóbili

I have put Manu Ginóbili on hold for further review. If you can make the suggested changes within a week I will promote it.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 15:26, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words, but my coaching was a small part of the success, which is mostly due to your ability as an editor and in part due to Ginobili's interesting life.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 14:55, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

James Milner

I saw your comment on the PR. Thank you for the praise. Personally I don't think it's quite there yet and with the start of a new season and the rumors of him playing for England next week I'm going to wait anyway. But are you suggesting it is ready to be a GAC or even a FAC? Buc 05:57, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Just letting you know that once tonights under 21 match has been played and I've updated the aricle accordingly, I'm going to nominate it for GA status. Buc 12:14, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Tim Duncan, FAC

Hi there, thx for your words an Manu, and I want to say that TD is now a FAC. Actually I tried to wait for the peer review, but as the backlog on the peer review page is HUGE atm, I rather went ahead now. —Onomatopoeia 13:18, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Other interests is not a must at all. BTW, if concerning the article, just be bold, I don't own the article at all. —Onomatopoeia 06:49, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Basketball GA drive

As Director of WP:CHICAGO, I would be very interested in improving any player who was a multiple time All-star who spent the majority of his All-Star years with the Chicago Bulls. If you find any such players whose articles are WP:DYK eligible (less than 1500 characters) these articles are the type that truly could use the help of WP:CHICOTW. Let me know if you are familiar with any such articles. I guess the same would be true of women's basketball players for teams such as the Chicago Sky or Chicago Condors. --TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 13:48, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

I just dropped lines on the talk page and on Wikipedia:Editor review/OhanaUnited, and i find it completely ludicrous as well. Portobello Road Market

Hi, I thought the image you removed (closeup of a stall) was appropriate for the article. From the existing images, one can't really see what an example of a stall is like. Would appreciate if you could reply at my talkpage, thanks. Chensiyuan 01:14, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

There is no firm guidance on the use of images in Wiki - there are bits of advice here and there, such as Wikipedia:Guide_to_layout#Images, but one the whole it does come down to common sense. The article is Portobello Road, with a section on Portobello Market. The section on the market only has enough space for one image - of the two available I selected the general view as it gave a decent picture of the market in situ, and had some sense that a person could identify it as Portobello. The other image was a close of a stall and had no unique features - that could be any market stall. Placing another image of the market in the article would be inappropriate - there are other images of Portobello that could be used - a fair use image of Portobello Farm would be interesting, or a map from 1841, a picture of the Electric Cinema, a book shop - that sort of thing. That was my thinking. Regards SilkTork *** SilkyTalk 07:36, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

How are my edits vandalism? You are being unreasonable. Did I blank out the page and replace it with a few letters. All I did was saying that Vince Carter is the best raptor. Is there anything unreasonable about that? VC15 CB4 Raptors 01:10, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I got halfway through Toronto Raptors before my eyes started shutting and I couldn't trust my ability to speak English anymore. I'm going to be pretty busy for the next week or so, but I'll definitely come back and finish it off, and look at Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan bio, new guns :)

Hi there Chensiyuan, I am happy to say that I just got hold of a copy of Slam Duncan by Kevin Kiernan, a Tim Duncan bio which perfectly meets WP:RS. I'll add info to the TD article as I read through this book. —Onomatopoeia 15:32, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

I know you are not a Mavs fan but...

Hey congrats on getting Tim Duncan to FA, I was wondering if you might be interested in helping me raise José Juan Barea to GA, the article was nominated and failed mostly because it has prose issues and the image has a dubious source, I have referenced everything relevant in it but my prose cleaning skills aren't always the best, interested? - Caribbean~H.Q. 08:21, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! do you know a Mavs fan that might have a free image of him? - Caribbean~H.Q. 20:05, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Thierry Henry

You mention on your user page that you have plans to make this a FA. Now that Tim Duncan has passed are you going to start working on that now because I'd be happy to help. Buc 11:14, 31 August 2007 (UTC)# PR added. Buc 17:17, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

I did a copyedit of this - put a few comments on the talk page. My main concern for you at FAC is that lots of the references are broken links or redirects - more notes on talk page. Cricketgirl 15:04, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Sorry to cause you all that extra work! But I'm glad you managed to sort it all out ok. Good luck at FAC! Cricketgirl 12:29, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

James Milner

Just letting you know they article is currently having a PR. This is quite important to me as I plan to make it a FAC once it is over. Buc 18:08, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Left a not on the Copy edit request page. If you have feedback on the article please give in the PR. Buc 11:40, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Ok I've addressed to most of the pionts raised. And I've replied to all the rest. Buc 12:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Regarding the "off the pitch" section, what do you want me to do? Remove it or add to it? Because I think it's important to be there to give you idea of his personality but I really can't find anything to help me write it. Buc 15:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Would that effect it's chances if I were to make it a FAC. Buc 15:39, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Ok I'll but I'll ask other users for there views before doing deleting it. Anything eles you want to suggest because the PR has pretty much been run dry. Buc 15:52, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

I see, thanks for all the work you did, sorry it took so long to reply for some reason I received a lot of messages in the past three days and it kind of went unnoticed. - Caribbean~H.Q. 07:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Joey Barton

Hello. I'm trying to get the Joey Barton article to FA standard and I feel it must be quite close to being good enough for candidacy. However some of the prose probably still needs some work, so I was wondering if you knew of any good copyeditors I could ask to work on it. If you could make any other suggestions for improvements to the article yourself that would also be very helpful. Thanks in advance. Sir-Nobby 19:10, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure you've not mentioned it because otherwises I would have done something about it by now. Buc 18:33, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Milner FAC

Being dyslexic I guess I'm not the best person to judge articles when it comes to them being well written. But I did try to model it on cureent FA. I'll ask a copyedit user to take a look at it (if you know of a good one please tell me). Regarding your specific piont about "he stated" ect. You'll have to give me an example of what would work for you. Clearly you can see something I can't because I've proof read it many times as well as compering it to current FA. How about if I put them all in quotes and put "he said" instead? Buc 18:19, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Ok, how is it now? Buc 10:03, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

I'd prefer you told me about these problems on the FAC page. Buc 08:13, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Are you any good at copyediting? Buc 15:44, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

I'd recommend a fresh pair of eyes for the Milner article. You could wait till Tony's free, since he's supposed to be as good as it gets. Chensiyuan 03:42, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Thierry Henry

No problem whatsoever - it makes a welcome change to my usual contributions! I'm just giving it another read through now. I've added another comment to the FAC page that I've noticed there's a mix of Arsenal was and Arsenal were. It needs reverting to one or the other. Peanut4 00:50, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Appearances in UEFA competitions

Why did You delete info about Henry as Arsenal`s top scorer in european competitions ? Shannon7 18:52, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

The "information" had grammar errors, formatting errors and the ref provided did not really back the claim. Chensiyuan 00:44, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Thierry Henry

To be honest, I've not been here long and I spotted Henry on the FAC list so thought would check it out to see a - what I could do b - tips on what to do on other stuff I write.

I'll have another look at the further points raised and look thru the article to see what could be done and let you know, but not sure there's much else I can do. Peanut4 20:43, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

I've addressed a few of the points, and added my responses to the FAC talk page. There's a few more still left but I do think one or two are trivial. Peanut4 01:39, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Need your help

i saw that you made a recent edit to the Dallas Mavericks game log for 2007-08, a very minor one on the 18th if you look at the history of the page. yet the results for games played on the 20th and 21st have been put up but this doesn't appear on the history of the page. How is this so? Did the page automatically appear or can you edit a page and have it deleted from the history section. I dont quite get it. Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 09:39, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

They would appear on the history of the template page not the 0708 page. Chensiyuan (talk) 09:45, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Ah yes, thanks for that and the quick reply. Just one more thing, how can you get to that template page without having to do an edit and therefore it comes up. I found out the url of the template after i edited another teams page but isn't there an easier way?Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 09:59, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Unfortunately, i do not know of an easier way. Perhaps keeping it on your watchlist might help. Chensiyuan (talk) 13:27, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

I just want to say thanks for replying. i think the easiest way to go directly to the log and see the history of it and other templates is just to click edit in regard to that section and then delete the following in the url: &action=edit&section=3. that will then take you directly to the template. im surprised though that there isn't say a link on the 07-08 page that when you click on game log it take you directly to the template. anyway, thanks again Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 02:48, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Mass Effect ban

Hi! Though the ban had been mentioned by The Straits Times and also Gamespot ... I had felt that since the it had been overturned prior to the game release that the notability of the "controversy" itself had diminished greatly - it sort of seemed like the controversy that almost happened, but cooler heads prevailed. That is entirely my POV and I could be totally mistaken with regards to that controversy's importance to the article. Please revert if you think the information should remain. thank you! --guyzero | talk 11:45, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Reverts on Toronto Raptors

Hey, wanted to ask you about these two reverts that you made on the Raptors article. I don't really see anything wrong with them, so why change them back? Just looking for a bit of explanation, since I can't make heads or tails of your edit summaries. What does "unn ws" mean, anyway? GlassCobra 02:22, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

The first one was an unnecessary paragraph break. The second did not make the sentence any better. So both were superfluous edits; the version reverted to had been combed over by at least two copyeditors (of which I am not). Chensiyuan (talk) 02:25, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
I understand. As a matter of personal courtesy, would you mind being a little clearer with your edit summaries? It's a little tough to wade through all the shorthand. Thanks. GlassCobra 02:35, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Of course. Although I have to say, after almost 30,000 edits, you're the first to raise this point with me. I think in the articles that I edit frequently, editors have identified me as credible and don't check on my edits all that much. I suppose you could develop your own system of sifting out the immediately suspicious edits... otherwise it's a lot of work. The edit summary has its usefulness, but the edit summary could purport to be truthful but beneath it is actually a vandalism edit (seen lots of that). So one actually has to click on the diff to see if it is a proper edit. In the final analysis, the edit summary is only useful for articles which are heavily edited. I'm not justifying my lack of an edit summary, just explaining my analysis. Cheers. Chensiyuan (talk) 02:36, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm definitely not trying to call your credibility into question in any way, and I apologize if my comment came across as such. As I said, it's merely a point of personal preference, when even after I look at the diffs, I still could not tell what the edit summary was supposed to mean. No offense intended. GlassCobra 02:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
No offence taken! Chensiyuan (talk) 02:56, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Great Job!

Although a little late, great job on getting Tim Duncan featured! Cheers, Basketball110 22:58, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Your copyedit request

On August 3, 2007, you made a request to the League of Copyeditors for a copyedit on Chris Bosh. Due to a heavy backlog and a shortage of copyeditors, we have been unable to act on your request in a timely manner, for which we aplogize. Since your request, this article has been subject to significant editing, and may no longer be a good candidate for copyediting by the League. If you still wish the League to copyedit this article, please review this article against our new criteria and follow the instructions on the Requests page. This will include your request in our new system, where it should receive more prompt attention. SlackerMom (talk) 18:09, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for giving it your usual extensive copyedit, and I promise I will respect WP:DASH in the future for score lines. ;) —Onomatopoeia (talk) 11:11, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

No worries. I just thought Game 7 looked strange. But if that's how it's used in wider media, then I suppose it's the right format to put it in. Peanut4 (talk) 23:25, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Could you please go through and properly format all the references that were added to the lead. Also, some of the other references in the article are broken and/or formatted incorrectly. I notice you seem to know how to do all that, it looks pretty crappy right know. Thanks. Marcus Taylor (talk) 23:52, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Heya! I'm back from the Philippines and am just catching up. I'm sorry about the frustration. I'll try some cleanup. Hopefully the internet-meme-ness of the event is now over and folks'll want a more encyclopedic article. regards, --guyzero | talk 06:56, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Heya! Thanks, it was my first time to be there and I had a blast. Was thinkin' of letting the recent edits sit for a few more days in case there are any objects that can be RS'd and then start doing some final copyediting of the controversy section and the rest of the article as a step towards peer review. I'll holler when I start in case you want to help or help review my edits. P.S. Shaq in Phoenix!?! regards, --guyzero | talk 22:52, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Move roster templates

Hello Chensiyuan, as a NBA WikiProject member, I am interested in your opinion on moving the roster templates. My proposal is located here. Thanks, Crzycheetah 02:41, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi Chensiyuan! I suspect that this user (Colleenthegreat) is in fact a disruptive user, verging on vandalism. When you have time, please take a look at her contributions - she hasn't been around long, so look at her last 500 contributions. You will see that virtually all edits she has made to articles were just silly comments which were in most cases immediately reverted. Many of her edits are also on user talk pages - and many are vandalism warnings ... but look closer. Her vandalism warnings to anonymous users is itself silly - we all know thousands of non-registered users screw around with pages every day. Many even self-revert! Most are caught quickly ... but I know of no seasoned admin who then leaves a vandalism warning. Why? An anonymous user only has an IP address and for all we know, two hours later or the next day a different person may make good edits from the same address. Or this non-registered vandal is doing this once and will never come back. In the examples I see of Colleenthegreat's "warnings," the only effect she had was to create a talk page for an IP address, in many cases an IP addressed used only once. When I saw her edits to the talk:Jesus page, I thought she was just a total newbie who did not know our policies; then I saw her disregard Andrew c's point about her policies ... and finally I looked at her contributions. I think her account exists only to make disruptive edits. Could you go over her contributions and provide another opinion? Thanks, Slrubenstein | Talk 11:55, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

TyrusThomas4lyf sock-puppet (blocked)

As you may know, Give me more information (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) was blocked for being a sock-puppet of TyrusThomas4lyf (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log). For whatever reason, some of the admins I notified took no action. So, kudos to the one who did. Feel free to drop him a thank you. — Myasuda (talk) 14:04, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

As you may know,
and perhaps Yourbestfriendsfriend (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) are likely TyrusThomas4lyf (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) sock-puppets. Would you be interested in requesting an admin block? Ordinarily, I enjoy this policing task, but I'm a bit busy at the moment. Thanks. — Myasuda (talk) 02:49, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

From our pov it's quite obvious it's him, but I don't mind waiting for more incriminating edits to crop up before making a case. I think his new strategy now is to only go for the jugular edit after some time. Chensiyuan (talk) 11:53, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

You're right. We'll be able to get a better admin response if there's more edit warring and other abuse involved. — Myasuda (talk) 04:21, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

A compromise for the Raptors & Spurs userbox templates

1. I know the photos are not fair use. However, in keeping with the pattern of having the abbreviation in the left of the userboxes, I reverted them to be like the rest of the userboxes. 2. For those who prefer the photos, I have created separate userboxes for the photo-based template: {{User: Chensiyuan/Userboxes/Raptors}} and {{User: Chensiyuan/Userboxes/Spurs}}. Does that sound like a good compromise to you? Tom Danson (talk) 05:27, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough heh. Thanks. Chensiyuan (talk) 06:03, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Dirk Nowitzki

Hello Chensiyuan, As we are approaching the end of the NBA regular season, do you think it is worthwhile to put the player stats that are available on each teams template? Just wondering thats all, if you could do one team and i can see the format etc. you put it in and then i will eventually do the rest. Its your choice, maybe this should be a discussion on the NBA project page. Thanks keep it up Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 08:38, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, it sounds plausible, and I won't mind chipping in a little. But feel free to make the prototype though. I'm not good at templates at all. Chensiyuan (talk) 13:59, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
There is a user Gpasqualicchio who did the Cavs player stats for last season which you can see here: click The user has added 6 more stat categories to the current template and im hinting at doing it like this, all we have to do is copy and paste it. Soxrock is on an indefinite wikibreak who created the original templates so its up to you. Happy Wikipeding! Roadrunnerz45 (talk) 02:10, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes I think that's a viable template :) Chensiyuan (talk) 02:12, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Dirk Nowitzki

Hi there. I notice User:Onomatopoeia hasn't made any contributions for more than a week. I've still got Dirk Nowitzki on hold at GA. There are a few outstanding issues at this moment on the talk page. It's probably good enough for a pass already, but I reckon the article is pretty close to a stab at FAC, so was keeping it on hold until everything was resolved, and seeing how far the GAN could take it.

I don't know if you want to try and fix the remaining issues, or have any other suggestions where to head. Peanut4 (talk) 12:12, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Raptors records

Yeah, I'm pulling up a few more now, hopefully we can fill in those sections filled with question marks. I was also thinking that we should use this as a guideline for adding records and stats. Blackjays1 (talk) 14:54, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

I noticed a couple of your edit summaries of "r" and am befuddled. What does it mean? DoubleBlue (Talk) 21:12, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Commonly used. Revert. An alternative to "rvv" when it isn't clear if the bad edit was an act of vandalism, sloppy editing, or dubious claim. Chensiyuan (talk) 23:22, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Collaboration of the Month

Magic Johnson has been chosen to be our very first Collaboration of the Month article. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. The goal is to improve this article by the end of May so that it can be nominated for Featured Article status. In particular, free-use images should be found for the article, all Manual of Style guidelines should be followed, and a neutral point of view should be maintained throughout the article. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.

Recent Vandalism?

I did not vandalise the page. This is not my own website or some commercial website. So your comments are invalid. How do the recent additions of links constitute vandalism? They are relevant to the subject at hand.

Can you give justification as to why they are vandalism? If you want we can discuss this like adults via email. —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 22:09, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I have, long ago, at the talk -- should read n t. Bot of page next time pls. Chensiyuan (talk) 23:04, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

I have received a message off yourself claiming that I have recently vandalised a Wikipedia web page which I did not do. I have not edited a page on Wikipedia for quite a while and would appreciate any help in determining who may have access to my account/IP Address beyond my PC, seeing as it was not myself. (talk) 15:12, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, presumably a bunch of people share the same IP address as you do. Why not sign up for an account? Chensiyuan (talk) 21:20, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Adding Soxrock to Missing Wikipedians

I think it is only right, he is on an indefinite wikibreak and who knows when or even if he'll come back. Hopefully he will but i think its right that hes added to the list, a user who has made nearly 52K edits and been here since Feb. of 06 deserves to be on the list. Just thought i'd like to let you know. Thanks Roadrunnerz45 (talk 2 me) 14:39, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Magic Johnson

If I can fix something myself, I'll usually try to fix it. But I think some things will require more discussion.

I've only gone through about half of the article so far, so I'll probably have some more comments at the FAC. Stay tuned. Zagalejo^^^ 18:44, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

Bill Russell FAR

I wanted to let you know that I intend to take the Bill Russell article to WP:Featured article review. This is something I've been planning to do for a while. I'll list my rationale at the FAR page shortly, and send you a message when that discussion is live.

Thanks, Zagalejo^^^ 05:49, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

FAR is live

Bill Russell has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. Zagalejo^^^ 06:44, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Trail Blazers

Sorry. Yes, I'd seen your comment but hadn't replied at all. Do you think you could amend the couple of outstanding points? Basically at the moment it's nearly a pass, but I'd fail it, because the lead doesn't sum up the article, and there are a couple of points which are essentially jargon and not really understandable to non-basketball fans. It would be a shame to fail it, which is why I've kept it on hold for 10+ days now, and tried to get other help, because it's nearly a pass, and other than those points, a very good pass. Peanut4 (talk) 23:37, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Not to worry at all. The article is close to GA in my opinion. At least I know my review will help point out what needs doing. Peanut4 (talk) 17:53, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Cesc Fabregas

Hi, some members of Wikiproject:GA are conducting what are known as sweeps. In this project, all GAs promoted before 26 August 2007 (this version) are being checked to make sure they conform with the current criteria. This is because a significant number of GAs were promoted before the criteria were stabilised and these may now not qualify for GA and will need to be brought up to standard. Others have deteriorated over time. Fabregas qualified quite comfortably, but if it hadn't I would have left a message outlining the problems and giving a minimum period of seven days in which work should start on improving the article (more time avaliable on request). For more formal and potentially controversial reviews, articles are taken to WP:GAR for community assessment, but this is a form of quality control rather than a strict review process. Hope that answers your questions.--Jackyd101 (talk) 09:51, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

English vs. American spelling

Great editing! It needs to be done and it is so great to have people like you who will do it! One small thing - I noticed in one of your edits (I haven't looked at others) you changed "realises" to "realizes". "Realises" is the Canadian or English spelling of the word. Being that you edited a Candian book (Anne of the Island, I think), realises should have stayed.Lilygnat (talk) 17:07, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

Tim Duncan

Hi there, i was wondering whether you can help me put back the star denoting Tim Duncan is a featured article because it doesn't seem to appear on the page. The article is still featured and its got nothing to do with my browser so im surprised you haven't noticed its disappeared. I checked the history and it disappeared with this edit back in June but looking at the diff, i dont know see how that could have happened. Hopefully you can fix it up.
