Thanks for your edit to Kodak Black. Definitely an improvement. Are you able to find an alternative to the section title and references to "controversy", per WP:CRIT? I've been particularly careful to keep the article sounding neutral (no section entitled "feuds"!). Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 00:28, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the compliment haha. I'd imagine "controversy" doesn't violate WP:CRIT as it's commonly used on bigger pages such as Drake and even articles that are considered in the "good articles" class such as Nicki Minaj, Kanye West. I think it only violates WP:CRIT if the content within the section is considered to be bias which I have attempted to avoid on articles I generally edit. (One notable example being XXXTentacion where I mentioned numerous controversies that have occured though I offered an alternative viewpoint, such as an attack the artist made on an audience member, stating that the artist claimed it was in self-defense, not attempting to take sides.)WolvesS (talk) 01:11, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at XXXTentacion, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. You have added Kodak Black as an associated act, yet Kodak Black is mentioned nowhere in the article. Your edit summary "ARE YOU SERIOUSLY GOING TO MAKE ME PROVIDE A SOURCE THAT SAYS HES AN AMERICAN RAPPER ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME" was inappropriate. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:43, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It'd be desirable if you highlighted the Kodak Black entry instead of delete half the infobox. WolvesS (talk)

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to XXXTentacion. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. You added Denzel Curry and Rob Banks without a source. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:27, 13 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Magnolia677: I didn't originally add Denzel Curry OR Rob Banks, As you can see here Denzel Curry was originally added to the page when it was first created on January 31st by Sikooododsoj02 and Robb Banks was added here by 74.102.168.33 on 2nd February. I kept up what I thought was a common consenus through edits and added them back after vandalism which removed most of the infobox including Years Active, Instruments, Genres, etc. I'd love if you actually looked into this pages history instead of threatening me and taking away my rights to edit this page over such a small matter despite the fact that I've made most of the contributions to it. WolvesS (talk)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at XXXTentacion. You deleted sourced content with the edit summary: "The rapper himself came on instagram and said that the hanging wasn't meant to portray that. This is an encyclopedia, not your opinions." What you deleted was sourced here, and what you added was your personal opinion. Please stop your disruptive editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:27, 17 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Magnolia677: I'm gonna have to ask you to stop targeting me because I upset you before after I ousted you about the Kodak Black and Rob Banks thing, thanks my dude. I'll edit that and provide some sources to that horribly written segment about how the music video is somehow child abuse in his editing notes (not rly constructive.)

A Tip

[edit]

Yo thanks for helping and expanding articles on certain rappers it helps out the page a lot but I need to explain something that you need to know. When you create new sections for artists or pages like "Musical Style" or "Early Life" make sure to not capitalize the second word it's just unnecessary to do it. Thanks again for the help. Lil Pump (mixtape)

[edit]

Just letting you know because you quoted WP:NALBUMS, an album or a song charting does not automatically grant an article about that recording notability. WP:NALBUMS says "a recording may be notable if it meets at least one of these criteria" (emphasis added). I'm not saying this in relation to this specific article, but if an article has little more than chart peaks listed on it, it should not have an article and should probably be redirected or in some rare cases, deleted. You have disclosed Studio71 as a client.

Would you please dislose:

  • who your employer is (if you are working for or through any sort of agency) or if you are freelancing. If you are freelancing it would be great if you would disclose how you connected with Studio71 (that would fall under "affiliation")

Your draft article, Draft:Aurore Bergé

[edit]

Hello, WolvesS. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Aurore Bergé".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 14:01, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not3s moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Not3s, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page.  I dream of horses  If you reply here, please ping me by adding {{U|I dream of horses}} to your message  (talk to me) (My edits) @ 00:41, 31 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I dream of horses, the article is very barebones because I have found a lot of articles around the same way after creation, especially based on musicians. The article is notable due to WP:MUS #2 "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." and according to the source from the Official Albums Chart which is the official charts for the United Kingdom, this artist has charted four times in the UK. I request that my article be pulled from draft space.

I reverted this edit you made because your use of Visual Edit makes the article incredibly visually unappealing when editing the page. I have subsequently gone through the prose and agreed that it was the wrong tone, removing the artistry and controversies sections (the former of which was sourced to an unreliable website) and restored some changes you made, without the Visual Edit mess that accompanied it. However, you need to stop restoring your edits when being reverted per WP:BRD and WP:CONSENSUS. If you don't, your edits are disruptive and can be reported if you continue. Discuss disagreements at the talk page when you've made changes that are reverted in future. Thank you. Ss112 04:10, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the Complex article states: "His parents are from Punjab, which borders Pakistan in the northern region of India". That clearly dosn't mean Punjab, Pakistan, but rather Punjab, India. We wouldn't say "borders Pakistan in [...] India" if it were in Pakistan. Ss112 04:52, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I literally do not see the difference between a visual edit and a source edit. Enlighten me. WolvesS (talk) 15:57, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Compare your initial Visual Edit contribution with my initial revert. The spacing of everything with Visual Edit is messed up. The first line of text goes directly after the infobox; the spacing to make the alignment of information in the infobox is removed; Visual Edit moves scope="col" after rowspan="2" in wikitables when this should go first to define the properties in order; it undoes the space-saving horizontal list of peak positions to a vertical format; it adds unnecessary spaces to headings; it also removed the line breaks in the wikitable in your edit that were used to separate the references from being on the same line as the text and from "US" being on the same line as the type of US chart; it also removed a lot of other sensible spaces between formatting and alignment and titles or other input. It should be avoided where possible or if you are reasonably confident in editing without it. Ss112 16:30, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I literally see none of that, you must have really selective eyes or get really upset easily because you can clearly see the spacing on your initial revert is due to the amount of characters there are. Can you explain why my visual edit contribution looks the exact same after you edit it with source edit to fix the article? If you haven't fixed it, may you do it now to show me? Because I'm not seeing it. WolvesS (talk) 16:39, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's right there in the URLs I linked. They don't look different on certain screens or because of "selective eyes"—whatever those are. All the things I described are there. It does not look "the exact same"—Visual Edit removed the spacing in the infobox at the top. Look at the source in the first URL I provided—the spaces are removed on each line between "name" and so on and the equals sign, and the first line of the article starts directly after the curly bracket } on the same line, etc. The singles wikitable further down arranges each chart position on a separate line instead of all on one line horizontally separated by two bars. I can't show you in any different way other than I already have. What I am describing is shown in your version I linked to. Bottom line is, Visual Edit is not helpful to most editors who want to deal with pages without having extraneous formatting provided for them. For those to edit after Visual Edit users, it is just a burden and something to correct. Whether you can see it or not, other editors can (I've seen plenty note it in their summaries) and hence why plenty have opted out and/or do not use it at all. Creating articles

Please search the title you wish to create an article for before creating it. If it exists as a redirect, navigate to that redirect (by clicking on the small blue text at the top of the article you're redirected to, where it says "Redirected from Sad! (XXXTentacion song)) and create your content there. Please don't create article titles where the s in song is capitalised—as you created Sad! (XXXTentacion Song), and now that page will have to be moved because you didn't create it in the correct place. The correct title already existed as a redirect. Please note this in future. Thank you. Ss112 19:04, 3 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lil Tracy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Image of rapper Tay-K.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Image of rapper Tay-K.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Geraldo Perez (talk) 17:07, 17 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. Creating articles in the wrong place

[edit]

CoughingCookieHeart, I am quite confident you know by this point when creating articles not to have a capital s in "song" in the title. You've now made Lucid Dreams (Juice Wrld Song), whereas you should have created the article at the correctly capitalised title, Lucid Dreams (Juice Wrld song). I'm sure you know how to edit a redirect, as you've done it before. If you wish to "get your name first in the edit history" so badly, then create the page in your user space, at say User:CoughingCookieHeart/sandbox, and ask for it to be moved at WP:RM/TR. That's the proper way, not deliberately creating an article with a capital s in "song" in the title. You know at this point that isn't right. This looks like your refusal to do so because you want to be seen as the "creator" of the content, which is something a lot of users want. Deliberately creating articles in the wrong place is not a good look for any user and is underhanded conduct. I will bring this to an administrator's attention if you continue doing so, because I've already explained this to you. That article you made will now have to be moved to the correct place, which is perhaps what you intended to happen. Just stop doing this already. Create articles in the right place, or create them in your sandbox/userspace or at a draft and request they be moved like everybody else does. Ss112 06:07, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

😴😴😴 you care too much my dude please get a life, you're constantly rude to me and other users, wikipedia is a website, not a child you need to take care of.--CoughingCookieHeart (talk) 06:17, 8 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the memo on what Wikipedia is, mate. You've done this multiple times now. If there's any impoliteness on my part, I would think it's somewhat justified because of your apparent inability to grasp where to or disregard of the correct place to create articles. As for your rudeness—"get a life"—read WP:NPA. You seem to not be aware of it. Maybe don't complain users are rude then proceed to be rude yourself in the next sentence. XXXTentacion

[edit]

As a person who would never take it upon themselves to edit that article, I wanted to thank you for your contributions to it as well as note shared aggravation over having those edits questioned by people that would never attempt the same thing. It can become a headache trying to contribute to this site sometimes, especially when it seems that most of the stuff you write and don't have a problem with adding always come under fire by at least one or two people, but it shouldn't be enough to permanently discourage you from contributing. - Informant16 June 28, 2018

  • Thank you! I never thought I'd see this, I usually do get attacked by other people and recently I've been moving towards being rude back which was not at all the right move. (I took a small break from Wikipedia due to it. I'm gonna continue editing as I please now.) The edits I did to that page were a combination of a years long of work and I was very offended when they felt the need to "trim it" when its apparent the article will definitely suffer from losing things that were very talked about in his career like his public image. Thank you for your kind words.CoughingCookieHeart (talk) 07:43, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Regrettably, the one thing that most editors on here that revert seem able to do is pay little to no attention to the page that was edited by the person they disrupted the contributions of. So for example, those opposing what you added would likely be unable or unwilling to do it themselves but still feel whatever they have to say should be taken seriously. And responding back to them with hostility gets you in other forms of trouble, as some moderators seem to believe that we're not human and thereby become incensed with certain things. - Informant16 June 29, 2018

@Ss112:, considering your updates on other pages such as Amine I'm 100% sure you have seen the bubbling under this week which DOES place Slowing Dancing in the Dark by Joji at number two, though for some reason you reversed it. 🤔 There's literally zero mention of it on the Billboard website except on the Bubbling Under page which is paywall only. Billboard hasn't yet got an exclusive page for Joji and I'm sure you'd complain and your OCD would go wild if I used any other link like Chart Data despite them always being accurate. --CoughingCookieHeart (talk) 17:04, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's still unsourced. Don't add it if it can't be sourced. Oh and yes, my OCD... never mind that that's per WP:TWITTER, but yes, just must be my OCD. Lmao. Try harder next time. Or maybe don't get personal just because you're pissed you were reverted (WP:PERSONAL). Ss112 17:07, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Implying the evil Wikipedia boogie men are gonna track you down for putting in something that's entirely accurate and I'm the upset one but everytime someone does something you don't like you kick up a fuss and go looking for their talk page to write an essay. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 --CoughingCookieHeart (talk) 17:49, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty sure I just used a template this time buddy, and you yourself just wrote a paragraph in reply to me (which is what seems to pass for an "essay" in your book). But sure, keep trying to argue with me because you're pressed your unsourced edit got rightly reverted. Sounds pretty upset to me! Ss112 17:58, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Also I don't know about any "boogie men" but regular Wikipedia editors (read: not me) will make it a habit to monitor your edits and habitually revert you if you make it a habit to add unsourced content because "waaah I can't source it, [insert excuse here]". It happens all the time. And, if that happens...well, I can't say you won't deserve it. Ss112 18:02, 26 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:XXXTENTACION-Sad-Changes-Single-Cover.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:XXXTENTACION-Sad-Changes-Single-Cover.jpg.

Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 4 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lil Peep‎. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 01:38, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
