The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1029429869#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

Admins: Use seth's tool to search the spamlists.

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

Just wanted to add to the page Direct-to-consumer as the reference is relevant for the specific topic and request to whitelist for this one. And also what could be the reason for blacklisting the whole domain.TullikaInode1 (talk) 19:07, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

no Declined. This is missing the link you'd like to add. If you're asking to whitelist the root domain, that effectively whitelists the entire site, so you'll need to make a request to remove it from the blacklist instead here. Please note on that page "Requests from site owners or anyone with a conflict of interest will be declined." If you want to whitelist a specific page, just add it here, but please be much more specific as it seems very unlikely that anything there would meet the criteria for WP:RS. As to the reason for the original blacklisting: spamming content marketing links from multiple COI account and IPs over a period of several years. Kuru (talk) 01:49, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

libgen.life forum post by founder for reference

I am posting this again as it has been archived twice:

The Library Genesis has had repeated disputes over the project URLs, I would like to reference a post by the founder of Library Genesis on the libgen.life forums. The libgen.life domain is a forum for discussing the project which is caught by the \blibgen\b regex but does not host Library Genesis content. Here is the specific post by the founder I would like to reference:

    • Link requested to be whitelisted: neighborhoodarchive.com/images/misterogers/een/episodes/0025/snapshot20180214160754.JPG

Acting as a source (titled: Episode 0025 (EEN) - The Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Archive) on Camel case, this link is being used (since 7 January 2020) as an incorrectly formatted url to semi-bypass the blacklist. The source depicts camel case used as a trademark 'MisteRogers Neighborhood' from an episode of the show. Mxtt.prior (talk) 12:47, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

    OpinionNigeria page

Thank you for providing this opportunity for one to make a request and a case for whitelisting of a blocked web page. I am creating an article about an interesting topic and one of the sources I need to cite for reference, is blocked. The blocked domain is opinionnigeria.com: Linksearch en (insource) - meta - de - fr - simple - wikt:en - wikt:frSpamcheckMER-C X-wikigs • Reports: Links on en - COIBot - COIBot-Local • Discussions: tracked - advanced - RSN • COIBot-Link, Local, & XWiki Reports - Wikipedia: en - fr - de • Google: searchmeta • Domain: domaintoolsAboutUs.com and the link I need whitelisting is Link requested to be whitelisted: opinionnigeria.com/igp-ibrahim-idriss-unending-baggage-of-controversies-by-ebiowei-dickson/

I have cross-checked this domain, ran it through some websites like alexa, websiteoutlook, google, and bing and seen that the domain is authentic and with a good authority too. The domain has existed for over eight years and publishes regular contents that get displayed in google news portal. This link Link requested to be whitelisted: opinionnigeria.com/igp-ibrahim-idriss-unending-baggage-of-controversies-by-ebiowei-dickson/ is vital to my article to further establish the relevance of the article as reported by Committee to Protect Journalist, CPJ Link requested to be whitelisted: cpj.org/2018/01/nigerian-journalist-detained-over-critical-article/.

I'd really appreciate a review of the reason why this domain was blocked and kindly whitelist.

Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Suleiman.bako1982 (talkcontribs) 22:38, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
