Millennium: 3rd millennium
Centuries:
Decades:
Years:

2024 is the current year in parts of the world where the time zone is or earlier. It is a leap year starting on Monday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2024th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 24th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 5th year of the 2020s decade.

With over 40 national elections being held throughout the year, 2024 is expected to be an unusually busy election year with seven of the top ten most populous countries holding elections throughout this year.[1] Artificial intelligence is expected to influence and sway voters ahead of elections, increasing risks of political disinformation and democratic backsliding across the world.[2][3]
