The goal of WikiProject Christianity is to improve the quality and quantity of information about Christianity available on Wikipedia. As a group, we do not prefer any particular tradition or denominination of Christianity, but seek to it that all Christian traditions are fairly and accurately represented. The project shall try to present data in articles fairly and accurately, respecting the beliefs of existing denominations. However, there are a huge number and variety of denominations which can be classified as Christian. On that basis, an editor might put something in an article which contradicts a given denomination's beliefs, probably due to ignorance of that specific denomination and/or its belief systems. Should that be the case, please post a message to that effect on either the article talk page or the project talk page.
Also, when you are reading any articles and you notice text that could be linking to any other Christian Wikipedia article, take time to put in the link. Linking articles together is helpful to readers and editors.
Departments
Assessment - the (you guessed it!) assessment unit.
To Do
Attract attention from editors interested in Christianity and Christianity-related topics.
Discuss the feasibility and desirability of activating this project, and strategy.
A destubbification campaign, which would consist of categorized lists of stubs nominated for expansion by project members. New nominees would be placed at the bottom and rise as stubs above are removed. Each category's top stub would be removed once a week, or re-added to the bottom if it's not destubbed yet, making sure the focus stubs are rotated. The categories would be something like:
Bible stubs
Theology stubs
Ecclesiastical stubs, for denominations, traditions, churches, and parachurch organizations
People stubs, for individuals
Culture stubs, for culture, music, art, architecture, and so on
Adopted Topic, where a suite of topically related articles are targeted for improvement until there's a consensus to move on to a new topic.
Article Review, for articles nominated by members for wider review. In this case the new ones go at the top and sink as new ones are added.
Work on expanding or adding templates, such as a template for Christian theology.
Devise standards to apply across Christianity articles.
Bring a more neutral voice to articles which categorize a movement as non-Christian or a cult.
Dr.Tam12:55, 19 May 2006 (UTC) I am a chinese protestant christian, and I am interested in Jewish history, Christian history and Christian philosophy.[reply]
―Linux|erist I am willing to join in. I am a follower of Christ, though I cannot decide myself about whether or not to use the term "Christianity" as it covers such a broad range of "religions." For instance, I personally do not agree with Mormonism, though it is part of Christianity. Nonetheless, I join to help improve the included articles on Wikipedia.
Pentecost19:12, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Missionary for the Assemblies of God. I have studied Bible and have a wealth of factual knowledge on the Bible and on doctrine of other denominations.[reply]
User:Rursus09:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC). I've been poking around among denomination pages already (fixin glinx etc), so I can join here too. Respect every human - regardless their faith, "race" and national identity!![reply]

SkyWalker08:08, 23 December 2006 (UTC) Hey. Iam a convert to Christianity. I believe that Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with God. I do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. I will do my best to improve the articles and help eliminate vandalism.[reply]
TeediumProud, Roman Catolic here to ridicule the other so called 'Christian Churches'. Note sarcasim and dislike of the type of statement the last statement is.
Miguel de Servet19:23, 6 January 2007 (UTC) (I am a rather unorthodox Roman Catholic, totally convinced that the Trinity is an evil pagan pollution, and that the Apostles' Creed is the only one synthesizingthe authentic Christian faith. The s.c. Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed is merely the result of political-theological struggles)[reply]
Demmeis01:29, 5 March 2007 (UTC) I'm a longtime Wikipedia reader with a rather diverse background in Christian theology and biblical studies. I'm still rather new at editing, but I'd like to do what I can.[reply]
