London Buses route U4 is a Transport for London contracted bus route in London, United Kingdom. The service is currently contracted to First London.
History
Route U4 replaced the discontinued section of the 140 between Bourne Avenue and High Street, which then runs parallel to Pump Lane, it then runs via Botwell Lane, Judge Heath Lane, Harlington Road, Pield Heath Road, Hillingdon Hospital, Kingston Lane, Brunel University, Uxbridge Road, High Street (Uxbridge) and finishes at Uxbridge Station.
It has always been operated by Centrewest at the Uxbridge garage using midibuses, Dennis Darts, it was converted to double-deck in the summer of 2003 using Dennis Trident 2 9.9m / Plaxton President.
