A tag has been placed on Commander in Chief (video game) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Blu star detergent dragons logo.png

Thank you for uploading File:Blu star detergent dragons logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Also:

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 29 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:Philippine Arena SEA Games.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Philippine Arena SEA Games.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hello HueMan1, I suggest using the "Confirmed cases by city and province" tab on the tracker, though we painstakefully have to tally each region by city. Then any discrepancy I assume should be under "for validation".Hariboneagle927 (talk) 08:04, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

After my failed RM to "2020 Philippine community quarantines", I am now hesitating to move this article like Jojit fb did to Enhanced community quarantine in Luzon. Do you think we should make a separate article for the national response or re-open the RM since there was no clear consensus? Thanks Hariboneagle927! —hueman1 (talk contributions) 02:50, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well it depends on what kind of national response you intend to cover. I think a separate article for national response could be more apt. While the community quarantine measures covers several measures such as stay at home orders, curfew, transportation ban, etc. Are there any examples of measures outside the quarantine? Are social amelioation program and DOLE's CAMP examples?Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:08, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The Philippine local government response to the COVID-19 pandemic was intended to be like the U.S. state and local government response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I think we can add the repatriation of the overseas Filipinos and testing facilities, aside from the social amelioration program and DOLE's CAMP. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 12:31, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Are you suggesting a new page tackling detailed national-level response (instead of state-level response like the US and India examples)? Since we are a unitary state instead of a federal, the divide between local and national response are blurred. (does field/regional offices of the executive departments count as local response for example?). I agree the testing facilities and repatriation efforts could be added. Maybe you could create a draft first on how such a page would look like?

Maybe we could layout the national government's response by government agency or by the type of support/measure they implement (repatriation, cash subsidy, etc.)?Hariboneagle927 (talk) 16:37, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Hariboneagle927: Here's my draft: Philippine local government response to the COVID-19 pandemic. What do you think? —hueman1 (talk contributions) 18:08, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hueman1: Too early to tell, do you plan to have a table like the United States and India equivalent? If so which rows do you plan to include? For the Philippine context, I think provinces and independent cities would be covered here. State of calamity, Community/GCQ or ECQ has been imposed, travel restrictions (Northern Mindanao LGUs for example has restricted travel outside the region despite being under GCQ)?
Perhaps we could use the region-specific articles as the "main article" under the region subsections. We could also group the region subsections under a section named "By region" since unlike the US and India examples there is no regional government save for BangsamoroHariboneagle927 (talk) 18:58, 9 May 2020 (UTC).[reply]
Or maybe a separate table per region would be more manageable?.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 09:16, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Wansapanataym (1997 TV series) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Philippine Space Program - reverts

Hi I noticed you reverted some of my edits regarding the sentence "The agency is currently focused on developing additional micro and nano-satellites and plans to achieve rocket launch capability in the future." I found the original text to be an almost exact copy of the cited source so that's why I changed it. However please feel free to improve it :)

Additionally, I know you are the original creator of the Philippine space program so I would appreciate your feedback on my edits.

Sabaybayin (talk) 06:45, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Sabaybayin: Hello sorry if my reasons weren't clear. In my opinion, some nuance for the lack of better term got lost. From what I understand is that the future space agency will focus more on satellite development rather than developing launch capability especially skeptics are questioning how is a space agency a necessity for "a nation who needs to solve more earthbound problems first". From what I infer, there is no plan for rocket launch capability, and a more non-committal "hope" to do so, since as a space agency, it would look bad if they say "they cant".Hariboneagle927 (talk) 07:58, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Sabaybayin:Regarding the image gallery, it would be helpful to convey context to the images by adding captions as per WP:NOTGALLERY. Also not every image related to the space program had to be included if it conveys basically the same information and as much as possible place images beside a relevant section if possible. Anyway thanks for your efforts improving the articles.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 08:12, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hariboneagle927: Sure thing I understand what you mean when they say they want to have rocket launch capability. Regarding the image gallery I will continue to add more captions to better situate the text. I'm also in the process of improving the text sections then returning to the images. Thanks for the feedback!

About "Magnum Muslim .357 (1986 film)"

Good day, Hariboneagle927. I would like to ask about the title change to Magnum Muslim .357, as Muslim .357, based on the film's title card, seems to be the actual title of the work. Gardo Versace and I already had a discussion regarding the matter a few months back, and we agreed to the title Muslim .357. I thank you, however, for changing back the article title for the 2014 film. LionFosset (talk) 05:36, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Flag of the Pacific Oceania tennis team.svg

Thank you for uploading File:Flag of the Pacific Oceania tennis team.svg.

Thank you.

Native

Dictionary definition of native: "a person born in a specified place or associated with a place by birth, whether subsequently resident there or not". See here. Cbl62 (talk) 06:10, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm aware of this dictionary meaning, but I wanted to be precise because some sources also misuse "native". Not in the case for Mike Corgan though. Moving a page.

A few months back a asked you for help with moving a page, thanks by the way. Now, I noticed that when you move page articles, you dont create a redirect page. Whereas when I move a page, it always come with "over a redirect" tag. I create a redirect page when moving an article, while you do not. Do you have any idea why? GoalkeeperCIWS (talk) 11:48, 5 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Checked on this, usually when I move the page, I use the "More" tab above which has a "Move" dropdown. The move page says this: "Using the form below will rename a page, moving all of its history to the new name. The old title will become a redirect page to the new title. Links to the old page title will not be changed." Could you give an example on a move I made, since as far as I remember whenever I move a page, the old name becomes a redirect page. Also there was an option in the past to move a page "without creating a redirect" but it seems the feature is not available for some time alreadyHariboneagle927 (talk) 08:06, 6 December 2020 (UTC).[reply]

Yoshinoya Century Pacific Inc.

Hi, Hariboneagle927. Yoshinoya Century Pacific Inc. (the Philippine franchisee of Yoshinoya from 2001 to 2020) is a subsidiary of Century Pacific Group Inc., the parent company Century Pacific Food Inc. Therefore, Yoshinoya Century Pacific Inc. should not be directly connected to Century Pacific Food Inc. as they are affiliate companies. iamdumdum (talk) 09:47 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello, I get what you are saying, but I placed Yoshinoya as a former brand (not as a former subsidiary), of Century Pacific Group Inc. Is there a better way to present the information in a less confusing way?Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:46, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the Wikipedia article pertains to Century Pacific Food Inc., not Century Pacific Group Inc., so that should be reason enough not to include Yoshinoya. Creating a separate article for Century Pacific Group Inc. would probably be the way to go but there is a dearth of articles and references available to justify creating a page for it. iamdumdum (talk) 11:55 20 February 2021 (UTC)
Oh okay, thanks for clarifying and got the two mixed up.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 12:08, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I was also confused at first. It took me some research to distinguish the various companies of the Century Pacific Group and to realize the parent Century Pacific Group Inc. (formerly Century Canning Corporation) is not the PSE listed Century Pacific Food Inc. of the Wikipedia article. You have the honor of reverting the Yoshinoya edit. =) iamdumdum (talk) 12:17 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Petro Gazz Angels

Hi, Hariboneagle927. This team's actual participation in 2021 PSL Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup needs to be clarified before final entry is made to their article regarding such. Reason being, Petro Gazz has been officially silent as to their participation. The entity making the pronouncements of their PSL participation is actually Kennedy Energy and Development Corporation. They have officially announced their PSL participation under the name "Kennedy Solar Energy-Petro Gazz" in their Facebook page. Inspite the inclusion of Petro Gazz name, it is unclear as of now whether the Petro Gazz volleyball organization (players, coaching staff) has indeed collaborated with Kennedy Energy and Development Corporation for the 2021 PSL Beach Challenge Cup. It would be best to wait-and-see before including anything related to PSL in the Petro Gazz Angels article. iamdumdum (talk) 12:01 23 February 2021 (UTC)

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Your Revision to Paeng Nepomuceno

Hello, Hariboneagle927.

You had a Revision as of 11:50 and 11:52, 16 November 2020 for some reverts due to unsourced revisions, I have noticed there was a citation needed tag for his 30 Seagame Gold medals that was removed without providing citations. I have added Seagames medals for Bowler Zhalin Zulkifli of Malaysia who is the record holder for 30 SEAG Gold, I cannot find any sources for the 30 of Paeng, maybe it was a typo? Sorry if this is not the right area to discuss this.

Your Revision to Bong Coo

Hi Hariboneagle927,

You are right in the subjective claims made to Bong Coo during this Women's month. I reverted the paragraph to earlier editions between  25 September 2016‎ and 3 September 2018‎ that you reviewed then. In that edition, a Philippine Law passed by the legislature about the classifications of national athletes based on merit was cited, hence the distinction about number of titles, sex and discipline. I also removed the inline citation since it was already placed in the Further Reading area.

I think the titles and or records are listed in the references mentioned and in the Further reading section that can be placed in the reference area if need be.

Thank you

Non-free rationale for File:Logo NWRB.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Logo NWRB.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. To elaborate; logos must be kept local with a FUR, as they are trademarked despite being PD-Philippines and copyrighted in the United States. Removing picture

There is NO rule in Wikipedia that a picture of a supporting actress can't be added in an article for the TV series. TheHotwiki (talk) 11:40, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, there is no rule as I explained it's a discretion. As I said we dont have the luxury of having images for Filipino actresses and actors. The question is why add Cherie Gil's photo in the Legal Wives over the others aside from "it's available" or she is a veteran actress? Just because it's available, the image should be included. And if it's for identification purposes, readers could always go to the actors/actress' page. That is my rationale for the edit.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:50, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That is an absurd reason to remove a photo. She's not an extra in the show. And just because photos are "limited" for Filipino actors, it doesn't give you the right to make it more limited by preventing editors to post pictures of the supporting cast in TV articles in Wikipedia. They are added for identification without needing to visit their respective Wikipedia page. TheHotwiki (talk) 23:36, 9 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I understand but I had to disagree. I find it insufficient reason. This is an electronic encyclopedia not a paperback one. She's not an extra indeed but photo selection does not merely provide identification and may convey other message (unintended or otherwise, in this case the inclusion of Cherie Gil's image implies she has equal billing with Trillo).Hariboneagle927 (talk) 01:01, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

She's part of the show in a supporting role, that's enough reason to include her picture. Its not like that section is bloated with dozen of pictures for you to get selective which picture stays in. So thank you for discussing this, don't remove it again.TheHotwiki (talk) 05:12, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this is going anywhere. Even though we disagree on this thanks for thr discussion as well. I won't remove it for now but I would ask for feedback from other editors regarding this content dispute since as you pointed it out there is no standing consensus for dealing with cast photos, at least one that I'm aware of. But it's not a priority for me for now at least. Hariboneagle927 (talk) 05:45, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I just stumbled upon this report from the Manila Bulletin saying that a minor was also injured during the blast. Shouldn't the article be at 2021 Masbate City blast or something? —hueman1 (talk contributions) 11:11, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

So, apparently they were shot too according to latest reports. —hueman1 (talk contributions) 11:14, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I really don't know what the naming should be, I am under the impression that the Absalon got caught in a landmine/bomb explosion by the NPA. Changing the name to "2021 Masbate City blast" would seem that the NPA specifically targeted the victims, so provisionally I named the draft after the two people who died.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 11:54, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). As you should in fact know, the nickname that is always associated with him is "Bebot" and not "Panty" because I know the person personally. Knowing this problem, this edit of yours needs to be corrected immediately or else necessary legal action will be taken in order to settle this issue properly.

Here is an example of a source from a media website in the Philippines where he is referred to as "Bebot": https://www.pna.gov.ph/opinion/pieces/389-a-great-divide-in-davao-del-norte

Even in one of his social media accounts, he is referred to as "Bebot" and not "Panty": https://www.instagram.com/congpantaleonalvarez/?hl=en

@Mcbirdieboy: This is noted, thanks for providing a source. I apologize for the warning. I am not the one who included the supposed Panty (which presumably came from his name at a glance) nickname though. I suggest removing the nickname altogether since he isn't widely referred to that a nickname at all.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 10:42, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening to you again.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for addressing the issue regarding the Wikipedia page of Congressman Pantaleon Alvarez. I would also like to mention that after hearing from your side, I now think that you absolutely have nothing to do regarding the derogatory nickname because it was actually given to him by another user.

Secondly, I would truly like to apologize for my 'offensive' nature if ever I did upset you in any way because it was an act made by me in the heat of the moment. Again, the person in the given page is someone who I know personally and I am just doing him a favor.

Thirdly, I do hope that misinformation such as these won't happen again in the future, and I also hope that certain users will refrain from using disrespectful or derogatory words, statements or remarks when editing his page in the future.

Lastly, I absolutely agree with your decision to omit the nickname in order to avoid further confusion among readers and editors of the page.

Again, I would like to thank you for taking much of your time in addressing the problem as early as possible, and your efforts in doing so are greatly appreciated.

Mcbirdieboy (talk) 12:09, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Mcbirdieboy: The nickname was reverted back again at least once, but I raised the issue on the talk page. It appears that the nickname has been used in the past. I can only assume the subject prefers a newer nickname. So I think ommiting the nickname is the most amenable move since the nickname isn't an essential part of article. As you point out causes unnecessary confusion. Thank you for realizing that I don't intend ill intention at all. On the side note please reply in the appropriate section when replying here or other user's page instead of the top.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 12:34, 4 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. For future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia? In particular, adding a link to the source and the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved. It is not too late to add the attribution. List of first Olympic gold medalists by country

I'm slowly updating the chart, but how do we handle nations that won their first gold medals in two or more different events on the same day? Figuring out which events were held at which time may prove very difficult. Bkatcher (talk) 05:06, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Bkatcher:, I think it would be fine to list all medalists who won the first gold medals on the same day as last resort or especially if a nation treats multiple athletes (who won on the same day) as their first Olympic gold medalist as noted in reliable sources.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 02:57, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Nayong Pilipino Cultural Park and Creative Hub requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Pacquiao as PDP-Laban President

You haven't added a source for Manny Pacquiao being in dispute for poistion of President of PDP-Laban. Although he is leader of a faction, that doesn't mean automatically he is holding an official post. Has Manny or his loyalists claimed he is still president? If yes please add a source, if not the claim of dispute has to be removed.

Also him running in Philippines presidential elections wouldn't qualify as well. Political candidate for president of a country and a political party's administrative President are not the same things. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 16:58, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I assure you that there was no confusion in the first place (in light of Pacquiao being nominated as party bet for the presidential elections). There are two existing factions who has elected separate set of officials. I added source on Pacquiao's page itself.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 02:15, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't about your assurances. All edits must be sourced. A faction leader need not always be leader of a whole party. Has Manny or his supporters claimed he is president or called the election illegal? LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 15:43, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please disregard my message about the "assurance" (it's only within the context of this talk page section). I already said that I've added the source on the Manny Pacquiao article. Please check it yourself.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 16:15, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I already did before your message. I'm just trying to say evidence for a claim needs to be there before adding it. LéKashmiriSocialiste (talk) 16:45, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
