Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 23:33, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Unsourced people in Ex-gay movement
I've gone ahead and sourced everything that you contested as unsourced. Feel free to drop me a note if you see errors or omissions. Providing encyclopedic coverage of such a controversial topic is indeed a delicate BLP balance, isn't it? Jclemens (talk) 00:01, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
Edit war
I suggest you stop moving the edit war you are involved in to new language versions all the time. Discuss things on one language version (why not here on enwp?) and then move on to other language versions. GameOn (talk) 08:32, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Etiquette, policy, etc.
Hi, regarding some of your recent comments at the RfD, I gently suggest that you leave out (and even go back and strike) your thoughts regarding other editors' motivations. See WP:Etiquette - there are various procedures for handling difficult situations with other editors (e.g. WP:WQA, WP:DDE, WP:DR), but until that point it's best to stick to policy; don't give others the ability to bring action against you. Best, AV3000 (talk) 14:09, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
- I striked some of my comments per WP:AGF. Thanks for your advice. But, user who started AFD didnt even read instructions how to do that. Please read my comment on talk page of the AFD page.--В и к и в и н д T a L k 14:28, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

curiousity killed the cat
a strange question in deed. a simple answer: why should u see me on other language wikis, anyways? i don't know, since i don't see any point on wasting my time there. goodone (talk) 14:31, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- u will find that my answer is not so strange, if u realize that the main points u had for asking ur question in the 1st place r invalid by themselves. however, this is only valid if u do not think i should be wasting my time on at least seven different language wikis. if u do, well, then, i simply do not agree. i have a life after all. goodone (talk) 15:03, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
- as for translation of the article, asaik, there is such an article on sr wiki already. well, it may not be complete, precise, or well structured and written as the one u r referring to, and it surely is outdated, but there is one. counted that somebody didn't delete it meanwhile, since the last time i checked was in 2008, and i somehow got the feeling it wasn't updated either. moreover, i don't want to waste time searching for it now; the entire cyrillic nonsense is too much for me. anyways, have fun translating. wikipedia surely could use more activity. goodone (talk) 15:03, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
National Socialism
As the article is a redirect from National Socialism and there is NO separate article thereon, it is clear that referring to National Socialism and making it extremely clear that the reference is not about Nazism must belong properly in some article, and this is "the only game in town". Please self-revert the Nazism revert you made, or show me what article it belongs in -- noting that there is NO "National Socialism" article. Cheers. Collect (talk) 17:41, 23 September 2011 (UTC)
What about this as a sexual orientation? You want to support its inclusion at the Sexual orientation article? Homosexuals and zoosexuals, in the same boat. You can come in and comment on the talk page. 120.203.215.11 (talk) 01:17, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
- I am aware of the discussion, and the only reason why I didn′t commented is because I know it will not happen. There are no reliable scientific sources that classify "zoosexuality" as a sexual orientation. It is a pathetic attempt of one user, and it will never pass. And message for you - be careful because this can be seen as canvassing. Regards!--В и к и T 08:54, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
eh srbine...:(

Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Freedom to Marry, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Anne Hathaway, Jack Reed and Bob Casey (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome
Hi, Wikiwind, welcome to the Article Rescue Squadron! We are a growing community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to identifying and rescuing articles and content that have been nominated for deletion. Every day hundreds of articles are deleted, many rightfully so. But many concern notable subjects and are poorly written, ergo fixable, and should not be deleted. We try to help these articles and content to quickly improve and address the concerns of why they are proposed for deletion. This covers a lot of ground and your help is appreciated!
If you have any questions, feel free to ask on the talk page, and we will be happy to help you. And once again — Welcome! Northamerica1000(talk) 18:08, 29 March 2012 (UTC) |
AfD request
Please explain why you think an AfD is appropriate? The article was previously redirected by consensus, therefore the article should remain redirected until consensus changes. Fasttimes68 (talk) 21:13, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- I don't know all relevant facts but if I'm not mistaken, article is deleted 8 months ago. In the meantime she got news coverage as a result of lawsuit against the NYPD, so it's not the same article that was deleted 8 months ago. You should really start new deletion request if you think she's not notable. --В и к и T 21:26, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
PS. If you continue to abuse your rollback privileges, I will ask their removal. See WP:ROLLBACK.--В и к и T 21:32, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- One use isn't abuse. This article is essentially the same as the earlier version. If there is a disagreement about this, it should be discussed first.. This is really just a procedural issue, and I don't think AfD is the place for it at the moment -- the talk page of the article should sufficent to respect the previous consensus. Of course I'm open to being convinced otherwise. Regards. Fasttimes68 (talk) 21:43, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- The correct place to debate this is DRV and that what what you should do, take the draft to DRV and see if community consensus supports restoration. Spartaz Humbug! 18:34, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Think of it this way
With a significant number of Opposes, a ban right now would be controversial and noisy. With that closure in place, it is very unlikely that POV editing will get by the onlookers, and any ban will be much easier to enforce and defend because it comes after an unambiguous warning of consequences.
The alternative is a "no consensus" close and punt it to ArbCom, which would leave you arguing for another month or two.
Watch, wait, and let Anupam dig their own grave if that's how it must be. Guy (Help!) 11:51, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- I can agree that there was no consensus for site ban (although, there was growing support), but there was consensus for topic ban. More than 75% of users supported TB, and if you discount comments of those involved (including mine), that percentage is even higher. I don't think that you will be attacked by all sides, because Anupam is more than satisfied with this outcome. --В и к и T 14:30, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
- It's not a vote. I looked at the opinions, there were credible objections from people whose view I had no reason to discount. This way any ban resulting from continuation should have approaching 100% support. Guy (Help!) 15:15, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Just wanted to tell you that there is discussion happening on the changes you made to the discussion, although I wan't 100% sure which changes your comment was referring to. Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase
Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that. Thanks! —chaos5023 20:34, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Hi; FYI, please see my comment in this section. Good Ol’factory (talk) 03:04, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
- I disagree. Can you tell me which part of my notice was not neutrally worded?--В и к и T 04:39, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
- There are a couple of different parts that could be interpreted as implying a preference for a particular outcome, though that may not have been your actual intent. In particular, the sentence—"If that argument is accepted, than all subcategories from Category:LGBT people by occupation will probably be deleted." That statement (1) is speculative, (2) is very probably not true, (3) goes beyond the necessarily information to inform others of the discussion, and (4) inflates the importance of the individual discussions to appear to make their saving necessary in order to save the entire Category:LGBT people by occupation tree. Based on this sentence, a user might well be influenced to !vote "keep" on the individual discussions because he wants to keep the Category:LGBT people by occupation tree rather than !voting on the merits of the individual discussions themselves. With these types of notices, less is usually better to maintain neutrality and the appearance of neutrality. Good Ol’factory (talk) 08:19, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

- I'd appreciate your advice though on how to handle the material on Mehmed II. My concern is that this will be lost as other editors ignore requests to engage in debate. Contaldo80 (talk) 08:28, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
- I have no opinion on whether to include this material, but if they refuse to discuss, then feel free to restore deleted text after the protection expires. Perhaps you should call them again to discuss the issue on the talk page.--В и к и T 09:09, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

2guys1horse.com
Hi, just letting you know that although you nominated 2guys1horse.com for deletion, someone has already redirected the page to Enumclaw horse sex case—you seem to have accidentally added the AfD template to the target page, so I've removed it. Scratch that; your edit beat mine! – 296.x (talk) 11:25, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, the article is redirected at 07:18, 22 April 2013, and I nominated it for deletion at 07:19, 22 April 2013. I don't know how to close AFD discussion?--В и к и T 11:34, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- You can withdraw the nomination and, in this case, close as speedy keep. There are instructions on how to close it; I would only bother carrying out the first step (just "Closing the AfD", not "Carrying out the AfD close" on down) as it was an accidental nomination. – 296.x (talk) 11:46, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. It's done.--В и к и T 11:54, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- Is the content itself even viable for the merge-target, or are the refs that support it (as the AFD nom says) too unreliable and/or the site not notable enough to avoid WP:UNDUE? DMacks (talk) 12:05, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- It should not be merged. The only reliable source (Seattle Times) does not mention this site, other sources are completely unreliable.--В и к и T 12:14, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions =
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 00:23, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
FYI
Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. You aren't really the subject of it, only mentioned, but better safe than sorry thought I'd tell you. CarolMooreDC - talkie talkie🗽 01:36, 27 May 2013 (UTC)
Serbian help needed
Hello Wikiwind, I'm contacting you because we need some Serbian translators to help with the deployment of the new VisualEditor on sr.wikipedia. There are help pages, user guides, and description pages that need translating, as well as the interface itself. The translating work is going on over on MediaWiki: Translation Central. I also need help with a personal message for the Serbian Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Thanks for your time, PEarley (WMF) (talk) 22:44, 26 July 2013 (UTC)
Jovanovic
I posted the bib.irb.hr link for Jovanovic's doctoral thesis – http://bib.irb.hr/prikazi-rad?lang=en&rad=385960 – to the Croatian biography's talk page last night. Article unchanged, still locked. Andreas JN466 15:34, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- I saw your comment last night. I expected from them to remove that content, not because they want to but as a part of damage control, but it seems that I was wrong. Aministrator who locked the article has made a lot of edits since then, so he probably saw your comment but chose not to respond. This morning, one user posted a link to facebook profile of that administrator, where he had picture of Ante Pavelić in his gallery. He quickly deleted the picture, but I have screenshot.--В и к и T 16:16, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
- I noticed that they do actually cite a secondary source further down: [3] Still, the statement that there is no ID number for him is just plain wrong, and it's clear that much of the paragraph is original (and faulty) research by people who don't like him. Not good. Best, Andreas JN466 16:46, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
Response to e-mail
For some reason, the e-mail reply I've sent you has bounced. Here's the answer:
- Pozdrav!
– Miranche T C 19:38, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- OK. If you change your mind, here is the link:User_talk:Jimbo_Wales#Croatian_Wikipedia_controversy --В и к и T 19:50, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I had a chance to get a better sense of what's been going on so I left a comment on Jimbo's page. – Miranche T C 23:44, 18 September 2013 (UTC)
