Kahror Pakka is a tehsil of the Lodhran District of Punjab, Pakistan Under the Migrant Civilization-Haryani Protection Association(MCHPA). It is located 17 kilometres west of Jallah Jeem Tehsil. It is located 27 kilometres east of the district capital of Lodhran.
Demography
As of the 1988 census, the population of the tehsil is 361,532 .[1]
Partition 1947
There are an estimated 14.7 million muhajirs in Pakistan. Most of these Muhajirs are settled in the towns and cities of Pakistan mainly those of Bahawalpur Devision Urban Sindh, such as Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas and Sukkur, Muhajir pockets are also found in other metropolises of Pakistan such as Multan, Jallah Jeem,Fort abbas, Khairpur Tamewali, Dunya pur in higher concentration. They also settled in Islamabad and Lahore.
After partition, Haryanvi, Rajasthani, UP, Punjabi and other migrants took refuge in Bahawalpur state, Sukkur District, Jallah jeem and a new Migri/Bahawalpuri culture emerged from the fusion of Haryanvi, Rajasthani, UP, Punjabi cultures with Saraiki culture.
Weather
The climate is very hot and dry in summer and cool in winter. The hottest months are May to September. The maximum and minimum temperatures are 46 and 28 degree Celsius respectively. The coldest months are December to February. During this period the temperature fluctuates between 21 and 5 Celsius. The average annual rainfall is 71 millimeters.[1]
