Sitapur district (Hindi: सीतापुर जिला) is one of the districts of Uttar Pradesh state of India, with Sitapur town as the district headquarters. Sitapur district is a part of Lucknow division. Divisions

The district is divided into six tehsils: Sitapur, Biswan, Mishrikh, Laharpur, Mahmoodabad and Sidhauli.

There are nine Vidhan Sabha constituencies in this district: Maholi, Sitapur, Hargaon, Laharpur, Biswan, Sevata, Mahmoodabad, Sidhauli and Misrikh. Sitapur, Laharpur, Biswan, Sevata and Mahmoodabad are part of Sitapur Lok Sabha constituency. Maholi and Hargaon are part of Dhauraha Lok Sabha constituency. Sidhauli and Misrikh are parts of Mohanlalganj and Misrikh Lok Sabha constituencies respectively.
