Criticism
- 1)Corruption --
There have been the problem of corruption in delivery of toilets , latrines etc. since the launch of Central Rural Sanitation Programme (CRSP) 1986. In rural areas BDOs, GP President , Secretaries etc. take bribe from the poor Indians to provide toilets , latrines etc. Poorest Indians could not get the toilets , latrines etc. as they could pay the bribe .
- 2)Planning problem –-
Formerly called Planning Commission prepared the guidelines of the scheme based on false report through upward communication from BDO, GP President and secretary etc. at the bottom. Chairman , deputy chairman and other members of Planning Commission don’t have any interest to cross check the information receiving from the bottom end by visiting the villages and seeing physically and talking with the beneficiaries face to face.
- 3)Irresponsibility --
Central govt. don’t take responsibility to deliver the toilets , latrines etc. as the Ministry of Panchayti Raj , Govt. of India close the case by transferring to the state govt. in respond to the public grievances lodged in the said ministry. Ministry of Panchayati Raj , Govt. of India never call the detailed matter from the state govt. to solve it directly .
- 4)Political score –
Each time different Prime Ministers of India change the name of the scheme to get political score , but the problem of the delivery of toilets , latrines etc. remain as it is.
