    The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

    Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

    Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

    Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

    Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

    There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|738215126#section_name}}

    Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

    Admins: Use seth's tool to search the spamlists.

    Notice to everyone about our Reliable sources and External links noticeboards

    If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

    Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

    If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

    Proposed additions to Whitelist (web pages to unblock)

    • I was wondering if the following two links may be unblocked as they are both desired, and coincidentally both from the same domain.

    I wanted to use them on the Wayne_Wilder article as references to radio shows that the artists has done in recent times. The information in these two recordings will help back-up information on the Wikipedia page while also providing a wealth of information yet to be documented on the page. They also act as a good reference point for people who want to hear some recordings of his music for free. Thank you. Whatsername92 (talk) 14:44, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Page regarding potential merger of SEIU and AFSCME

    I tried to add the following text, and it would not save as this was on the blacklist. This is an important development that should be noted in those articles. Political action and potential merger with AFSCME In August, 2016, SEIU and AFSCME announced a partnership and a potential merger. |title=Labor News > Two massive unions, SEIU and AFSCME, announce partnership, potential merger Two massive unions, SEIU and AFSCME, announce partnership, potential merger |author=PAI |newspaper=People’s World |date=August 1, 2016 |acessdate=August 23 2016 7&6=thirteen () 11:50, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    You are trying to add an url shortener. The link you want to add is http://peoplesworld.org/two-massive-unions-seiu-and-afscme-announce-partnership-potential-merger/. --Dirk Beetstra T C 12:20, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    Thanks for the help. It worked. 7&6=thirteen () 12:56, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Translation of the Manifesto of the 343

    I want to use this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20160611012314/https://manifesto343.wordpress.com/ for the Manifesto of the 343 article; it is a translation of the manifesto. Please let me know on my Talk Page if I can add this link to the whitelist (or if you have done so yourself). Thank you. JaneSwifty (talk) 15:28, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    @JaneSwifty: no Declined. Nothing to do, not blacklisted. If you feel however that the suggested addition is controversial, then please discuss it on the talkpage of the page where you want to add it to, first. --Dirk Beetstra T C 16:36, 24 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    Oh, okay, great. I didn't think it was controversial, just mistakenly thought it was blacklisted. Thanks.JaneSwifty (talk)

    tradedoubler.com

    For Tradedoubler. Other links are basically blacklist evasion. --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:38, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Open source Open Innovation Platform

    I'd like to add link to open innovation platform on Open Innovation page to make people aware of open source solutions to build open innovation platforms.

    Adding official website link to article

    I was wondering can the specific url be white-listed so that it can be added on their Wikipedia article infobox here YourStory . Dinnypaul (talk) 16:38, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    @Dinnypaul: per /Common requests#About, we would need an about-page or a full url (including an index.htm) of the index page. Can you please provide a suitable link? --Dirk Beetstra T C 16:49, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    @Beetstra: index.php works, it just redirects to the home page. I've changed the WLRequestLink above. nyuszika7h (talk) 11:44, 3 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    @Dinnypaul: plus Added to MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist. --Dirk Beetstra T C 03:45, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    @Beetstra: Thanks but there is one thing I don't understand I'm just curious why cant I add the url in their article infobox ?.
    The request was granted on 'yourstory.com/index.php' (I am not sure why you changed the request to the 'about' page, I have reverted that). I will add that link to the article. --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:16, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    Wait, this is all not necessary if the property is set on WikiData (as it is here). Inclusion of '{{official website}}' will then properly save (as has been done for the subject). That also does not need whitelisting. I am going to remove the index.php again. --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:20, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    @Beetstra: Well it seems I can't add '{{official website}}' in that article I mean it was added by another editor and its there now and I can't even edit the article without removing '{{official website}}' from its External Link section could you please try editing the article to see if your getting the same error thanks Dinnypaul (talk) 08:32, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    @Dinnypaul: I can edit the article just fine: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=YourStory&diff=737834040&oldid=737832873 --Dirk Beetstra T C 08:46, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    @Beetstra: I can edit the article now for some reason I couldn't earlier weird anyways thanks for helping have a nice day Dinnypaul (talk) 16:31, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

    Unblock source forum threads for CoinJoin

    The CoinJoin page discusses a technique for anonymoizing bitcoin transactions. The technique was developed and proposed on the bitcointalk.org forums, and the first WLRequestLink refers to the forum post containing its technical details and representing its "home page", more or less. The second WLRequestLink refers to a similar forum thread for JoinMarket, a prominent implementation of this proposed protocol. Note that I didn't add these links. They were already there, but I agree that they are relevant in this case and deserve to be whitelisted. MrNerdHair (talk) 14:24, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
