Garhi Pukhta is a town and a nagar panchayat in Shamli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India.

As of 2011 India census, Garhi Pukhta had a population of 35,804. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Garhi Pukhta has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 58%, and female literacy is 42%. In Garhi Pukhta, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Mr. Amir Alam Khan, who belongs to this town, has been elected as an M.L.A.[1][2][3]

Garhi Pukhta located 12 km from distt Shamli in north west direction and surrounded by nearly village Audri,Pelkha, purmaphi, bheswal, haripur, razhar, Kherki and Hasanpur.
