Holy shit! What a mess of wires!
They really shouldn't put train stations in the ROW's of highways that should've been built.
Replacing modern-looking stations with faux-nostalgic looking ones for the sake of doing so is stupid too.
An M8 being shipped through Ohio! Just one more benefit of being a railfan.
I don't really mind that this old train station shelter was preserved, but they really should replace the rotten wood.
Wow, the New York Connecting Railroad has one closed-off railroad crossing for 35th Road in Jackson Heights, Queens.

This subpage is my list of railroad-related projects both before and during my membership in Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains, and associated WikiProjects.

Let it be known that I refuse to recognize the recent campaign to eliminate railroad systems from station names over the excuse of unnecessary disambiguations, with the exceptions of most widely known terminals and hubs. In other words, the present state of WP:USSTATION can be damned to hell!

Images[edit]

Somehow I've been able to take the chance to capture various images of railroad stations, mostly on the east coast, and mostly Amtrak stations. For images of the Long Island Rail Road that I've captured, see My LIRR Images. For those I took related to the New York City Subway system, see My New York City Subway Images. And for those few in the Metro-North Railroad system, see My Metro-North Images. In the meantime, the pictures that I've taken of other stations are as follows;

Diffused the commons category for National Tramway Museum in Crich, Derbyshire, England.

During the period when it was removed in a December 2008 clean-up of the main Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains article, I added the "Recent changes in rail transport-related articles" to this subpage, not to claim it for myself, but simply to continue to use the guide to recent changes. The link was restored, but I kept the link to my subpage in the event of any similar mishaps, until March 7, 2020.

Commuter rail stations as possible former Amtrak stations[edit]

I've mentioned this before, but there are still a lot of commuter railroad stations that I've suspected might've been former Amtrak stations. For most, I've gained no answers about them, but after some struggle I was able to confirm that Attleboro (MBTA station) had been an Amtrak station before being turned over to MBTA. Nevertheless there are plenty of others that I'm suspicious about, and they include the following;

I've also wondered about some Metra and Metro-North Railroad stations. These should be examined, and the Former Amtrak stations categories should be added to all those articles. A helpful source for this has been the Museum of Railway Timetables website, but it hasn't answered everything.
