First, when you said that Sanders was nominated for the martial arts hall of fame, I thought it meant he was shortlisted. Now your article tells us that he was merely suggested by one person, and the reference provided, in addition to being the nominator's business site, doesn't even mention Mr. Sanders anywhere. Also, the Amazon.com reference only attests to the fact the book exists, and the fact some people have read it. The reviews are user-generated content, and as such they cannot be regarded as reliable for encyclopedic purposes. I was about to db this one myself, but after reading their "references" I think they barely meet notability requirements and I cleaned it up quite a bit. Hi, I obviously dont know how to email or talk to that Chase me ladies guy in the cavalry...lol...thats funny title! but i wanted to speak to him about the deletion of my social theory, and ask for advice on this work, as it is being used by 3 more authors since my publication and it is of great importance to note because scholars across canada are starting to use it. The preferred method of communication in Wikipedia is talk pages like this one. Most people here would frown at having to reveal their email addresses, and the vast majority will not honor requests to communicate via email.
Now to get your article kept by Wikipedia, you have to show that your social theory is not yours, but rather that it is a theory already getting enough scholarly attention to pass the guidelines for fringe theories. osCMax

Hi there,

I think you removed an article I posted regarding osCMax due to lack of software notarity?

I would say that osCMax has at least an equivalent notarity as 95% of the open source e-commerce packages already listed in Wikipedia (eg. ZenCart, Magento, osCommerce, etc.) I was hoping to list this software as your records are woefully incomplete and out of date.

I have tried to follow the exact layout as per PrestaShop and osCommerce in order to maintain a balanced record.

Can you let me know your objections - I saw 'Not Encyclopedic' and the lack of notarity.

Bells (musical instrument)

Hi, This is a work in progress. I am trying to create a valid entry for this instrument. There is little information on the web yet other than the manufactures website, several youtube videos of the instrument being played and numerous discussions on several forums. The nearest related instruments are the Halo and Hang. There is no wiki article on the Halo and I have specifically been asked by the BElls manufacturer to not reference the Hang.

The cited concern is notability, which means the problem is not the quality of the article, but rather its topic. If you say, there is little information on the web yet other than the manufactures website, several youtube videos of the instrument being played and numerous discussions on several forums, then that alone is reason enough why Wikipedia should not have an article on this instrument. Blanch, technically taken his death was added by an IP user and subsequently reverted. The IP user later added it again, stating the (main page) of calgarysun.com, and not a specific article. When searching, i cannot find any article regarding this subject, and seeing this is just a year old, i question if it was ever registered. In my eyes this is quite the WP:BLP issue though. BLP issue - user claiming to be article subject.

Hi moon,

I noticed you were editing, so i hope you don't mind if i ask your assistance with a BLP article and someone claiming to be the subject of the article? It seems we have an IP user claiming to be Jeffrey Caissie, and he requests that his page should be removed due to inaccuracies. Im not sure if it is true or not, but he complains about the death date, and about the name of his daughter (Incidentally the daughter would be his cat, and since he is talking he obviously never died). An IP added this information along with the mainpage of a newspaper, though i cannot seem to find the particular article, even though it should just be a year old. Seeing it is not being handled in the most "optimal" way so far, might i ask if you have some time for this? If you do, this is the talkpage with the discussion. How very bizarre is this? I guess when he found the vandalized article, he thought to just undermine it completely? In any event, it seems that the article is being cleaned up, and I've left him some potentially useful links. Thank you. It seems that the situation improved quite a bit during the time i was typing, but i is a good thing you left the user a short note. There is nothing like figuring out you are apparently being a corpse, and subsequently running in the problem that you have no clue as to how this should be undone. I have no clue if this was an attempt to delete the article, or if this was just vandalism utilizing the lack of a reliable source. Apparent vandalism

Thank you for pointing the issue with the article. The problem I saw was that the subject was requesting the deletion of the entire article on invalid grounds. Huggle gave me no way to see that the article was claiming that this person was dead, given where he wrote his comments. I have removed all user warnings from his talk page, and the dubious information as well.

As an aside, the article has a notability tag, but I think this person passes our notability guidelines, albeit barely. As for the offender, it is way too late to issue user warnings, especially given that the edits were anonymous. It seems to have been added a long time ago, so i think the article has an equal risk of being vandalized as any other BLP page. Requesting deletion of an entire page seems to be a common response people give when they see inaccurate information, and seeing the sourcing i figured i might as well try and look it up. On the first glance it looked like vandalism though, and the only reason why i presumed this might not be a vandal was his persistence on your talk page. English as first foreign language

Hello, I added one third party source in the External link with an article about the initiative ... There is also an article on attac.org but the site seems to be down for the moment. I replaced the goals with an achvements section. Now anyone can add to the article ... maybe I shouldn't be the only contributor ... Following my discussion with User:Nyttend I added a section about the relevence or importance of the subject and I changed a few more things. Then, As User:Nyttend told me I replaced the article when ready.

Followin my discussion with you User Talk:Blanchardb, I added an independent third source about the article which is a news website created and maintained by professional journalists, check it here : Europa 451 About us. I think calling it a "blog" is not accurate. I assume then that I have answered your requirement of an independent third party talking about the initiative. Besides, the initiative is remarkable in what it is trying to achieve and is already known by tens of development organizations. For the promotion issue, I've rewritten the article many times introducing many new angles on the the initiaitve including a "Critique" section and changing, as you required, the "Goals" section by an "Achievement" section. Although, I did not see what was wrong with the article informing about the goals of the initiative ? After all it is an article about the initiaitve, so if you don't know what are the initiative's goals, I don't know how you can have any idea about it.

I consider the notability and importance issues as addressed. You didn't add any specific concerns nor elements about why these issues are not answered. There is nothing promotional about the article, I checked every sentence and every statement is presented as a consideration of the initiative.

While it's true that I don't own Wikipedia, neither do you. The very fact your website is, well, yours, puts you in a conflict of interest when you insert external links to it. I am sorry to hear about how much you pay for your server, but that is not a valid reason for spamlinking. Lost money scam

Hi, while I do see that I might have selected the wrong speedy deletion criteria, this page is utterly ridiculous. Looking at the title, "Lost money scam", should raise red flags. Is this supposed to be a page about scams involving money?, because in that case there are the appropriate pages Confidence trick and Fraud. About the Tenchu article

I'm specifically speaking of the Characters of Tenchu article. I'm requesting for an approval of the declined speedy deletion. I've also seen you've made merger proposal tag. But what I'm planning is to disperse the contents of that article to each respective "videogame" articles (as it was already once merged on the Tenchu article). I was also the one who asked its move into its current location. I'm hoping you reconsider the deletion. What I see as a major issue in the Characters list is that it is largely unreferenced, and only by a primary source. If no third-party reliable sources can be found about characters other than the two mentioned in the main article, then I do not believe a list of characters would be notable enough to stand as a stand-alone list. The editor who initially asked that the characters list be deleted cited his inability to find the kind of sources that would ensure the article's survival. Hence, a merger and cleanup (deletion of detailled descriptions of minor characters) is in order per WP:SIZE. I'm sorry to have confused you with that note (I was the one who did that deletion request, I'm Logicartery). But let me try to change my words, I'll try looking for reliable sources and instead of editing the said article, I'll post the details and descriptions of the characters on each of their respective game articles (the list includes characters from different games in the series), hence the character list would be redundant which is why I'm requesting for the deletion. I also believe the list contains too much details which make it worse and I sure 'do not' promote fanaticism on that, more or less. I hope this clear things up. The reason I declined the speedy deletion request is that it was made under a criterion that no longer applies, since you are not the only significant contributor to the article. I converted your request into a proposed deletion, which is not subjected to that requirement. The proposed deletion was challenged by DGG (talk · contribs) on the grounds that some material (but not all) can be merged into the main article. I think I have settled this issue with user DGG ( talk ) who thought a merger might work. He stated it might be better to talk about certain characters in a centralized place specially if they recur or appear continuously on a sequel (or of that sort). En fait, ChildFund Alliance est un réseau créé par 12 associations dont ChildFund International qui sont toutes indépendantes et ce afin de coordonner leur action. L'article ChildFund correspond en fait à celui concernant ChildFund International, l'association des Etats-Unis. Il n'y a pas de subordination entre les différentes associations des différents pays, d'où l'utilité pour elles de créer une Alliance en 2002. Merci de m'avoir répondu en français. (2) Whatever the guideline says, in English Wikipedia everything should be comprehensible by all editors. James, that's just a guideline, this conversation isn't hurting anyone. Micozinho (the person who started this converstation) addressed Blanchard in french first because its probably the language they are most comfortable with, so by responding with the same Blanchard is simply being more helpful to the user, the conversation above is nothing secretive, its your standard "Why is my page nominated for deletion", "explanation" "response". I noticed that you reverted the article to a previous revision. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Century I'd be interested to know your rationale for that change. I understand that one or more of the external links added may have contravened policy, however the text changes added substantial background, detail and history to what is an otherwise short and inaccurate article. Deletion of Sekute

I'm not sure why its up for deletion when I took off the ™ symbol. I've explained the reasoning behind why I put the ™ there but as requested I removed it. You keep saying its a neologisms which is where I'm trying to hopefully get it to. For now its a Protologism. I have friends from all over the globe that use the word and I've received emails from people who came about it from the sekute tank tops and t-shirts I designed. I know this may not help but I also have it on my clothing line website. Anyway, I'm trying to spread the word and the meaning as much as possible. Lawyers as well as mine have advise me to use the ™ if Intentions to use it in commerce. I'm a fashion designer and created the word to complement my brand. I'm using it on upcoming product. So in hopes when others hear and see it, my brand will register as well.

The problem is not so much as to whether the article can be improved, but rather whether we even want an article on this subject. The thing is, we have no way of verifying that you are indeed the owner of the copyright, so by default we must assume that you are not. Additionally, please take a look at the other arguments for deletion that were brought up in the deletion discussion. I would direct you to where you can have copyright issues cleared (WP:OTRS), but I can see that it would be pointless, given that your contribution would inevitably end up being deleted over other concerns.
If you are indeed the owner of the brand, we can't take your word for it that the name "is catching on in a big way." You'd have to show, through non-trivial mentions in reliable third-party references (you know, the kind where you can't get anything changed without involving your attorney in the process) that it is indeed catching on. -- Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 23:39, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

Speedy Deletion of MNG Europe.

Seems you already have enough on your plate than to have my errors add to your growing list of things-to-do, my apologies for that. I am the co-owner of MNG Europe (Val Jelinic) and have utilised similar text on both the LinkedIn webpage for this attempt at our first Wikipedia page.

Our intention in adding an entry to Wikipedia is not for the purpose of commercial gain or advertising, it is to be an informative piece communicating who we are, where we came from and what we do. I've tried to be as commercially "sterile" as possible, and tried to remain factually focused but obviously I am still "infringing" upon some rules & regulations (and still learning about Wikipedia)

Actually, my recent block has generated less of an opposition than I expected, and I'm surprised that no one asked about the earlier block (clearly a mistake on the blocking admin's part, which he tried to undo himself). But this has been a learning experience, and I have already resumed editing the way I did before the RFA began. The only difference being that I have begun compiling statistics on my AfD participation, and I will start doing the same for SD's.

I'm okay with the community's decision. I think Dlohcierekim offered the best analysis of what happened: Candidates are then sometimes shocked at the stringency applied at RFA. What really happened was that when it comes to CSD's my "strike zone" was a bit too far away from what some perceived as the "official" strike zone, if you will allow an analogy with baseball umpires, who cannot be reasonably expected to have a strike zone that matches exactly the description in the rule book, and are instead expected to apply their self-defined strike zone as consistently as possible while being close enough to the rule book. To help me monitor my progress with the issues raised, I've created this, this, and this in my userspace, and I intend to have these statistics remain public. I've deleted it with the copyvio history, as you suggested, and recreated it as a redirect to Gülen movement, since Fethullah Gulen Movement is already a redirect to Gülen movement. However, there is no mention of Dialogslussen in the latter article, and that needs to be fixed, as a reader redirected needs to find something about what they are looking for in the article they arrive at.

Per WP:SCHOOL (a guideline which is put in practice even though it never became official), elementary schools are deemed unworthy of inclusion by default. Since the article did not state the name of the school district this school operates under, I had to redirect it to the city instead.

Greetings! I saw you declined my A1 on the above. I'm not even entirely sure I disagree. An A1 I tagged that article with a month or so ago was approved and the article was deleted, but it felt like a pretty big stretch/technicality at the time as it was.

The problem stated on the deletion tag is that the article is promotional, and blatantly so. It is obvious that the creator of the article (that is, you) wants to build a clientele for this newspaper, and therefore should refrain from editing editing the Wikipedia article on it.
Also, given that this newspaper is brand new, it might be too early for Wikipedia to cover it. The newspaper must be the topic of coverage in secondary sources if the article is to be kept. Please read Wikipedia's inclusion guidelines. If it is something you "want all Sri Lankan developers to know about," then the best time to start a Wikipedia article is when you can demonstrate that Sri Lankan developers already know about that something. Agreed, yet your statement it is not "publicised" is not objective at all. The Sri Lankan Government has infact sent out all those circulars (links provided in http://www.locallanguages.lk/node/95) and has already implemented them. You are under the impression that "Developers" do not know about the standard based on the google search results. Infact the standard is known but what most developers lack is a in dpeth knowledge of it. That is where I see this article helping. It is factual, and i really tried to write it in a manner that would be objective, and reflective of what the industry feedback has been (but severely muted to avoid sounding salesy). What was missing from your article is an assertion of importance, that is, why Wikipedia should cover your company or its products (see our inclusion guidelines for companies). The article only listed features of your product with no assertion that enough potential clients were already aware of its existence.

Jeffrey Street Kirribilli Australia

Hi I was the original author of the article Jeffrey Street which is in Kirribilli (where I live). I am also very new to WP as a contributor (and this was my first effort to author a page) so I hope that you will be nice to me as a newby. You put a delete on the page a few days ago, soon after the very first draft. Since your delete the page has been almost totally rewritten, and a lot of people have helped to edit etc. Can I please ask you to review and hopefully reconsider. The main concern that was raised in the deletion discussion was notability. That means it might not be possible to improve the article in a satisfactory manner (see WP:AKON) given that the problem is not the article itself but with its topic. The comment which I believe should be addressed first is this one: most of the references are about Kirribilli, New South Wales not Jeffrey St.
I'm from Montreal (well, its outer suburbs, actually). I took this picture of a major tunnel from a street called Rue de Boucherville. Does that mean Rue de Boucherville (or Boucherville Street) warrants an article? I don't think so. Or perhaps this picture, taken by me from Lasalle Boulevard, warrants an article on the latter? I don't think so either.
What you need to do is show that Jeffrey Street's notability is independent of that of Kirribilli, and independent of that of the bridge. You need to show that Jeffrey Street is notable on its own without being thought of as merely part of Kirribilli. Hi, thanks again for your comments and consideration, I have added new content specific to the street, and perhaps can now delete some references which are more general about the suburb. I have added some talk on the delete page about the problem with identifying the area versus the neighbouring suburbs. Two new areas of notability have been added, specifically the vehicle wharf (the main car wharf in Sydney prior to the construction of the harbour bridge) (at this time it was never called Kirribilli) and also the photos and references to old cottages.AWHS (talk) 13:35, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

I just received a speedily delete notice for "The Fifth Element (Musician)". It appears it is because it seems to be blatant advertising to you.

Basically, the fact you are writing an article about yourself puts you in a conflict of interest. I logged into internet and saw this message on the wikipedia page. For the sake of clarification, I didnot make any edits to the Vantage Point movie. I rarely make any edits anyways, having lost the appetite to do so.

No. These are not deletion tags. These templates may go the minute the issues are addressed. Also, the section about Ismaili Centres around the world shouldn't be included in the article about the one in London. You see, that's the problem. The only newpage patroller I know that checks for G12 compliance is a bot, CorenSearchBot (talk · contribs).
