King George III held numerous titles and honours, both during and before his time as monarch of the British Empire. Each is listed below; where two dates are shown, the first indicated the date of receiving the award or title, and the second indicates the date of its loss or renunciation.

In Great Britain, George III used the official style George the Third, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, and so forth" In 1801, when Great Britain united with Ireland, he took the opportunity to drop his claim to the French Throne. His style became, "George the Third, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King, Defender of the Faith.[2]

In Germany, he was Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Archtreasurer of the Holy Roman Empire and Elector until the end of the empire in 1806. He then continued as Duke until the Congress of Vienna declared him King of Hanover in 1814.[2]

In addition, from 1794 to 1796 he was recognised as 'King of Corsica' by the British-sponsored Corsican rebels; according to the 1794 Constitution of the Kingdom of Corsica.
