BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Karnataka, is being headed by Shri. P Muniraju Gowda. He took over the charge as president from Sunil Kumar Karkala in Sept 2013.

Organisation[edit]

BJYM is youth wing of BJP, a national party in India. The party has different wing supplementing the parent body. Yuva Morcha's responsibility is to motivate youths to participate in active politics. The party runs with philosophy of Integral humanism (India)Integral Humanism

Activities[edit]

Yuva morcha has been active in various activities across state.

Building Gorata Martyrs memorial

During Hyderabad accession to India, around 200 patriots were killed by Razakars in a tiny village Gorta in Bidar district. BJYM Karnataka is building a memorial in remembrance of Patriots who lost their lives.[1]

Protest against Rape incidents in Karnataka

In Karnataka, lots of rape incidents were reported. BJP Yuva Morcha, had done a state wide agitation insisting security for women [2]

Padayatra demanding water in suburban districts of Bengaluru

Bengaluru rural, Chikkaballapura and Kolar are adjoining districts of Bengaluru city. These districts are developing districts and projected to house premier CBD's in the days to come. Unfortunately the area suffers from acute water shortage. BJP Yuva Morcha, held a walkathon from Chikkaballapur to Bengaluru demanding a permanent water solution for these areas. The walkothon gained high popularity, farmers voluteerly joined making a crowd of around 6000 people. Unable to withstand the fact of people participation in large numbers the state goverment sabotaged the yatra by detaining the leaders leading the yatra.[3]

Yuva Chaitanya Yatre

India has in population a majority of Youths who can be an asset to the nation. But unfortunately the are succumbed to adictions which ruins their life. Yuva Chaitanya Yatra was carried out with three motives

  • Swachcha Bharat (Clean India campaign, called upon by Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India)
  • Nacrotics free karnataka
  • Spreading Swami Vivekananda's message amongst the youth

The yatra travelled across 14 district covering 1153 KMS in 7 days.
