Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to Education. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page and see the to-do list there.

For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProjects and Wikipedia:WikiProject best practices.

Long term goals could include developing Education content for Wikipedia:Sister projects and further development of the Portal:Education to help make the use of Wikipedia more useful for ecucators. Goals

  1. Identify articles for improvement, and improve them
  2. Identify articles needing to be started, and start them

Projects

  1. Coordinate with m:Wikiversity (on Meta; also on Wikibooks)
  2. Coordinate with Wikipedia:School and university projects
  3. ...

Tasks

  1. Work on all these stubs!
  2. Identify articles related to Education and add them to Category:Education (or one of its subcategories) and to our related articles page so that they can be sorted and evaluated.
  3. Adopt an article from the list (see below). This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.
  4. Some articles in this project have a need for improvement in worldwide view. International input is needed.

Focus articles

These articles have been selected as having top priority for development by this WikiProject.

  1. Pedagogy,
  2. Learning,
  3. Lifelong learning,

Adopt an article

Note: These articles were given a quick review and put on one list only. Many of them may be on the wrong list or belong on multiple lists. If you would like to make a change, make a suggestion.
