- Garoadwarrior. I am the former webmaster of now-defunct Peach State Roads. I researched the highway system in depth from 1946 to present and have a complete knowledge of every highway of former and current routes. I also have information going back to the original 1921 highway system. I cover the entire state, though I am decidedly stronger in North Georgia. I use extensive mapping with aerials and other sources to identify current and former routes and also am a GIS professional. My previous project was a huge research project with extensive scanning and documentation that stalled and was incomplete in 2008, so I would like to carry this over to Wikipedia.
- Katiedert in Seattle, Washington. I grew up in Georgia, and have a particular love for Middle Georgia. I'm hoping I can get some folks working on Middle Georgia-themed articles. I'll make a descendant project for Middle Georgia if ther'es interest and it's appropriate. I'll also try to clean up this page some.

Images
WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state) uses Category:Georgia (U.S. state) articles needing images to monitor all Georgia articles needing images. In addition, Wikipedian photographers living in Georgia use the subcategories at Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Georgia (U.S. state) to locate those subjects near where they typically take photographs. The "imageneeded=" and "in=" parameters of {{WikiProject GeorgiaUS}} populate both these categories.
- To request an image for an article, use the "imageneeded=yes" parameter in the {{WikiProject GeorgiaUS}} article talk page template. Please use the "in=" parameter in the {{WikiProject GeorgiaUS}} template to specify the Georgia county where the photograph may be taken. Up to three locations may be specified, such as {{WikiProject GeorgiaUS|class=Start|importance=Low|imageneeded=yes|in=Fulton County, Georgia|in2=Putnam County, Georgia|in3=Taliaferro County, Georgia|nested=|unref=yes}}
- If you need to specify four or more locations (such as a road passing through eight Georgia counties), use {{reqphoto}} and its multiple "in=" parameters.

Task Forces and Work Groups
Task forces are meant to provide centralized information and discussion for topics that have a sufficiently large scope. The advantages of establishing a new group as a task force or work group within an existing project are that generally, task forces require fewer members to be effective and do not have the same degree of required project maintenance, as much of that is taken on by the parent project.
Current work groups
The currently organized task forces are:
- Georgia Education Task Force - This task force focuses on Georgia's educational articles to include colleges, universities, high schools, Georgia Board of Regents, local boards of education and other related articles.
Proposed work groups
Several new task forces have been proposed. The purpose of this section is to guage user interest in each of these areas of the project before putting a lot of effort into creating a detailed project page. If you're interested in any of the projects listed here, simply add your name to the appropriate list and start contributing to the relevant articles.

Proposing a Work Group or Task Force
If you would like to set up a new group specifically to function as a task force of this project, please list it in the Proposed Projects section above as this area is used to gauge support for potential task forces. Please write a brief description (including links to the related Wikipedia articles), and add it along with your name to the list below (in alphabetical order by topic). Some boilerplate you can use:
==== Name of work group==== ; Description : [description here] ; Interested Wikipedians (please add your name) # [your name here] ; Comments
If your proposal gains support from 5-10 active Wikipedians, it could probably benefit the WikiProject as a Task Force or Work Group. If you want to start a page before you have 5-10 active Wikipedians, consider setting up the page on a subpage of your user page until it is active, while leaving the posting here with a link to the user page.
