Cut-and-paste move

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Rele Gallery a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Rele Art Gallery. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Yemisi Aribisala, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New Yorker (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:27, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Blacklisted domain.

Hi, Igwatala thank you for your effort in improving coverage of African topics on Wikipedia and other areas in general. This is to notify you I have removed one of the two sources you added with content in Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai's article. This is because \.wordpress\.com domain is blacklisted both locally and globally on Meta. If you think the link is very important and there's no alternative, you can request for the specific link to be whitelisted here. –Ammarpad (talk) 15:42, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Adenrele Sonariwo

Hello, Igwatala,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Adenrele Sonariwo should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Adenrele Sonariwo .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

Invitation to participate in study

Hello,

I am E. Whittaker, an intern working with the Scoring Team to create a labeled dataset, and potentially a tool, to help editors deal with incivility when they encounter it on talk pages. We are currently recruiting editors to be interviewed about their experiences with incivility on talk pages. Would you be interested in being interviewed? The interviews should take ~1 hour, and will be conducted over BlueJeans (which does allow interviews to be recorded). If, so, please reply to this message or email me at ewhit@umich.edu in order to schedule an interview. .

Your draft article, Draft:Bookcraft Limited

Hello, Igwatala. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Bookcraft Limited".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Sam Sailor 09:34, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Victor Ehikhamenor chronological order

Please stop changing Victor Ehikhamenor to be in reverse chronological order. MOS:BIO says "In general, present a biography in chronological order, from birth to death, except where there is good reason to do otherwise. Within a single section, events should almost always be in chronological order." and MOS:WORKS says "Items should normally be listed in chronological order of production, earliest first.". -Lopifalko (talk) 17:08, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Shade Thomas-Fahm moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Shade Thomas-Fahm, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Next time you move an article from main space to Draft space, could you tag the original page for speedy deletion, CSD R2? It would help admins who patrol speedy deletion categories. Thank you! Liz Read! Talk! 02:21, 3 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Taiwo Akinlami

Hello Igwatala,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Taiwo Akinlami for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Hello, Igwatala. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Union of Campus Journalists".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 00:25, 14 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Olatubosun Records has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

In its current state this articles fail WP:CORP notability guidelines for companies. It needs to be rewritten and referenced to establish notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Vasemmistolainen (talk) 15:39, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your recent edits. Unfortunately the article you just created on Olatubosun Records does not establish notability. It needs to be rewritten, and have adequate referencing, otherwise it is at risk of deletion. I've merged the content into Olatubosun Oladapo and have launched a PROD which gives you a week to improve the article. Anyway thanks again for your edits. Vasemmistolainen (talk) 15:45, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Olatubosun Records requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. – dudhhr talk contribs (he/they) 15:52, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Ifeoma Fafunwa

Hello Igwatala,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Ifeoma Fafunwa for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Ifeoma Fafunwa to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:36, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
