    TOC right problem

There seems to be an issue with {{TOC right}} with a few disambiguation pages, such as Gladstone (disambiguation). In the browser I'm using, it looks as if {{clear}} has been added, so instead of flowing to the left of the TOC entries appear directly below it, and thus there is a large block of white to the left of the TOC instead. This could be a skin issue.--Nevéselbert 07:13, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Looks fine to me on Firefox, Edge and Chrome. Vector skin. - X201 (talk) 07:46, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Using the Monobook skin, and I am having this problem in Edge and IE11. Chrome is fine though.--Nevéselbert 07:48, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Looks fine to me in MonoBook in Edge and IE11. PrimeHunter (talk) 10:03, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's probably a resolution issue then. @PrimeHunter: Does it still look fine if you decrease the size of the window? You might want to ⊞ Win+.--Nevéselbert 13:29, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Window size didn't affect me but I found other circumstances where it happened. I used {{Stack}} in [1] and don't see the issue now. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:55, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've not heard of problems with Edge browser before, but IE users often get poor results with TOC right. Unfortunately, I understand that is an inherent defect of that browser and it's not surprising that Edge shares the same defect. However, the proper placement of the TOC is at the end of the lead section immediately above the first section heading per WP:LEADORDER. Placing it elsewhere can cause persons using screen readers to not be able to easily access some content. olderwiser 16:53, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Need Help to go Live with Change of User Name

Hello I created an Article / Please guide me to go live.

Gopalan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Avaikalam (talkcontribs) 07:58, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gopalan. Since you created B.Sivakumar in the main article space, it is live, and anybody in the world can see it; but it will not be indexed by search engines until it has been reviewed, or ninety days have passed.
However, I must tell you that at present, it would fail review, and is at risk of being deleted, because none of the information is cited to reliable sources. You have included only one reference; and though that one looks like a reliable source, it says almost nothing about Sivakumar (one short paragraph), being mostly about the film. Please understand that because Wikipedia may be edited by anybody at all, information in it is, in a sense, worthless, unless it is cited to a reliable source. Information that you know, or that I know, or that any random person on the Internet knows, is not of interest to Wikipedia: it requires verifiability. It may well be that Sivakumar is notable (in Wikipedia's special sense), and so that the article may be saved; but you need to demonstrate that by extensive sourcing. I suggest you read Your first article, and it will probably be a good idea to move the article to draft space so that you (or others) can work on it and get it up to a satisfactory standard. --ColinFine (talk) 15:55, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How to change page title - European Landowners' Organization

    Good morning,

I'm trying to change the title of our Wikipedia page, specifically the word Organisation, to be "Organization", with Z.

I've already tried to do it through the advance options without success. Could you please give me a hand?

Thanks a lot in advance. Here is the link to our page:

ELOBrussels. Please review our policies on Conflict of interest and Paid editing. You should not be editing that article at all, and you should understand that Wikipedia has essentially no interest in what the ELO says or wishes to say about itself: it is only interested in what people who have no connection with the organisation have published about it. --ColinFine (talk) 16:01, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

how to influence/determine the width of a column?

see here e.g.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_painters . "dates" should be broader, "notes" could be smaller... thanx! --HilmarHansWerner (talk) 11:40, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Columns are as wide as the longest cell content. If you want narrower cells, use shorter content. Several long items are bare urls which should probably be made into proper references. See Help:Tables#Setting column widths for other ways of controlling table column width.

    Template parameter usage?

I'm proposing a change to a fairly widely-used template, which would probably involve removing an existing parameter (because the template uses Template:Infobox, which has a limited number of fields in certain positions.) Is there a good way for me to check if any pages actually use that parameter, without checking them all by hand? I guess I could add a category for it, but that seems like overkill if there's any other way. TSP (talk) 15:45, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A search with hastemplate and insource at mw:Help:CirrusSearch may work but I cannot examine your case when you conceal the specifics. PrimeHunter (talk) 16:01, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The template is Template:Infobox residential college; I'd like to replace 'Type' with 'University' as subheader2 immediately below the college name, so would I'd like to know if 'Type' is used much at the moment. I've found a few instances but would like to be comprehensive.
I have since realised that I can just add a subheader3, which avoids the problem somewhat; though I'd prefer to avoid multiplying the number of things that can appear in this position to avoid confusion. TSP (talk) 16:07, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
hastemplate:"Infobox residential college" insource:/\| *type *=/ isn't perfect but may be sufficient for your purpose. PrimeHunter (talk) 17:02, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Problem with editing article.

Hi, my name is John McKnight, historian for the Church of God by Faith, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_of_God_by_Faith

I tried to edit this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catechism about catechisms in Pentecostalism. You will see my edits to include the 1931 Catechism in the Church of God by Faith. I had trouble posting the citation. The information is found in the book, "Vision 1920,A Book of Facts" published in 2017 by myself John McKnight. The ISBN number is 978-16413687-7.

Wikipedia:Citing sources give guidance on how to cite sources correctly. Aspro (talk) 18:14, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
But please read about conflict of interest, John McKnight, to understand why you should not be editing that article directly, and preferably not citing your own book. Please understand that, as with any subject, Wikipedia has essentially no interest in what the Church or its adherents or officers say about it, but only in what people who have no connection with the subject have published about it in reliable places (such as major newspapers, or books from reputable publishers). --ColinFine (talk) 16:40, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    15th Century illustration

Hi, the illustration here is part of discussion at Giovanni Fontana (engineer), clearly basically CC0, however the people who provide the illustration published it under CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 DE. It is unclear if this still fits into public domain or another license. prokaryotes (talk) 18:03, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Should I upload it to commons or better Wikipedia instead? prokaryotes (talk) 19:44, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
If I believe Sweat_of_the_brow#Germany (which is certainly not a good basis for legal advice), digitalization creates a new copyright in Germany (at least under certain conditions which may or may not apply). So I would suggest to upload it on Wikipedia only, and tag it with PD-art-US. TigraanClick here to contact me 11:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Updating existing image jpg/png fails

Getting the error: File extension ".png" does not match the detected MIME type of the file (image/jpeg). however, either the png or jpg version, yield the same error when trying to update this image https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Arctic-death-spiral.png with this newer version https://haveland.com/share/arctic-death-spiral.jpg prokaryotes (talk) 21:14, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you are trying to upload a jpg, it's not an update to the existing png file but a new file with the jpg extension. --David Biddulph (talk) 21:57, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    I've tried a png and jpg with a new version. prokaryotes (talk) 22:00, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what you mean and what you know about image file types. jpg and png are different image formats and not compatible. The file extension (e.g .jpg or .png) at the end of the file name should say which image format the file has. If you want to upload a jpg file then you cannot use "Upload a new version of this file" on an existing png file. You have to upload the jpg file to a seperate file page with a jpg name. If you want to use "Upload a new version of this file" on commons:File:Arctic-death-spiral.png then the file you upload must both have a png name and be in the png image format. Renaming https://haveland.com/share/arctic-death-spiral.jpg to .png is not enough. The file content must also be converted to the png format. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:32, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've resolved this when changing the image to png format. prokaryotes (talk) 22:40, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Article subject wants info removed

The most recent edit of Tracy Bonham removes the name of her husband, an executive editor at Rolling Stone, supposedly at Bonham's request. The fact of their marriage has been reported, based on a quick search, in the New York Times, the Scotsman, and on NPR. Would I be correct in reverting this edit, or do we leave these types of personal details out for living people (her husband does not have a wikipedia article]]? Leschnei (talk) 00:16, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, it's already been reverted. That answers my question! Leschnei (talk) 00:34, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry Leschnei that was me and forgot to write here. It is properly referenced information and we shouldn't remove stuff just because the person who the article is about wants it gone unless it is controversial so I reverted the edit. NZFC(talk) 00:37, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, now I know what to do in a similar situation. I was just not sure if there was any difference in how we handle personal information for living vs deceased people. Leschnei (talk) 12:15, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Some images not being displayed

I'm not sure if this is a problem for the whole community or just me. Yesterday I noticed that some (not all) images were not being displayed, and today those same images are still not being displayed. When I have clicked on the file name on the front page for instance I go onto https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page#/media/File:Marit_Larsen_and_Marion_Raven.jpg (which says "Sorry, the file cannot be displayed. There seems to be a technical issue..." It goes onto say that I can report the issue on Wikimedia Phabricator...is this only my issue or do other editors have the same problem? SethWhales talk 07:15, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Seth Whales, the image opens for me. It could be a temporary issue. Try force reloading the page, or try some other browser. Thanks. Lourdes 09:33, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Lourdes. I tried Internet Explorer and that works fine, with no issues, thank you. However, I always use Chrome, so how can I "force reloading the page"? I have cleared the cache, is that the same thing? Maybe you can explain...thanks. SethWhales talk 10:05, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Normally, you can press <ctrl>+R (or <command>+R in case of Mac) for reloading. I've opened the image in Chrome also and I find no issues in the image opening. Why don't you try downloading the latest version of Chrome and try again viewing the image? Thanks. Lourdes 10:41, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Lourdes. Using <ctrl>+R seems to have just about cured it. It comes back every now and then but I use <ctrl>+R again and then it's fine. I have copied this Q&A into my Talk page for future reference (just in case I forget). Thank you. SethWhales talk 11:41, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How can I remove unwanted apps on Wikipedia on Samsung j6 2016.

Sorry, don't understand your question. As far as I know, there is only one Wikipedia App, and you can remove that from an Android phone the way you can remove any other App. In any case, WP:VPT would be a better place to ask this sort of question. --ColinFine (talk) 16:43, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Rittenhouse

I have learned that the Rittenhouse family of Philadelphia, PA were robbed of their inheritance and title. William and Blanche Rittenhouse left the title to their son George John Ley who was in the US Navy at the time. CO George John Ley, PT 104 and while serving his duty protecting America and allies, he was robbed of his title. Between Philadelphia, Ohio and General Eisenhower he lost through their theft his title. Its not over 'til the fat lady sings so to speak.

Are you talking about William Rittenhouse? Is there documentary evidence to show this? To add any information of this sort to the article, the matter would have to be cited to a reliable source. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:13, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Probably not that William Rittenhouse, Cwmhiraeth, as he flourished in the 17th century, whereas our OP's rather opaque wording is suggestive of the 20th.
OP, if you want us to be able to comment or act usefully, you need to give us a link to a Wikipedia article relevant to your concerns, and explain more fully – what do you mean by "title", for example? If this matter is not relevant to an existing Wikipedia article, then we probably can't help. {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.202.208.54 (talk) 17:04, 26 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It should not be used for any other purpose, although experienced editors are given a little bit of leeway if the primary purpose of their user page is as I have described above. @Francesca.ricotta: In addition to what Rudolf has said, it might be best if you did not try to create directly in the article space if it is your first attempt at an article. Hi, on the article talk page should be a list of Wikiprojects connected to the article's subject. The stub rating should have sentence next to it with a link to the Wikiprojects quality scale where it should give a brief explanation of what is required of the article for each quality rating. If you want to link to any specific pages, I would be happy to help further. Kosack (talk) 08:28, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Bingobro: I've reassessed both pages as start class as they both have some issues that need to be fixed before moving any further up the scale. I've tagged the articles with the most obvious issues to be addressed. Kosack (talk) 12:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and maybe in a month or so they may be ready to be moved up. Bingobro (Chat) 12:39, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Both articles may need some expanding before moving any further, particularly Sonari which has a prose size of slightly over 1500B. That's rather low for an article to be considered C-class or above I would say. Kosack (talk) 13:15, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Bingobro. Any editor can reclassify an article from stub class to start class. A stub is defined as an article "deemed too short to provide encyclopedic coverage of a subject." If the article has grown significantly, go ahead and upgrade it without hesitation. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 03:26, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I received an email from Wikipedia claiming that someone had requested a password reset. The email mentioned my user name correctly, but the IP address given is not mine. Does this mean that someone is trying to take over my account? If so, is there anything I should do about it? BronHiggs (talk) 08:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

BronHiggs hello. If you have a strong password, ignore the message. On the side of caution, you may consider changing your password. You can read Wikipedia:User account security for more information. Thanks. Lourdes 08:59, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You should also ensure that your e-mail address has not been compromised. (Don't worry, it probably hasn't, but just be aware of the possibility.) Dbfirs 10:13, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Getting the Mobile watchlist results on non-mobile version and vice versa.

The mobile version of Wikipedia has a watchlist results that show all changes to an article rather than just he most recent one. Is there any way to get that from en.wikipedia.org without going to en.m.wikipedia.org. Conversely is there anyway to see the en.wikipedia type results (only the most recent change for each article) on en.m.wikipedia.org without going to en.wikipedia.org on my mobile device?Naraht (talk) 11:32, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In the desktop site you can enable "Expand watchlist to show all changes, not just the most recent" at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-watchlist. PrimeHunter (talk) 11:40, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And can I do the reverse on the mobile site?Naraht (talk) 11:43, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think so but I rarely use the mobile site and never its watchlist. PrimeHunter (talk) 11:57, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Where can I get help with tables?

I am working on an article on Mustang District. I have some tables, and I have the data for more tables. But, I am afraid I need some help to format those tables. Where can I go and ask for some help? Aditya(talkcontribs) 15:30, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there is a brief tutorial for building tables available HERE. If you want a more detailed explanation you can go to Help:Table which goes into further detail and other users will be able to help with any questions on the talk page. Hope this helps. R from Future Name

Do we have a template for a redirect from a future name that has been confirmed by reliable sources, but has not yet gone into effect? I recently created Justice High School as a redirect to J.E.B. Stuart High School as that will be the new name by Fall of 2019, but as the name change has not yet gone into effect, it should remain at its current location for now. We have a template for R from old name, but as far as I can tell, we don't have a template R from future name. I don't have enough template knowledge to create one, but if someone else wants to, and we don't already have one that I'm missing, that would be great. Smartyllama (talk) 15:57, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would get too little usage. You can just use {{R from alternative name}}. PrimeHunter (talk) 16:11, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Common names" headline in Bothrops asper?

This format seems a little bit weird and uncommon, is this within guidelines of some themed articles (like animals)?--fireattack (talk) 17:36, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The article is fairly comprehensive for a species account. It is perhaps unusual to have a section devoted to common names, but not exceptional. Other articles in the Bothrops genus also have this section heading. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:48, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not talking about the section, but the first line ahead of the whole article:
    Common names: fer-de-lance,[1] terciopelo,-fireattack (talk) 18:34, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've never seen that before, although in trying to answer your question, I discovered that the same format has appeared in Pituophis catenifer since at least 2009. Instead, I'd advocate what's done at Acer saccharum — give the binomial and then say (commonname 1, commonname 2) or (commonly known as commonname1, commonname2). Nyttend (talk) 22:04, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I understand what you are referring to, I agree with Nyttend. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:40, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    deactivate

my ex signed up for this and I want to deactivate this page so I may register myself and be free of all the crazy that was put here — Preceding unsigned comment added by TorontoHistoricalSociety (talkcontribs)

Hello, TorontoHistoricalSociety. It sounds like you've just broken upL my sympathies. But I'm not quite sure what you're asking. The account you are currently using is not acceptable for two reasons: first, because shared accounts are not permitted; secondly, because account names which appear to represent an organisation are not permitted. If you wish to carry on editing Wikipedia, I suggest you create a new account which is personal to you (it does not have to be your real name: I use mine, but many users do not). Does that answer your question? --ColinFine (talk) 22:57, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can register a new account without any need to deactivate the original account. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:44, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
... but in any case the previous account has been blocked as an unacceptable username. --David Biddulph (talk) 09:14, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Where's the guideline on recognizing national sovereignty?

Noticing the flurry today of replacements of "Spain" with "Catalonia" and subsequent reversions (e.g., relocating Urgell from Spain to Catalonia and back in the article on Andorra), I was trying to figure out where the guidelines are on what Wikipedia recognizes as independent/sovereign nations or, perhaps to put it another way, what Wikipedia considers to be the highest-level political entity to which a location belongs. Can someone point me to the right place? Largoplazo (talk) 23:27, 27 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Largoplazo hello. This is an atypical issue that should be resolved on the respective talk pages. However, in my experience, political issues that are fanatically and aggressively edited by both sides, most often finally reach the RFC stage, and post that (when it hits the ceiling) ARBCOM. The next few days would provide clarity on where Catalonia actually stands (in my opinion, it would be back with Spain). And editors should take it easy till then. I know this might not be the answer you expected; but hopefully someone else would add to my statements here. Warmly. Lourdes 05:11, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Largoplazo, right now there's a discussion at WP:AN about imposing restrictions on this kind of editing: not restrictions on people like you who are being helpful, but restrictions on people persistently making such edits and making it easier to revert the one-time replacements. This is commonly done in such disputes, simply because they're basically intractable as far as preventing online disruption, and they don't go away quickly; we've had this kind of thing on Indo-Pakistani relations and Israel/Palestinians for a good while, if I remember rightly. Article doesnt appear in google search

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arpita_Mukherjee_(singer) This article reviewed 2 days back. We cant get this article on google search. Please help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Juwais (talkcontribs) 05:03, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Juwais. While you can submit websites to Google for indexing, Wikipedia is not Google, and we cannot control their search results. Thanks. Lourdes 05:17, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Juwais: Hello, the article has been reviewed, but there is a message at your talk page in respect of copy violations. These may seem quite minor and in some cases it may not be possible to change the wording a great deal but this is something you must address quickly or the page could be deleted. If you have difficulty with this please discuss it with the editor who reviewed the page. You will find their details at your own TP. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 05:47, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Eagleash, the reviewer marked this article as unreviewed because the copyright violation. The reviewet notify me to fix that And i corrected the problem. then the reviewer re review this article.
@Juwais: Then I'm afraid that, as Lourdes suggests, it is in the hands of Google. Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 06:28, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Your alerts

Next to my name on the top line is an icon for 'Your alerts'. How to you send an alert to an individual. Anthony Staunton (talk) 05:42, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Anthony Staunton: You can contact another editor by leaving a message at their talk page or by WP:PINGing them as I have done here. 'Alerts' are to notify you of actions performed by editors at a page where you may have an interest, E.g. if an edit of yours is reverted, and are typically generated automatically, where appropriate, by the software. Eagleash (talk) 05:55, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Anthony Staunton. As mentioned by Eagleash, broadly, you can alert any individual by using templates like {{u|Anthony Staunton}}. Wikipedia alerts contains more details of what kind of events trigger alerts. Warmly. Lourdes 06:06, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have totally stuffed up when adding a picture file into an info box - on this page. Please fix if able. Thanks 101.182.88.116 (talk) 05:47, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

     Fixed. Eagleash (talk) 06:01, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I guess I have to wonder whether Wikipedia may legitimately use that image. According to the summary information, the image came from http://www.kiplingsociety.co.uk/rg_nativeborn1.htm; author is unknown; the date is 1 January 1907 (where did that come from?). At the bottom of the source page is this: "© Philip Holberton 2016 All rights reserved".

I really know squat about copyrights and what is and what is not allowed on en.wiki so perhaps this usage is ok. But if it's not ...

    Trappist the monk (talk) 10:44, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Trappist the monk and 101.182.88.116:, I'm fairly certain that the copyright assertion applies to the text on the page and not to the images. Bell, after all, died in 1911 so any photograph of him was certainly not made in 2016. A Google Image reverse search finds this very similar image but cropped and sized differently. It is likely that both were scanned from a printed image, perhaps from [2]. Assuming the image was created in 1907, United Kingdom copyright applies for 70 years from creation for works by an unknown creator (1977). If the creator of the photograph can be found out, then their copyright would run out in life + 70 years. As long as the photographer died before 1947 (probable), we should be fine. That's not legal advice, of course. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:01, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot work out with ref number 13 who the publisher is. Please help. Leave in quote please. Thank you very much 101.182.88.116 (talk) 07:04, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The publisher is not "2017", nor is the publisher for ref 12 "1968 (page 48)", nor is the publisher for ref 15 "28 November 2010", nor for ref 16 "1963 - Page 5", nor for ref 17 "1959 - Page 12". Please reply to the question asked of you at User talk:Srbernadette#Which language?, which has remained unanswered for 2 months. --David Biddulph (talk) 07:26, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I am sorry if I keep making mistakes. Many of my edits - I feel at the time - are correct but then I read that David thinks that I do not even speak English and I lose all of my confidence. If you all feel that ref number 15 is OK on this page - then that is good. I am always nervous doing this - sorry again - please be patient; I am better than I was 4 years ago. 101.182.88.116 (talk) 07:48, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No, reference 15 is not correct. "2017" is not the publisher. To keep the English simple for you, if you don't understand what goes in the publisher parameter of a citation, please leave it blank. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:03, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe I used the wrong template; I almost always use the "news" template, not the "book", "journal" or "web" templates. I swear to you that I put the name of the publisher in the publisher bit - and I usually put the page number there as well. I honestly do not know how to fix it (and any others that are wrong) . Sorry again. 101.182.88.116 (talk) 10:01, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's not a question of using the wrong template. Yes, you usually put the page number there, but why? The place for that is the page parameter, not the publisher parameter. Similarly the place for the date is in the date parameter, not the publisher parameter. I don't know why for 4 years you have found it difficult to understand, hence my question as to whether you would understand better in another language. --David Biddulph (talk) 10:29, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Publishing a Wikipedia page

    Hi everyone,

I've created my wikipedia page, added all relevant links, photos, headings, contents etc. What is the process of it going from a draft to a published page? What do I need to do?

    Thanks!

Adding a picture to an infobox

    Hi,

My picture was removed from a draft page that was in the infobox because it was not copyrighted and now I am trying to add a new one that is copyrighted but it is not coming up. Can you please tell me what I am doing wrong?

    Thank you
