The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1128460896#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

Notice to everyone about our Reliable sources and External links noticeboards

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

Proposed additions to Whitelist (web pages to unblock)

    xclicker.xyz

Official website of the XClicker software. If possible, whitelist the whole domain.

    •  Not done Article for XClicker doesn't exist yet; if the draft is ever accepted, we can whitelist at that point. OhNoitsJamie Talk 00:54, 13 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

    Vanity Teen

I want to use this article as reference for pH-1 (rapper). It is an interview with the rapper and provides information on his early life and career. Suhaengpyeongga=수행평가 (talk) 02:23, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

    Smashing Interviews

I am researching and expanding the album article Synthesis. Came across this online magazine's interview of the band's singer, in which the singer provides an update on the background/development of this album, plus information on her process and other projects, making it a useful source as well for her WP article Amy Lee and her song "Speak to Me", which is discussed in the interview. I found two prior discussions here on this website: 1, 2. Lapadite (talk) 09:26, 12 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

    Breitbart News

The link has been added (but not whitelisted) as one of the sources for the following statement in the Breitbart News article:

Breitbart News has published several articles accusing the English Wikipedia of having a left-wing and liberal bias, including headlines such as "Five of the best examples of left-wing bias on Wikipedia in 2017".

I'm drafting an article on a musician (User:Invisiboy42293/Addison Grace) and the above is their official website (near as I can tell no alternative is available, outside of social media and streaming pages). I would like to include it in the article's infobox and in the External Links section, as per normal with musician articles, but obviously because of the .xyz the spam filter keeps blocking it. Can this site be whitelisted?--Invisiboy42293 (talk) 00:50, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

    • Link requested to be whitelisted: theafterlight.xyz

Official website of The Afterlight (2021 film); I wish to add {{Official website|https://theafterlight.xyz/}} to the external links section. Confirmed as the official website in an article by the British Film Institute here. I believe it is especially relevant as it lists all upcoming screenings of said film (only a single copy of the film exists so that every time the film is screened it gradually erodes until eventually diminishing entirely). Kickstarter external link on Paint Drying

    • Link requested to be whitelisted: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/charlielyne/make-the-censors-watch-paint-drying

Kickstarter URL. I believe the article in question—Paint Drying—makes it clear what relevance this external link holds to the article. tl;dr is that the filmmaker opened a Kickstarter campaign in order to increase his film's length by as much as possible so that he could pay for the BBFC to give an age classification to his film, thus legally requiring the BBFC examiners to watch all ten hours. It raised £5,936 from 686 backers. The article refers to this campaign quite a few times, including in the lead. Almost all of the sources on the article include the Kickstarter campaign, showing its notability. Anyways, the Kickstarter website for the film also includes an updates section from the filmmaker, which includes information not covered by RS sources and thus not mentioned in the article; perhaps this could benefit readers looking to find out more? Thanks, and have a fantastic day editing, 𓃦LunaEatsTuna (💬) 23:29, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
