The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1153102181#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

Admins: Use seth's tool to search the spamlists.

Notice to everyone about our Reliable sources and External links noticeboards

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

I would like this link to be whitelisted for use on Draft:Instrument 1. The link is to an article published by Kickstarter on the success of the Instrument 1's campaign. This article would be very beneficial for statistics and more information for the draft's "Release" section, as well as the "background" section. Hello, I need this link to be whitelisted for the East of Eden article. It contains an exclusive interview with vital information related to the article’s background and composition section. The website is in good condition, and is a reliable source. Let me know when the decision is made as soon as possible, thanks.

I'm requesting for this link to be whitelisted for the KevJumba article. Originally linked m0nk.xyz as it had more information than the linked Audius of KevJumba/Kevin Wu's playlist of his music under cyber muse, however info from his YouTube brought me to m0nk.xyz mentioning another artist (Marekolani) along with Wu who created the album art that is also used when he uploaded his songs created with zooty, produced by Jonum on his YouTube channel. I wanted to use m0nk.xyz to show that information and give credit but I was not able to locate this information otherwise. The site is created by Wu with him creating the blurb on the site crediting another person beside himself making the album art. I'm not seeing what exactly is causing this site specifically be blacklisted because of it being an .xyz site and does not seem harmful. What is linked now was a temporary solution until I can get more guidance. Thank you. XSAL (talk) 14:03, 26 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Page to be whitelisted for Funeral for Yesterday. Review/reviews that would be helpful to define genres, reviews and coverage of the article. About.com is defunct, archive only. Also since this is an original review (not with the issues pertaining to copy/paste stuff on other pages) this should be fine. There's several other reviews/interviews (though i will not use news for the issues ive said above; it would be more risky) that would be useful on other Kittie-related pages from 2006 to 2013 or so if this goes through then i'd submit more here. Chchcheckit (talk) 16:57, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

so if this isn't clear: would like to use this for reviews/interviews of the band Kittie exclusively, i.e. this url. I do not request a general url whitelist on heavymetal.about.com. Also author (Chad Bowar) appears to be relatively reputable and has worked with other publications i.e. loudwire and metal injection Chchcheckit (talk) 17:00, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm requesting this link to be whitelisted for the Ethel Cain article. This page is the only source where we can find evidence for a physical release of her album Colossus. I'd like to add this link as a source to her discography table.

    Thank you.

Attempting to update the source details for File:OnlyFans logo.svg as required by policy, and unable to do so because of a blacklist entry. Not sure if it's possibly to just whitelist this specific file for these links, or just these specific URLs, but whichever makes it possible for me to include the source for the image would be ideal. —Locke Coletc 08:26, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

    blueskyweb.xyz

    • This is the primary website for the new social medial site that spun out of Twitter ~2 years ago.
    • This would benefit the Bluesky page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluesky_Social
    • It appears all ".xyz" domains are blocked, so I'm wondering if an exception can be made for blueskyweb.xyz.

    Saltesta (talk) 06:00, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Saltesta: Currently https://blueskyweb.org is listed as the official website, can you please elaborate what is the difference between the two? --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:58, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
