Kirovske (Ukrainian: Кіровське, Russian: Кировское) or Khrestivka (Ukrainian: Хрестівка, Russian: Крестовка) is a city of oblast significance in Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population: 28,291 (2013 est.)[1]; 30,910 (2001).

On 14 April 2014 pro-Russian activists captured Kirovske's town hall and declared that the city was part of the separatist Donetsk People's Republic.[2] Since then the city stayed under separatist control.[3]

In 2016 the city was renamed Khrestivka as part of decommunization in Ukraine. The city's name change process is temporarily suspended as it is not controlled by the government of Ukraine.
