Coblentz Crater is a crater in the Thaumasia quadrangle of Mars, located at 55.3°S latitude and 90.3°W longitude, and is inside Aonia Terra. It is 112.0 km in diameter and was named after William Coblentz, and the name was approved in 1973.[1]

Coblentz is located nearly west-southwest of the larger Lowell. no other named craters are located nearby, the next further crater is Slipher located north-northeast. About a third of the way with that crater is Aonia Mons, southeast is a low plain known as Aonia Planum, also in that location is Aonia Tholus. Northwest are a series of small faults and scarps known as Thaumasia Fossae which gives its name to the quadrangle.
