Istočni Mostar (Serbian Cyrillic: Источни Мостар) is a municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Overview

It was known as Srpski Mostar (Српски Мостар) until 2004, after which it was renamed Istočni Mostar (East Mostar). It was created from the Serb-inhabited part of the pre-war municipality of Mostar which is now in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH). The name Istočni Mostar also refers to the eastern part of Mostar which is in the FBiH.

The seat of municipality is in Zijemlje,[1] with 280 inhabitants, most of whom are Serbs. The two other settlements are Kamena and Kokorina.
