Kirovske (Ukrainian: Кіровське, Russian: Кировское) is a city of oblast significance in Donetsk Oblast (province) of Ukraine. Population: 28,291 (2013 est.)[1]; 30,910 (2001).
On 14 April 2014 pro-Russian activists captured Kirovske's town hall and declared that the city was part of the separatist Donetsk Peoples Republic.[2] Since then the city stayed under separatist control.[3]
