Magadi (crater)

Template:Infobox Mars crater Magadi is an impact crater just north of Argyre basin and Nereidum Montes in the Argyre quadrangle of Mars, located at 34.52°S and 47.07°W and is not far from Hale's northwestern irregular rim. It is 50.79 km in diameter and was named after Magadi, a town in Kenya. The name was approved in 1979 by the International Astronomical Union (IAU) Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature (WGPSN).[1]
Nearby named craters include Zongo to the west, Moanda to the east-southeast, Sumgin to the southwest, Labria nearly to the west and Bunge to the west-northwest.
