Rosa M. Abella

Staticshakedown, thanks for helping to expand the page for Rosa M. Abella! I'm curious to know how you came across the page or what caught your attention about it. This page was created as part of an evolving project to share information about people who are associated with archival collections in libraries and other cultural heritage institutions. Timathom (talk) 20:27, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi Timathom, I wish I could remember exactly how I stumbled upon Rosa M. Abella...I think it might've been from patrolling new pages? As a south Florida native and literature buff I was happy to pitch in, even if it was only a little :P Thanks for your contributions to GLAM wiki btw :) static shakedown 21:43, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Ambrose Bierce short stories

Staticshakedown, thanks for adding links in Bierce's page for his short stories. It's good to be able to go directly from his page to one of his stories. I was just wondering, though, if we shouldn't link all the stories to Wiki Source, when possible. We have some linked there, and some linked to another site, e.g., The Death of Halpin Frayser. This story has a wikisource page, so shouldn't we be linking there instead of to eastoftheweb.com? DutchmanInDisguise (talk) 01:30, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, you're right. I replaced the external links with Wikisource links. Thanks, static shakedown 16:00, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Wow, you didn't waste any time! Thanks, Static! DutchmanInDisguise (talk) 19:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Michael Benedikt

I don't know what the rules of courtesy involve when it comes to editing other people's preliminary versions of articles, so I'll just tell you here that Benedikt was born on May 26, 1935, according to Europa Publications Limited, International who's who of authors and writers, Vol. 19 (Psychology Press, 2003: ISBN 1857431790), p. 48. Hopefully you can see the entry here. Languagehat (talk) 14:53, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Forgot all about this article. Thanks! static shakedown 20:15, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Like the man said, you didn't waste any time! But shouldn't the existing page "Michael Benedikt" be renamed "Michael Benedikt (urbanist)" and "Michael Benedikt" go to a disambiguation page? Languagehat (talk) 00:00, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Done. Though not as quickly. :] static shakedown 18:29, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Fei Ye

Hey I moved Fei Ye (poet) to Fei Ye because there is not several articles about an individual with that name and there was no reason to disambiguate. If you have any questions, feel free to drop a note on my talkpage. --Guerillero | My Talk 06:27, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

The article Klára Lenz has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. -- Patchy1 REF THIS BLP 08:59, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

WP:FOOD Needs You!

Hi there Staticshakedown! I've noticed you have yourself listed as a member of the Food and Drink Wikiproject. Unfortunately it looks like the project has been slowly sliding into inactivity except for a couple of people. That makes me a sad potato, and nobody likes a sad potato amirite?

If you'd like to turn my frown upside down, can you do two small things?

First off, go here and add {{Tick}} (checkY) next to your name if you're still part of the project.

Second, go to the project talkpage and participate in a discussion about how to make the project more active, and how to go about making articles in our area of interest a lot better.

You don't want to make me cry, do you? Potatoes have a lot of eyes you know. So come on, join in! :)

Hi there. I saw that you PRODded Stein arild maudal. If a non-English page posted here exists, with the same text in the same language, on another Wikimedia project, that's grounds for speedy deletion (Wikipedia:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion#A2). Otherwise, it get a two-week reprieve over at Wikipedia:Pages_needing_translation_into_English in case someone wants to take a crack at translating it. If no one touches it for two weeks, then it gets PRODded. (As it happens the article that led me here happens to have been an attack page, so I requested speedy deletion for that reason.) —Largo Plazo (talk) 01:56, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Please dont delete it.

I understand, speedy, that it seems like vandalism, But its really a creepypasta! I just wanted to help everyone know about creepypastas, And think wikipedia should have articles about them. --Koy Hoffman (talk) 17:20, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
