Hoax TV station identifiers and the sock-puppets who add 'em?
Hi WayKurat,
I have blocked BRIGADAPLDT11 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) as an obvious TV station identifier hoaxer, and most likely Sock of.. apologies, I'm too scatter-brained to remember who.
I think we worked together about this sort of thing in 2014? 2015?
Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 11:46, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
PS: there is still another red-link that I think we should work on and later turn blue. Email me, and let's talk about it.
Wrong sock puppet
Hello WayKurat, I want to moved the sock puppet Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/FedericoMacalintal to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MarkHerson he is the copyright produced of GMA Network, as we can see the User:MarkHerson has recreated the username to User:FedericoMacalintal is block evaded. can you created another the Sockpuppet investigations. Oripaypaykim (talk) 12:24, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Oripaypaykim:, those two people are different. Trust me. Do not move it. -WayKurat (talk) 12:26, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
List of current Kapuso stars
Hi!
List of current Kapuso stars is different from List of GMA Artist Center talents because there are GMA Network stars who are not under GMA Artist Center but still are working on GMA Network such as Maine Mendoza, Aicelle Santos, Denise Barbacena, Kiko Estrada, Joey de Leon, Eugene Domingo need I mention more?
"List of GMA Artist Center talents" is basically a list of celebrities who are signed under GMA Artist Center just like what the title says while "List of current Kapuso stars" is the roster of artist/stars who are working under GMA Network so please return the latter to its original state because the two are clearly different.
I wish you first checked the difference of the two before redirecting my own "list" to the other. MBdemigod (talk) 16:04, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- @MBdemigod: Why not consolidate both lists? Also, there are too many lists of network talents existing here in Wikipedia (Both for GMA and ABS-CBN). I suggest you really want to retain that article, rename it to "List of GMA Network talent" since "Kapuso" is an informal name of GMA Network. Regarding your last comment, please read WP:OWN. Do not own the articles you created. -WayKurat (talk) 16:18, 29 March 2016 (UTC)
- @WayKurat:: You can't combine both lists because as I said, the two are different. If I can retain the page, I will then change the name of the article. About my last comment, I just based it from this: Please double check before creating your own "list".
Hi ! I understand that this account is under a sock puppet investigation and may very well turn out to be a problematic account. However on the off chance that it isn't, you shouldn't issue blocking/vandalism warning without providing at least a link to the supposed vandalism. Because from the perspective of legitimate account such a notice looks rather unfriendly and obtuse. The account has no information on what it actually did wrong.--Kmhkmh (talk) 06:14, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Template:GMA Network shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:49, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- I thought I would issue this warning, this in case you were unaware of the 3RR rule. If you exceed it again, you will probably be blocked. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 15:50, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Waykurat! I appreciate your effort on getting my attention and other users as well, but unfortunately you're making a mistake on me. The photo you are deleting is already on Wikemedia. I hope I made this statement clear. ShanksofWessex (talk) 02:39, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

If I may ask, if a certain photo was originally taken by person A but used, uploaded or published elsewhere by person B does it mean that person A has no right to use his/her own work? ShanksofWessex (talk) 02:53, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
- If person B has published it to be used commercially (i.e.: magazines, news websites), then it is subject to copyright, regardless if person A released its rights. Please read WP:Non free content for details. -WayKurat (talk) 02:56, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of 99.5 Play FM
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 99.5 Play FM requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from https://tools.wmflabs.org/copyvios/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=&oldid=717815541&action=search&use_engine=1&use_links=1&turnitin=0. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. TJH2018talk 21:53, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
- @TJH2018:, I think you made a mistake here. The content that supposed to be copyvio was actually existing in Wikipedia since 2010 - way before the blog you referred posted it. In this case, the blog copied the contents of this Wikipedia article and posted it on his blog. And if you checked out the blogger's other posts, it's clear that he just copies content from Wikipedia. -WayKurat (talk) 04:32, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Pride Airways
I just wanted to give you a heads up, I declined your speed deletion nomination of Pride Airways. Given that the article claims its a airline still in the formation stage, and that it does generate some relevant, but not very reliable, search results, I don't think its obviously enough a hoax to speedy delete. I've nominated it at AfD instead, as it may still be a hoax, and even if its not, its a classic WP:TOOSOON. Monty845 13:24, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Monty845:, how about this Facebook link? The airline looks very obviously fake. -WayKurat (talk) 13:42, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- Given the article claims they plan to start service in 2017, the state of the Facebook page doesn't look that surprising. The problem is that when the article claims its still in the formation stages, most thinks that would normally appear to be evidence of a hoax, can also be explained by the company being in the early stage of establishing its web presence. As in my opinion we can't tell if its a hoax or toosoon, AGF says we should err on the side of toosoon, which can also result in deletion, but just isn't as speedy. Monty845 13:52, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
DOT and DOTC
Mr Art served secretary of transportation OR secretary of transportation and communications?? two different decisions so keep an altogether different. Akuindo (talk) 03:17, 1 July 2016 (UTC)
- @Akuindo:: The renaming of the DOTC to Department of Transportation is not the point here. The point here is that you created a new article by copy-pasting an existing article. You could just moved the DOTC article to its new name instead of creating a new article, to preserve the article's edit history. Please read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia for more details. -WayKurat (talk) 03:35, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Hi WayKurat, Just incase there was any confusion - This wasn't directed at you, As I hadn't checked the edit I initially assumed they'd blanked the article and then realized they hadn't ... and then realized they've been warned for not using edsum before .... Oh the joys of Wikipedia ,
Anyway my apologies if It seemed like it was directed at you as it obviously wasn't,
Anyway thanks, Happy editing, –Davey2010Talk 02:14, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

The contributions made point to reliable sources (Rappler, Businessmirror, government agencies, foreign press). Why don't you put both sides of the argument on the wikipedia artile and let the readers decide? You can place counter-rebuttals or alternative views right after the contributions I made, but then it has to be sourced properly rather than just biased opinions. Sock accusations
If you are going to accuse someone of being a sock, you need to do it in the right venue, WP:SPI. Making accusations of Sockpuppetry without providing any evidence such as you did on the edit summary at DWJJ-AM is a personal attack. If you believe DWJJ-AM is a sock of Bertrand101 go to the SPI, Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bertrand101, and present your evidence. - GB fan 11:18, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- @GB fan: FYI, User:DWJJ-AM is already been blocked. If you have read the most recent SPI that I have done for Bertrand101, he created a lot of sock accounts using Philippine radio callsigns. How can tagging a blocked account that nearly matches the behavior of all of the socks I have reported a "personal attack"? Reporting it to SPI will become futile since the account is already blocked. Please read the LTA against Bertrand101. The username and its behavior fits to a T. -WayKurat (talk) 11:24, 11 January 2017 (UTC)
- The account is soft-blocked as a username violation. A soft block means the username hasn't done anything wrong just that the username is not appropriate. It also encourages them to create a new account, I don't think you want them creating a new account but if you read the block notice on their talk page that is what it says. Calling someone a sock without presenting evidence is a personal attack. I also see that two checkuser runs have been made to look for sleepers since this account was made and neither one picked up this account as being a sock. That is why this is a personal attack without presenting the evidence. - GB fan 11:38, 11 January 2017 (UTC)

Re: Leni Robredo edits
The edit I made has zero personal analysis. It does not violate anything. Please see the Inquirer article I linked for reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpadriga (talk • contribs) 08:16, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Jpadriga:, if you read the original text, it was already implied that Robredo failed the bar exam for the first time she took it, ("She passed the bar on her second attempt in 1996"). Also, you are just re-using the same Inquirer source from the original unedited sentence on the word "flunked". The original sentence already added the Inquirer article you cited before you added the word "flunked". -WayKurat (talk) 08:23, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
Dick Israel edits
Look at the almost any Dick Israel to see MDY dates. A surpassing film date also used DMY. FYI, I am Seth De Castro and I think Dick Israel MDY is stupid but I can't deny reality. -Sethdecastro1 (talk) 08:22, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- @Sethdecastro1: Please stop changing date formats in Wikipedia articles to push your DMY format agenda. I have seen you changing date formats on several Phiilippine media related articles, and you always say that the MDY format is "stupid". Changing date formats based on your opinion can be considered vandalism. If you will still insist on changing the date format on articles, I may report you to WP:AIV for vandalism. -WayKurat (talk) 06:13, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

Non-Stop Vandalism for Philippine TV
Hi. I'm a fan of yours, i have a question? Why I saw some pictures or videos on facebook, youtube or sites that are not reliable from the Philippine media it seems that anyone can create disruptive or unreliable sources example like BBC returns to channel 13 replacing IBC I'm not satisfied from the persons that are creating non-sense ideas. Well, keep fighting against vandalism and I will continue supporting you because i'm a fan of Philippine Television for over 2 decades. On 7 April 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2016–17 PBA Philippine Cup Finals, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that by winning the 2016–17 PBA Philippine Cup Finals, the San Miguel Beermen became the second team in Philippine Basketball Association history to keep permanent possession of the Jun Bernardino Trophy? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2016–17 PBA Philippine Cup Finals. Replaceable fair use File:Rudy Distrito 1991 Finals.png
Thanks for uploading File:Rudy Distrito 1991 Finals.png. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:42, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

You might want to take a look at this guy.
Not going to comment on his (apparent) condition, but you might want to keep your tabs on Janus Nuelizson S. Azucena, well since he was previously blocked for his long-term pattern of disruption and bizarre edits to articles. Care if you back me up on this one as I'm not much of an expert with radio/television station articles? Blake Gripling (talk) 06:14, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- When I checked his edits, there's a mix of good and bad edits. I'll try to monitor his edits on my end. -WayKurat (talk) 11:07, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- He can be a pain to deal with imho. Don't even bother leaving a message on his talk page, as he'd simply disregard and delete it. His lack of coherence and the fact that he had a very disturbing cover photo on his Facebook profile made me feel leery about him. Blake Gripling (talk) 14:31, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

CSD Declined
Hi,
Just to let you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Template:It's Afternoon Weekend (Philippine variety show), as it is not a candidate for WP:CSD#G1. As a reminder, the criteria for G1 is below (I have highlighted part):
- This applies to pages consisting entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. It does not cover poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, implausible theories, vandalism or hoaxes, fictional material, coherent non-English material, or poorly translated material. Nor does it apply to user sandboxes or other pages in the user namespace. In short, if you can understand it, G1 does not apply.
If you still believe the page should be deleted, feel free to renominate, but please make sure you nominate with the correct template. For a full list of speedy deletion categories, please refer to WP:CSD. Stephen! Coming... 09:18, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
- I've deleted it now; thank you for using a more appropriate deletion category. One other thing though, I noticed that you never posted a deletion notification on User:YU-GI-OH! '85's talk page. Part of the deletion process, be it for speedy, prod or AFD, includes notifying the article's author(s). This gives them the opportunity to make amendments to save it from speedy deletion. It also serves a second purpose; if the user is making lots of dubious pages, it is easier for other users and administrators to spot what they are up to and take appropriate action. Thank you. Stephen! Coming... 09:34, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
