The Detroit Taskforce covers articles relating to Detroit and the Detroit metropolitan area. The metropolitan area is defined by the Detroit MSA, defined by the US Government. The Detroit MSA includes Lapeer, Livingston, Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Wayne counties.

Meetup group

I'm planning a meetup to coincide with the Great American Wiknic, and have created Wikipedia:Meetup/Detroit to organize it. If you've ever been interested in becoming more involved in the Detroit and Wikipedia community this would be a great time to start. The current plan involves having the Wiknic at Wayne State University's Campus, as a part of the Detroit Windsor International Film Festival Tech Fair. Keep an eye on the meetup page for more information as it becomes available.

That'd be me. We've tried to put something together in the past to mesh with Tech Fair with mixed results but both it and the Detroit Windsor International Film Festival have been postponed indefinitely. So there've been no plans for the future. PeRshGo (talk) 08:24, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
