Deletion of Furla article Why have you deleted my article about the Furla brand. Similar articles exist on Wikipedia for many popular brands, including Gucci, Prada, Fendi, even the Guess stores have a page. I think that this brand deserves to be in this encyclopedia. Deletetion of article "Vopium" ‎

Hi Dan, reference your deletion of article Vopium (log: 13:25, 7 April 2009 Dank (talk | contribs) deleted "Vopium" ‎ (G11: advertising), i would like to add that i have revised it and would like to re-submit. I have revised the article to include more reputable sources to help demonstrate notability. These include a global industry analyst firm, one of the most respected telecom business reporters in the US, a massively popular US-based consumer information site, and several telecom/VoIP-specific media outlets, demonstrating the industry’s continued recognition and interest in Vopium as a viable player. It’s also important to note that Vopium is publicly listed on NYSE Euronext.

Regarding your other point, yes Vopium’s technology is very much out of beta for the majority of the devices that it supports, which is more than 500. As Vopium is being constantly developed, new software to run on the newest platforms, there will always be certain products in beta at various times.

What do you suggest, should i just "create a new article" and you would see it from there? or how to send it to you?

Here on the English Wikipedia, admins don't have any more authority than anyone else to decide which articles are kept. My advice would be to read WP:CORP and WP:Your first article, think about whether your current version meets our guidelines, and then post it at WP:DRAW and see if you can get some feedback before you re-post it as a Wikipedia article. - Dank (formerly Dank55) (push to talk) 12:45, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

You've got access to it already; just click the "edit" button, and you'll see all the text. The page is listed at WP:Copyright problems, which means that someone will be along in the next few days to look at the page again, and they might delete it if they find any sentences still copied from the source, so rewrite the article, and then remove the {{copyvio}} tag at the top of the page. Deletion of Mickey Mouse Problem

I think this may have been a mistake. The copyvio URL given appears to be an Wikipedia mirror site, no longer hosting the article.

Could this be restored?

I found another mirror of the article here. I would agree it needs cleanup, but think this concept ought to have an article.

The rest of the information on Irwin is also factual. She is happy to give approval on use of any of the information. Sure, I'm always happy to restore pages if you're willing to make an effort to fix it, and it sounds like you are. It's now at User:Intelligenttalk/Irwin kula, but if you move it into mainspace in its present condition, it will probably be deleted again. Study our policy on neutral wording; the present page is much too glowing. Also, it was tagged by the bot Corenbot as a copy of another page, and User:NawlinWiki also deleted the page for the copyright violation, so I've added a tag that obscures the text; you'll still be able to see all the text and edit it when you click on "edit". The block was simply a block on that particular username; usernames which mention a particular product that is or is going to be for sale are considered "promotional" by Wikipedians, and are prohibited by our username policy. You're more than welcome to edit Wikipedia; simply create an account that doesn't mention your book. However, you're probably going to run into further problems, possibly leading to deletion of articles you create, unless you start off reading a few more pages: WP:NB, our guideline on which books are notable enough to have their own articles, and WP:COI, our guideline on editing articles that you have a personal stake in. - Dank (push to talk) 04:26, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm not dead-set against having an article on this in Wikipedia; it was a technical decision, and if you can find independent sources, it might work. Thanks for helping usher the process. I noticed that you stated "I'm agreed with the opposition that there really should have been a clear discussion of when and how IPs were going to be able to communicate when he's an admin.". If you'll be so kind as to pose a related question, I'll be happy to answer it and hopefully clear up any confusion. Alternatively, I can always add an addendum to my personal beliefs.

Short version is that I have no problem with criticism whatsoever. However, my talk page and user pages were protected due to death threats and accusations of murder. These edits were not meant as simple harassment, but as an attempt to publicly malign/discredit/defame me. Proof? Despite my e-mail having been available since I became aware of this feature of Wikipedia, I have not received a single hate-mail.

Re: Dirty Deeds

In the case of there being only two uses of a title where on is an album and the other the title track from that album, it is standard for the page title to go to the album with a template:for link to the song at the top of the page. That was one of those bizarre instances where the article was well written, not copyrighted and the subject seemingly notable. In fact, I can't remember a similar situation. Given that, I thought it best to give the user a chance to change his/her username. I'm assuming that there has been not but there have been discussions with the findings that if there are articles that are unique in their existence, such as something titled "United States (country)", they do not need a disambiguator because of the fact that its pretty well known. Tony shore

Hi - Just a quick question - should every article/bio have an improper case redirect as in the case of Tony shore? I tried to clean this up because I think the search suggestion dropdown/autocomplete is so useful most of the time, but not when it is filled up with double / triple redirects to the same articles (which as you mentioned may not survive). If the subject was notable and the original proper case article existed, and then a new editor created a new improper case page I can certainly see it being a valid redirect... but that is not the case here. Similarly, if someone created Tony SHore - would that survive. Thanks (and sorry for the hypothetical questions - just trying to avoid wasted CSDs in the future). Deletion PTE Academic

Hi

I wrote the article on PTE Academic. I work in the admissions departmnt of a university that have accepted PTE Academic scores and feel it important to have a presence as have the other test such as IELTS and TOEFL. Please could you suggest how I change the article for it to be acceptable.

A7 on Los Colorados

Hi Dank,

Just an observation as I was the original PRODer and have that on my watchlist, I think the page did make a tenuous claim about notability in its geographical region, the previous version of the article (the one deleted through the expired PROD I placed) also claimed an appearance on US TV (the Ellen Degeneres show or something). Frankly, I only scanned for notability and sources not present in the version which was deleted through my PROD, noticed what I'd have called a tenuous assertion of notability, considered whether to push it to AfD and decided to just leave a note on talk and let the reviewing admin judge. And had afterthoughts an hour later :) So if it was overly spammy (which wasn't the case in the previous incarnation) I missed it. Corfu categories

I noticed you declined my speedy tag. You are aware that I am in the process of recategorising Greek towns and villages per discussion with the project. I therefore find the four day wait unjustified as the categories are being renamed. It has been discussed with the group already so there is no reason why we need to keep them. Speedy decline

How is the number of editors working on an article related to whether or not notability is asserted in the article. The fact that so many have worked on it and it still doesn't say why it's a notable group of fuels is even more odd. The only discussion I've seen at WT:CSD was in the last part of Wikipedia_talk:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion/Archive_34#Thoughts? As much as I'd love to make all the decisions about what stays and goes on Wikipedia, I'm not allowed to do that. When a lot of people, either by silence or by actively working on the article, have indicated that they think the article is notable enough for inclusion, you need a community decision to reverse that. What community process are you talking about? The one that created an article that fails the speedy criteria or the one that has no consensus on the suitability of the article to stay? I would see creation of the speedy criteria as a more important community process. I think maybe your personal interpretation of the speedy criteria may be keeping you from looking at the content itself. Consumer Cellular

The Consumer Cellular page was written to focus on the company's influence, NOT to promote their plans or services. The company IS important in the Portland community, and is relevant to use of cellular phones by senior citizens. External links were only to news articles showing Consumer Cellular's role in the Portland business community. The page is relevant to life in the Pacific Northwest, which is what my contributions focus on - could it be undeleted? Mukul Shivaputra Komkali

Hello Dank,

I was searching for Mukul and found a deleted page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mukul_Shivaputra_Komkali I agree that Mukul is not as famous as his father but he is certainly great and notable. He is not notable because of his father's fame but for his contribution to Indian Classical Music.

He is not so famous because he choose to live a different type of life. "He is a moody person. He likes to lead a reclusive life and has a habit of disappearing and then reappearing out of the blue," remarks one of Shivputra's close friends.

This google news link lists tries to put some light on the matter http://news.google.com/archivesearch?q=Mukul+Shivaputra&hl=en&ned=us&um=1&sa=N&start=0. This list of Google news starts from 2002 but I have seen him performing as master in 90s as well. Even in 90s he was of the level that top Indian Classical musicians (e.g. Pt Shiv Kumar Sharma http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiv_Kumar_Sharma) agreed to adjust timings during an overnight concert for carving a slot for Mukul.

Whosoever has written the page about him may not have researched enough and seems was not able to provide enough references. IMHO it will be good if the page can be restored and left for development.

Hi Akshay! This message was not intended for me, but I'll reply to it anyway. The article in question did not make an assertion of notability, i.e., it did not indicate why the subject of the article was important. An off-wiki site has a copy of the article here which it managed to obtain before the article was deleted. As you can see, the information is also inaccurate. Mukul Shivaputra Komkali was not awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 1990 (which would make him notable). It was, in fact, his father Kumar Gandharva who got the award. You may recreate the article if you wish, but it must follow Wikipedia guidelines (WP:N, WP:V, WP:NPOV). Also, you may wish to read WP:FIRST. Best to you, AvN 15:08, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Content creation

I'm at work, so talk page posting was easier!

I was thinking about your comments about content creation last night. The ones to which I've pointed you to are really it, and I'd have to agree that none of them could easily be worked up to a GA or featured list.

Part of the problem is that there's never been anything about which I've had a burning need to write an article — even the baseball draft articles were about filling in gaps more than they were about adding to the store of human knowledge. I'm also working with words all day long at work, so even though I'm a trained journalist/editor, writing is about the last thing that I want to go and do in my spare time.

However, I thought that a list might be the right fit, and I've been looking at the featured lists to get an idea of what's already there and what might turn my crank. I'm probably most passionate/knowledgeable about sports, hockey and baseball in particular, and so my search is turning me in that direction.

List of Ottawa Senators players is one that's already featured, and so I immediately thought that List of Toronto Maple Leafs players could be good for me (favourite team). However, they've been around for so long that it would be an enormous undertaking. However, while baseball does have some featured lists, none of them are for the team rosters. Toronto Blue Jays all-time roster might be something to tackle then. All of the team roster pages look like this, though, so there's a possibility that this is a format on which the relevant project has settled — I'm going to check that out with them.

In the meantime, a couple of questions:

• Initial reaction to the choice?
• I'm assuming that the title doesn't have to be in the 'List of …' format, correct?
• In the case where you're significantly beefing up the content and changing the format of an existing page, such as would be the case with Toronto Blue Jays all-time roster, thoughts on the best way to go about it? My gut says to lay it all out on a user sub-page first and then copy it into the article over top of the existing content — trying to build it into the article as it stands with a giant "Under Construction" tag feels really ugly to me, especially if it's going to be done in bite-size pieces over several weeks.
• Unrelated, but what is it about 30 Rock (season 1) that makes it eligible to be a featured list? That seems like a full-fledged article to me, or is it just enough that there's a solid list within the article?

If you ever want to work on an article and are unsure if it counts as a list, User:Dabomb87, User:Matthewedwards, User:Scorpion0422, and User:Truco are all great editors to ask, as they are really involved at FLC. As for that 30 Rock one; I'd say that it could go as either GA or FL, but I would go for the latter, as 30 Rock (season 2) is already a FL, and it is best to keep things consistent. How the hell is it not an A9? A9 is for cases where the album doesn't assert notability and the artist doesn't have an article. Miike Snow was just speedied; therefore, Miike Snow (album) is without its artist's article; therefore, it's a clear-cut A9. Speedy and AFD can overlap, you know, if the speedy fits. A lot of days, including today, I do more CSD work than anyone else, at least during my "shift". One immutable rule of Wikipedia (and any workplace) is: the bigger your footprint, the softer you have to tread, because people don't like getting bossed around. Stopping an ongoing deletion conversation (other than for db-attack or db-copyvio) because "I've decided" would get roughly the same reaction that Bush Jr. got when he said "I'm the decider". OTOH ... I don't want to get off on the wrong foot with any of the people active in music-related deletion tagging, because I need more help with that than anything else. Out 100 list

That's a very good question; I think the answer is that there's been so much commentary on Time's Person of the Year that we can take the commentary as our sources. When similar lists have been reproduced, for example, List of America's 100 greatest golf courses, they've been either deleted, redirected, or shortened considerably out of copyright concerns. That would be the core issue as I understand it. If the selection criteria are creative, then the list is copyrightable. "most interesting and influential" is definitely a subjective, hence creative, list. Time's "Person of the Year" is also subjective, but what's being reported in that article is simply the winners who have been chosen and published year after year. We can report on People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" winners (and do here), but could not reproduce the entire list of "100 Most Beautiful People" or "25 Hottest Bachelors." (I have to admit that creative lists are not an area of copyright with which I've had much personal experience. It mystifies me that Billboard can copyright some of its charts, but it certainly does: "Use of a Billboard chart on any Internet Web site is EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED without prior written consent from VNU eMedia, Inc." Are they blowing hot air? I don't know. I understand what you're saying, but in practice, I don't think Wikipedia uses "creativity" as the core criterion for excluding award lists. See for example most any of the lists in Category:Award winners and its subcategories. All of the examples of "acceptable" content mentioned so far (Person of the Year, Sexiest Man, etc.) are "creative". I mean, I'm no lawyer, but if creativity is the primary criterion, we have a lot more deleting to do. Queerudite (talk) 00:58, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

But those are annual winners, not a full list. For example of a previous conversation, see this archived conversation from 2004: a couple of quotes, "Compliation copyright occurs when the compliation has a sufficient creative element in it to recognize authorship in the list."; "In general, in US law, a list isn't copyrightable unless what is on the list has been creatively selected (a significant subset of all possible entries) or is in some other way either fictional or creative." Mustang Maniacs

Hey. I see that the page for the Mustang Maniacs was speedily deleted, and I feel that it may have happened prematurely. Looking back, I see that it did not meet the requirements of A7, but I feel that with some editing, the article could be a valuable addition to Wikipedia. The main reason why the article was deleted was for not sufficiently stating a reason why it was important enough, so I have worked to find some valid reasons why the group merits recognition:
1. The Mustang Maniacs, in cooperation with the Aggie Pack, put on the Battle for the Golden Horseshoe, a tradition that has merited its own page and has existed since 1939.
2. The Mustang Maniacs are charged with the protection and restoration of the Cal Poly P, a landmark of San Luis Obispo county and a nationally recognized historical place (working on finding external source)
3. The Mustang Maniacs are responsible for garnering the support needed to set the record for the crowd of 11,075 people October 17th, 2008 at Alex G. Spanos Stadium. This event goes down in history as the third largest attended college soccer game in all of the sports history.

Thanks for asking; this is the reason I give extra detail in the speedy rationale, so that if something doesn't look right, people are more likely to speak up. I restored and moved the page to User:Dank/Mustang Maniacs, and added "noindex" so it doesn't get picked up by search engines; please don't remove that. I'll check back in a week for improvement. None of the 3 references it has at the moment are considered independent; it will probably need independent reliable sources supporting notability in order to survive at WP:AfD. List of Clow Cards

You recently denied a request for speedy deletion of List of Clow Cards, however the same user that requested the speedy deletion has now redirected the page to Cardcaptor Sakura. I'm reluctant to revert their edits because they will simply re-revert it back. As I'm fairly new to editing Wikipedia, I'm wondering what I should do to resolve this situation properly. The request was denied because the previous AfD said redirect. As such, I have simply enforced the AfD (yet again). However, I will say that I do disagree with the declining to delete. Clow Cards wasn't deleted in the physical sense, but it was only redirected because it was a likely search term. As such, I feel that recreating the article under another name is the same as recreating deleted material as it was "deleted by redirect". In either case, three AfDs, as well as discussions on the main article page clearly show this content is not acceptable in any form, and so for now I have just redirected it per those consensus based discussions that are supported by Wikipedia guidelines and policies. I notice you're new at speedy tagging work? I think you may have confused me with some other person or some other article. I've been an admin longer than you've been editing. On this article, my searches on the first two awards listed (sam millar XXX award, where XXX was the name of the award) came up with nothing or websites that quoted the author's own website. I then repeated my search on google news without changing the text of my search and got nothing. Well, my mistake. I have been declining a lot of speedies this morning, saw your username and vaguely remembered that I had seen your name several times this morning, and put two and two together and got five. Check out this Google archive search; he seems to be quoted as an expert, or at least a pundit, in several papers, not just the local Belfast paper. At Google books, the "about this book" links list a lot of reviews, some in large-circulation newspapers. Hi. You recently tagged some empty categories for speedy deletion. If they don't show up at WP:DBR (specifically, in the history from at least 4 days ago ... http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Database_reports/Empty_categories&oldid=289173874), then they usually don't meet the C1 guidelines. None of the categories I tagged will show up in that report. If you read the paragraph at the top of the page, you'll see that categories including the words "non-article" amongst others will not be shown. -- WOSlinker (talk) 19:53, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

I was just looking around Wikipedia one day when I saw a vandalization by a user named Grawp. I went to revert it, only to find that it was reverted while I was looking at it. After click on several links, I found myself on a page with the prefix https:// instead of http:// where some high-end Wikipedians were talking about the sockpuppets of JarlaxleArtemis. Chances are someone was linking someone to a diff of the incident at hand so that it could be removed from the logs, and they were linking from the secure server. As for discussing the socks, due to the nature of both his and copycats' disruption, discussion often occurs. I was reacting to sentences like "Rainman enabled AOL to stay a step ahead of the Web for nearly a decade, contributing to its meteoric rise as an online service" and "many consider Rainman to be faster, simpler to use and more reliable than HTML", but with some judicious editing, it might be a useful article. What do you recommend I do to avoid having that page deleted? Another user suggest the hangon, which is why I added it. It is helpful to remove it, at least at moments like this when it's me vs. the taggers (and you guys are winning), because I have to be careful whenever there's an AfD or prod tag. With pages like this, rather than tagging as A1, please do a Google search to see if they're copying from somewhere (they were) and tag as G12. Concerning Deletion of article on Christiane Vleugels

If people need to have "significant hits at news.google.com/archivesearch," then I challenge you to explain why many people mentioned in other biographical articles return no significant search results on Google News. Two examples I picked at random from the list of Belgian painters, also contemporary:

Philip Henderickx — no references except concerning the "mixing of exotic drinks"

The "De Vriendt Brothers" — no references except in an anniversary list.

You will find many more examples of these. Wikipedia is full of people and things that no one has ever heard about. If the article is not allowed to be created, it cannot grow, and one can only tell how well the people are really known from whether or not the article grows.

You must admit, the similarities are very close, as these also concern stub articles about little known contemporary painters which return no significant search results on Google News — yet, these were not deleted, in contrast to my own article about Vleugels. This is unreasonable and unjust, and I protest.

If you think the person concerned is not significant enough, I may add that the Gallery des Beaux Art is well known in Cologne, that her works reached as far as Egypt, that thousands of people are keeping up with her works continually, and that Vleugels has been widely acclaimed for originality and photorealistic detail.

Please discuss.

Heh, I saw that "or you may expect complaints" ... as you can see from my talk page, anyone active in deletion work may expect complaints on a daily basis. The main problem is that our notability standards are rather strict, and people really aren't expecting that, or don't know what they are, exactly. We try to encourage first-time contributors; we would prefer that every article start with reliable sources establishing notability on the very first draft, but we don't always get it, and then we have to make judgment calls. If you need the text that I deleted, I'll be happy to reproduce it in my userspace. What has WP:MILHIST got to do with WP:CORP?

My speedy tag[4] on Vanguard Industries, Inc. is okay but WP:MILHIST should be notified first[5]? The company fails to meet WP:CORP no matter if the Military History Project likes it or not. Is "MILHIST likes to be in the loop" a valid reason to decline a CSD tag? You really got me confused here. Yintaɳ  22:57, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

Roughly speaking, any speedy (other than G3, G10 and G12) can be turned down if the admin has an idea that there's somebody out there who might be able to find sources for and improve the article (although, it's important not to just take the tag off and let it drop ... I usually prod, and when not, I put it on a list to check on it later ... and sometimes the article gets worse and I speedy it later). Normally I don't speedy if someone claims to have found possible sources, but 4 things swayed me on this one:

• It was a G4
• The re-creation and deletion log was very long
• On the article talk page, which I reproduced at User_talk:Black_pauk1488#Copied_from_deleted_article_talk_page, the article creator says they re-created the article with explicit permission from Fabrictramp, when she said exactly the opposite, and

I was a bit unsure what to tag it as, since I saw the creator added the category to a couple of articles on numbers. See for instance Wikipedia_talk:CSD#A1 instead of G1 or G3. The problem with G1 is that different people think it means different things, and people have failed RFAs over the perception that their speedy tagging was bad. If something looks like speedy-able nonsense, and if WP:CSD#A1 doesn't apply, think about whether the page could have been meant as something harmless or experimental; if so, then you should usually tag as G2, and if not, then usually G3. - Dank (push to talk) 04:06, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

The policy you're referring to says: "A copy, by any title, of a page deleted via a deletion discussion, provided the copy is substantially identical (bolding mine) to the deleted version and that any changes in the recreated page do not address the reasons for which the material was deleted." As I pointed out, the old version was rejected for having no sources, and the new version has sources, so it's not a G4. I have a question about why you deleted my article about GLC Advisors. You said no verifyable independent sources, yet if you look at google: http://www.google.com/search?q=glc+advisors&rls=com.microsoft:en-us&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1, there are more than just a few.

On Bloomberg finance terminals the story was also deemed a "top" story of the day which means it jumps to the top of the list for anyone looking at news.

You also said no significant hits at Google Archive, but that was due to the fact that the press release occured last night at midnight and there hasn't been time to build archive hits.

I understand if there is some other reason for taking the page down, but the reasons as stated do not seem adequate.

Deleting "broken" redirects

Before you delete a redirect to a non-existent target page, you should check to see if there's something else the redirect ought to point to. When deleting simple things like broken redirects, all I check is the history, to make sure I'm not deleting anything that wouldn't be trivially easy to re-create, in case the requester is in error. Hiya. I know this is frustrating, because someone has done a lot of work on this article, and I believe this product clears the "notability" hurdle, but there's one more hurdle to clear to avoid deletion. Wikipedians have a gut reaction to anything that even vaguely resembles a company brochure, and the resemblance here is still more than vague. Hi Dank. You deleted the above as a broken redirect earlier - where was it pointing to, exactly? I ran across Silent alarm which was in itself a broken redirect that was pointing to Still alarm, and I'm trying to figure out if there is in fact a decent target for either or both of the redirects. Woodleigh School page

Page deleted on basis that it conflicted with another school. However, no wiki page exists for a school in NZ with same name. Also, user who marked page for deletion has history of vandalism. Also, deleting the page and renaming previous page left 33 dead links - which I have now repaired. Please could Woodleigh School be reinstated with a disambiguation or redirect to Woodleigh School, UK.

Incidentally, the correct name of the school is Woodleigh School, Langton - and not Woodleigh School, UK.

Okay, now I see. Woodleigh School was moved to Woodleigh School, UK by User:Stevenward33a, is that you? When a page is moved by a non-admin, a redirect page stays behind, pointing to the new location. All I did was to delete this left-over redirect page, because User:Stevenward33a blanked the page, usually meaning it's okay to delete the page. Ask any informed Houstonian, and they will tell you who Gene Locke is. He was the City Attorney (e.g., the Lawyer for the City), in the 90s and now if a frontrunner for Mayor of Houston. G7 deletion of Melhus church

I see you deleted Melhus church under G7. I believe that the author has overreacted to a comment made by Orland at Template_talk:Did_you_know#Melhus church. I believe that rather than deleting the article, the creator Mbz1 should be given some time to cooldown. I would also like to point out that at Template_talk:Did_you_know#Melhus church, Mbz1 claims that User:Invertzoo, User:Kjetil, and User:Finnrind also helped build the article(which means it may not qualify for G7)Smallman12q (talk) 21:21, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

I agree. The article was earlier today moved to Melhus church and Controversy of the Petter Dass portrait. Then moved to Melhus_church_and_controversy_of_the_Petter_Dass_portrait. Then there was a copy-paste move back to Melhus church. If you look at the edit history of the article, you'll see that it did not qualify for speedy deletion. Well, what put me off was not the comment that Orland left at Template_talk:Did_you_know#Melhus church, but rather the comment that Orland made at the talk page of the article. I put in the article practically everything I could find on the subject on the NET. It took me hours and hours to search and translate from Norwegian (and I do not know Norwegian at all) to get some information about the church. Of course I agree that controversy of the Petter Dass portrait takes the biggest part of the article, but it is not because I wanted to make a point, but simply because I found the biggest ammount of information about this particular matter. When I started working on the article, I did not know about this portrait at all, and once again I did not try to make any points. I simply put the information from very reliabale Norwegian sources in the article. On the other hand Orland might be right that this info should have got to Petter Dass article. If the info of Petter Dass portrait is taken off from the article I started, there would be almost nothing left to keep this thing as an article at all. That's why I nominated it for speedy that probabably was not fair to other users involved in the creation of the article.Thank you all for the comments. Okay, I copied the article text to your talk page when I deleted the article because I thought you might want to keep trying. You had no independent, reliable sources, nothing that you said in the article suggested that such sources might exist, and this news archive search gives no hits at all. I have on one occasion nominated a CSD under G1 - someone had posted 'kitten on the keys' - a mixture of random letters and numbers.
