Buloba is an urban area in Wakiso District in the Central Region of Uganda.[2]
Location
Buloba is on the tarmacked Kampala–Mityana Road. It is approximately 14 kilometres (8.7 mi), by road, west of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.[3] The coordinates of Buloba are 0° 19' 30.00"N, 32° 27' 0.00"E (Latitude:0.3250; Longitude:32.4500).[4]
Overview
Buloba is divided into four administrative zones, from east to west:
- Buloba ku Mwenda ("Buloba Nine Miles") - About 9 miles (14 km) west of Kampala
- Buloba Kasero - About 10.5 miles (16.9 km) west of Kampala
- Buloba Main - About 12 miles (19 km) west of Kampala
- Buloba Kiweesi - About 14 miles (23 km) west of Kampala
When the Uganda Oil Refinery is built, it is anticipated that the finished petroleum products will be piped to a location in Buloba, for distribution within Kampala and other towns such as Entebbe.[5][6]
