Whedon in 2005 Sydney Morning Herald
I'm looking for an interview of Joss Whedon, conducted by Gabriel Wilder for the Sydney Morning Herald, published in the Icon section (at least, I think that's a section) on October 1, 2005. At least, a non-RS source tells me that's what I'm looking for. That non-RS, plus another, tell me that it was an interview conducted on September 12, 2005, and so I'm not sure if I'm looking for one article or for two. I have a feeling it's only one though, published October 1. I'm working on Serenity (film), and if the non-RSes are right in what they've replicated, it will be helpful in filling in production information about the film's viral marketing videos, something that's been pretty difficult to source. I already went through the web archive snapshots of the online articles of the section, but the earliest capture is two or so weeks after the date I need. Infotrac Newsstand apparently goes back to only 2007 for the Herald. --~Cheers, TenTonParasol 21:51, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Lazarus Aaronson
Hi. Earlier this year I created an article on the little known poet Lazarus Aaronson. I am now hoping to expand the article and would very much appreciate access to the section on him supposed to be in chapter one of the recently published Baker, William; Roberts Shumaker, Jeanette (2015). The Literature of the Fox: A Reference and Critical Guide to Jewish Writing in the UK. AMS Studies in Modern Literature. AMS Press. ISBN 978-0-404-65531-0.. Would also be much grateful for access to the books bibliography. Thanks in advance –P. S. Burton (talk) 22:38, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
I would also very much appreciate a copy of Dickson, Rachel; MacDougall, Sarah (2004). "The Whitechapel Boys". Jewish Quarterly. 51 (3). Routledge: 29–34. doi:10.1080/0449010X.2004.10706848. for the same article. P. S. Burton (talk) 11:23, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

@P. S. Burton: I couldn't find the AMS Press book online or in libraries. I contacted both Professor Baker and Shumaker and they’ve confirmed that the book has not yet been published. Interestingly, there is an upcoming detailed entry on Lazarus Aaronson in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography written by professor Baker. The York and Lancaster Regiment
- O. F. Sheffield, The York and Lancaster Regiment, 1758-[1953], Volume 3
The above book only has snippet view on Google Books and is unavailable on Amazon. Does anyone have access to pp. 94 and 95? They appear to explain why the 70th Infantry Division was ordered not to exploit its success and sent to Syria in 1942. I have, it would seem, exhausted my options on attempting to find the answer to the last point and this book appears to hold the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 00:29, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Brave New Words: The Oxford Dictionary of Science Fiction
Hello. I'm interested in the entry for "slash" in Brave New Words: The Oxford Dictionary of Science Fiction (Oxford University Press 2007, ISBN 978-0-19-530567-8) -- at the very least, I would like to know how is it defined, and what are the earliest quotations listed. Most of the book can be browsed on Google Books, but unfortunately the relevant pages are not available there. The entry is apparently also available here at Oxford Reference, but for subscribers only. --JudgeDeadd (talk) 11:24, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Rabbitfish
In expanding the article on Siganus doliatus, I came across the abstract of a research study Pair formation in the herbivorous rabbitfish Siganus doliatus which mentions that pairs of fish have a novel feeding behaviour but does not mention what the behaviour is. Request for recently published sources relating to Kenji Miyazawa
Requesting any recent encyclopedic type sources, or extended sections of any works of a broadly academic or general biographical nature, regarding the subject Kenji Miyazawa, for use in determining the structure and content of that article. It would probably be most useful if any sources other than encyclopedias, handbooks, and similar collected works had articles or chapters or whatever of no more than 20 or so pages, to permit a more reasonable ability to determine what subsections and material to include, and the relative weight of such sections. Need Billboard Year-end Chart for Selena in 1995
Does anyone have the issue dated December 30, 1995 of Billboard magazine? I need the year-end results for Selena, currently working on Dreaming of You. Thanks, jona(talk) 23:17, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
- Hi AJona1992, there does not seem to be a December 30, 1995 issue of Billboard magazine. The 23 Dec 1995 issue is available here and has the article titled "Latin '95 marked by one name:Selena". The entire billboard magazine archives can be found here. I've also checked the ProQuest archives and Vol. 107 (51) seems to be the last issue in that year. Do you have any more information? - NQ (talk) 08:06, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- That's strange, seeing that they are a weekly magazine. That issue doesn't provide me with the year-end results of the Billboard 200; I decided to check other albums released that year and found a source that was unpublished on Billboard magazine. Thank you for helping, jona(talk) 13:20, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

- @AJona1992: Figured it out! The 23 December magazine was a special double issue which was on display till January 1(hence the lack of a December 30, 1995 issue). It also includes the "Year in Music' charts. You can view the complete double issue here. The information you are looking for is on page YE-22 (pg. 78 in the pdf). - NQ (talk) 14:21, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Debretts 2015 or Debretts Forms of Address
2 or 3 of us are trying to find the current practice for addressing and writing about peers who are, and are not, members of the Privy Council of the United Kingdom.
Specifically, we want the relevant quotations from Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage 2015, which apparently is in the larger public reference libraries in the UK, and is often considered to be authoritative for forms of address.

In this review, we have tabulated evidence of changes in motor coordination, learning, memory, locomotion, anxiety, response to novelty and aversion to feline odour in rodents experimentally infected with T. gondii. In general, there was no consistent indication of the direction or magnitude of behavioural changes in response to infection.

Article on church bells in Canterbury, UK
I'm trying to expand the article Hatch bell foundry, and it would be really helpful if someone could provide me with a copy of an article in Vol. 1, No. 1, of a journal of local history called Cantium (ISSN 0590-7977) concerning the church bells of Canterbury, UK.[17] The 1970 source in which I've found this article mentioned is very vague, and those are the only certain details I have to hand: it mentions "Thomas Becket Books", but given the location I'd guess that's a publisher or bookseller rather than the author, although WorldCat says that the journal Cantium was published by Kent Council of Social Services. The author may be Robert H. Goodsall. Any help gratefully received. Nortonius (talk) 15:07, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Nortonius: Hi. Uploaded for you, here. As far as I could see no author was listed. "Thomas Becket Books" in Cambs. was the publisher (in 1969) though, yes. —146.199.151.33 (talk) 19:50, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

I have started overhauling the above article, and I have hit a snag. I have not been able to locate any source, other than this one that has limited snippet view on Google Books and no Amazon preview, that discusses the founding of the division. Does anyone have access to the opening pages/first chapter of this book? Any help would be much appreciated.--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 22:20, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Various editions are out there. OCLC 59379858 OCLC 237795008 OCLC 40839635 Held in lots of libraries, or bn.com shows that Eurobooks has it in Fairford for $7.63 if you need your own. LeadSongDog come howl! 04:30, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- From personal experience, no longer living in England means its a lot harder to get my hands on books such as these. The oclc links show that the nearest copy to me are out of state and held at universities meaning my local library will not help. I have the sources at hand (the official history and others), or access to them via the net, to write up an overview of the division, but I lack a source that discusses the formation of the division. I will not be purchasing a copy of this book for one chapter.
- If someone has access to a copy and wants to collaborate, that would be wonderful!EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 09:26, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

This request relates to the British railway magazine RAIL. I just need the page number(s) on which the story "Enter the South Western Turbos" appears in issue number 192, dated 20 January 1993. This is for the planned article "Rolling stock of Network SouthEast", which is currently living in a nearly complete state in a sandbox @ User:Hassocks5489/NSERS. The reference in question was added to the Network SouthEast article itself without a page number.

Burke's Peerage & Baronetage, 107th edn, volume 1, page 655
The book Burke's Peerage & Baronetage, 107th edn, volume 1, page 655, published 2003, ISBN 0-9711966-2-1 has recently been cited in the article on David Cameron. Supposedly this page shows that David Cameron is a descendant of the Cameron chiefs, the 18th of Lochiel in particular, and that David Cameron is therefore an eighth-cousin of the current chief. I doubt the source says any of this. Since this is a high-profile article I'd like to verify the claim and see exactly what it says about the Camerons.--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 01:04, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

An unreliable source claims that a tooth from the Piprahwa finds by Peppe "was taken by the author Charles Allen in 2004 to the of Natural history Museum in London, where palaeontologists declared it to be a molar tooth of a pig!", citing Vicky Mackenzie, "Buried with the Buddha", The Sunday Times Magazine 21st March 2004, pp. 36-42. A copy or a quote from this paywalled article would be much appreciated. Thank you JimRenge (talk) 09:17, 20 June 2015 (UTC)

Anybody have access to 24 symbols?
A book came out a few days ago covering the history of transportation in Ontario from settlement days to present. From the bits I can view on Google Books, it would be a diamond mine of citations for hundreds of articles that I work on. Unfortunately the book is $60 and not in libraries near me yet (or anytime soon for that matter), but it is https://www.24symbols.com/book/english/robert-bradford/keeping-ontario-moving---the-history-of-roads-and-road-building-in-ontario?id=516634 available online at 24 symbols]. I was wondering if anybody had access to this and would be willing to work out some arrangement with me? Cheers, Floydian τ ¢ 19:45, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

Inaccessible Australian source
This is my first request, so please bear with me. I was redirected here by WP:SOURCEACCESS. There's an issue on CSI: Cyber (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) about the number of episodes of the show's second season. The Australian source from the initial edit was inaccessible for me and those residents outside of Australia. I was wondering if anybody is willing to check if this confirms if the number of episodes is 22? I have found other sources confirming such, but it's Instagram and YouTube (which is discouraged). PS: If I am at the wrong place or my request was wrongly filed, please let me know. Callmemirela (Talk) ♑ 23:51, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Edge No. 114
Hello, I'm looking for issue 114 of Edge magazine, published in September 2002. There's a review on Super Mario Sunshine in this issue on pp. 80–83. It looks like the review isn't available online, so I'd like to ask if someone is able to provide a scan. I'd like to use the Edge review as a source for the German article on Super Mario Sunshine, which I'm currently writing from beginning. I could also add a source to the Edge review score in the English article on the game.
Thanks in advance and best regards, Geierkrächz (talk) 15:17, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
