The solar eclipse of 27 January 632 was an annular solar eclipse visible in East Africa, Arabian Peninsula, India, and China. [1] [2]

The eclipse occurred at the time of the death of , a 21-month-old son of .

When Ibrahim, the beloved son of Muhammad died at age of 21 months, an eclipse occurred, and rumours of God's personal condolence quickly arose.[3]

But he stood at the mosque and said:

"The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life of someone. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah."[4]
