Ophir Township is located in LaSalle County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 508 and it contained 201 housing units.[2] Ophir Township was originally named Fremont Township, but was renamed in May, 1850.

[edit]According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 33.97 square miles (88.0 km2), of which 33.95 square miles (87.9 km2) (or 99.94%) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.052 km2) (or 0.06%) is water.[2]
