  10. leading no-bracket uppercase local - Local X [0]

With country disambiguation the following where found:

  1. X (province of)
  2. X (country)
  3. X (somelandian province)

Note: in english it is common to uppercase, i.e. one does not write new York city.

Title vs. text

usage in article titles and article text sometimes differs. In some cases this might make linking more difficult.

  • "X (english)" vs. "X english"
    • if "X english" is allowed in text, why not use it for title? (if you would not like this solution, please try to put it in words and write it here)
      • pro: 1) editor friendly, you wikify what is written. otherwise only because of the brackets one has more work 2) voice friendly, you can easier tell the article name to someone on the phone
  • "english of X" vs. "X english"
  • "english of X" vs. "X English"

Terms for subnational entities

Current use

User:NoPuzzleStranger claims the only reason for the "current use" is that, as he says, User:Tobias Conradi unilaterally (i.e. without establishing a consensus first) moved hundreds (maybe thousands) of pages to the "X Entity"-type format. Statistics for this claim showing pages unilaterally moved by him, those moved by others, those that were allready in "X Entity"-format and those not moved at all are missing. It is uncontested that Tobias Conradi moved a lot of pages from "X entity", "X (entity)", "Entity of X".
